Our Townhouse rental property in Alexandria was severely damaged by tenants. We moved to Richmond last year so managing a project this size from 110 miles away seem overwhelming. JC Custom Painting came in and repaired major drywall damage, pluming problems, replaced carpet, hung new mini blinds and hung new ceiling fans. They got rid of the horrible pet urine and fecal odor that consumed the townhouse. Don't want to sound gross but this place was really nasty. Don't let the "Painting" fool you. JC Custom Paining arranged the different trades, made recommendations on the flooring type, paint, blinds etc that helped make the townhouse looks awesome. JC also painted the exterior. Some wood on the exterior was beginning to rot. I had not noticed. JC pointed it out and corrected to stop future more expensive repairs. The townhouse did not look like the same property. We had 4 offers to rent within the first 48 hour of it being back on the market. JC Custom Painting has done work for my wife and I now for 8 plus years. They are consistently honest, fair and complete work on schedule. Have recommended JC Custom Painting to family and friends and they have always been extremely happy with work preformed for them. Before finding JC Custom Painting I was burned several times. NOVA is filled with rip off artists operating out of a pick up truck. JC Custom painting did an awesome job! Workers were punctual, professional, and skilled in repairing wall cracks, nail pops, and blemishes prior to painting our older home. They created beautiful and unique shadow boxes in the foyer from a picture. The work was a lot more intricate than originally planned but JC staff pulled it off (see pic). The front door and shutters were also painted along with the metal roofing over the bay windows. I'd definitely use them again. Great job guys!

I was very happy with the finished work of JC painting. After getting several estimates, we settled on JC Painting. They did a great job painting the main floor of my home which included the kitchen, living room, dining room, 2- story foyer, 2- story family room, and bathroom. I had picture of what I wanted the house to look like and Edwin was able to make it look even better! The painting job looks very professional and neat. The crew was punctual every day. After living in our home for 14 years, and feel like I have a new home. I would highly recommend JC painting.

We need a quick turnaround on our townhome. He responded to us in a timely fashion and had a fair and reasonable price. My entire home needed to be painted and was completed in less than 5 days. Entire townhome! I will definitely hire again...and will be soon.

JC Custom Painting has done consistently awesome work for me now for over 8 years. JC Custom Painting completely painted the interior of my primary home in 2012 (4900 SQ FT) . We sold our home in Woodbridge in May, 2017. We had JC Custom Painting come in and touch up before we listed it on the market. When finished it looked like a new house! I met Edwin Ayala in 2010. We have used him for not only painting but power washing, plumbing and electrical work at our primary home and our rental town home in Alexandria. We have refereed Mr Ayala to family and friends and they have always been extremely happy with the quality and the value. Don't be scammed like I was by dirt cheap prices and the rip off artist in NOVA. Mr. Ayala has been consistent in his value and quality. There is a lot of cheap labor in NOVA and you get what you pay for! I moved to Richmond in May 2017. Mr. Ayala still takes care of our rental property and I wish he was available in Richmond too. JC Home Cleaning cleaned our home (4900 SQ FT) for 3 years. Went through several providers before we found JC Home Cleaning. These ladies have done an awesome job. First of all I feel safe with them in my home and have never worried about security for a second. When my elderly mother in law lived with us they treated her with respect and patients. The quality of their work is second to none. We moved to Richmond and I so wish they had been able to some with us. If we ever pointed out an area that needed extra focus they just added it to their normal routine from then on. I hired JC Custom Painting in February to paint my formal living room and dining room, office, basement ceiling as well as replace and patch drywall in the basement due to a leak. Edwin and his team are very responsive, on time, clean up and after the job is done. They are helpful in selecting paint colors and making recommendations on crown molding and the overall look. They are perfectionists and will spend ample time to ensure the walls are sanded properly, before painting, patch cracks and ensure the paint job is top notch. I have used JC for two other major projects in the past three years and would highly recommend using this company. Reliable and trustworthy.

2nd time we have used them. Great, Quick scheduling, punctual, and quick exceptional work. Helped problem solve some cracking issues. Plan to use again soon for another project.

Their team finished the work in two days and weeded around the bottom of the fence before hand. Fence looks great, workers were on time, price was good.

Have received a lot of compliments. I will be using this company from now on. Referred them to my neighbor who will be using them also. Painted hallway foyer, living room, kitchen which included ceilings, trim and doors. Appreciated the prep work completed prior to painting to include patching where lighting was installed.

Excellent. The painters cleaned up daily. Swept up, picked up and vacuumed their work areas everyday. Put away all their tools daily. Very polite and courteous also. All nail pops and cracks from settling were repaired to perfection. The lines between the ceiling and walls are impeccable. They also have a good eye for color and made some awesome recommendations.

Edwin and his team did a fantastic job from start to finish. Edwin came and met with me ahead of time to talk through the job and gave great suggestions on the color pallettes. On the day of the job, his team showed up on time, did a great job prepping the two rooms before painting, did a fantastic job painting and cleaning up the spaces afterward. I will be calling Edwin for my next home improvement job!

He also suggested additional touches that made the project look even better that I originally envisioned. Edwin and crew listened to what I wanted. They made sure that all the i's were dotted and t's were crossed. They addressed every issue or question I had. I selected JC Contracting and Painting after carefully interviewing several other painters. I saw first-hand the handiwork from others and am very happy with my choice. To me communication is key, and Edwin never failed. He knows his profession and takes great pride in the results of the work that he and his painters produce. I would hire him again in a heartbeat.

I hired this company for a painting job in my 2 story townhouse. I was a bit concerned as to what the finished result would be due to the poor quality of work previously done in the home before I purchased it. I didn't think that it would be possible to make it look anything but a "little" better, but I was pleasantly surprised! The walls, ceiling and trim looked fantastic! Edwin was very responsive and professional when I contacted him to discuss the job and the turn around time from my initial request to job completion was quick. The technician was polite, detailed and every care was made to protect the surrounding areas from the paint. (not a drop, and believe me, I checked!) They charged a fair price and I feel that my money was well spent. I would definitely hire them again.

Edwin initially came out to give us an estimate and take a look at what would need to be done. He was prompt and courteous. Once he completed the estimate we established a date to being the work. Edwin's crew were beyond professional and detailed. Edwin wouldn't let us pay him until the job was complete and we were completely satisfied. He went out of his way to insure that the finished product was meticulous! His knowledge of the entire paint process was unbelievable. There were things that we could not vision but were willing to trust his opinion on. Turns out he was absolutely correct. He paid attention to every detail in our house. By far the best painting we've seen. He earned our business and we are now loyal customers!

It was a frustrating experience. I gave them a 'C' rating because after many phone calls & stops into the house, the paint job looks pretty good. However, getting there wasn't as easy as it should've been. When I met with the owner, I was very specific about patching the holes where I had removed electric baseboard thermostats & replacing drywall behind the removed baseboard heaters (years of heat had made the drywall brittle). After the 2nd day of work, I stopped into the house & none of the thermostat holes were patched, several areas where the heat had been removed were not fixed & there was paint on the walls. They had also painted over all the outlets and light switches in the rooms. I called & the owner told me they would fix it, but I needed to go buy more paint. It took several rounds of this & many, many gallons of paint for the job to be finished correctly. I will not hire this company to do similar work in the rest of the house.

I wanted several rooms in my house painted and I wanted epoxy on my garage floor. Edwin and his team did an awesome job. Edwin made sure I purchased quality materials that were durable and will last a long time. The team was very professional and took the time to make sure that I was completely satisfied with the job before they left. The job was completed at a reasonable price. I will definitely use JC Custom Painting again!

Edwin and his crew did such a beautiful job with painting some of the interior areas of our home that we have hired them again to paint the exterior. They are currently in process with that. Edwin is also helpful with recommending other competent contractors. He is trustworthy and responsive. The quality and craftsmanship is top notch. Edwin and his team did a quality job on the interior paint of our 3 level townhouse. They also did the molding and the trim. He and his team were very detailed and even came back on Mothers day to repair and paint something in the drywall that they did not have the tools for on the day the work was completed. I highly recommend Edwin and am sure will use him in the future.

GREAT experience from start to finish. I had started removing wallpaper from my master bathroom and was planning to replace the wallpaper with paint. After several hours of work, I gave up and decided to let a professional finish the job. Based on the positive reviews for JC Custom Painting on Angie's List, I called Edwin, and he came to my house the same day to give me a quote which was very reasonable. I inquired about the cost of having the master bedroom painted as well, and he said if I did the bathroom and the bedroom, he'd give me a deal, so I took him up on it! I sent him the paint colors I wanted and we set up a date and time for the job. On the morning of the job, Edwin and his crew showed up 5 minutes early and immediately got to work. Edwin noticed that the ceiling in the bedroom needed to be touched up as well as the baseboards, so he took it upon himself to go to the paint store and buy the paint needed for touch ups. Edwin couldn't stick around due to a previous commitment, but he left me in good hands. The guys worked quickly, making repairs along the way. To my surprise, they even did some much needed caulking around my shower! The guys were friendly and professional, did an amazing job and cleaned up after they were done. Edwin came by the next day to check on the work that was done, and I told him I was very pleased. He assured me that if I saw anything wrong, to let him know and they would come back and fix it. I highly recommend JC Custom Painting, and I will definitely be calling them again when I need some more painting done. Very good painters and reasonable prices.
