Jand M tile came to place a granite counter top in our new kitchen. Hazel was our contact and she was great and gave us an amazing price. The installers, however, we're another matter. We are installing a farmhouse sink which, with the way this one gets installed, would make it easier to place(it goes on top of the granite all the way to the back). I gave them a drawing to help. When they first came out to measure the sink was not in place because it has to go over the granite. I gave him the drawing schematics that came with the sink that explained how the countertop needed to be done in that area. He didn't speak any English and I don't speak we'll enough Spanish to explain. He clearly was having difficulty. He left and Hazel contacted me letting me know that they had to measure again with the sink in place(who does that?). So my contractor had to come in and fabricate a countertop to mimic how the actual sink would fit. Jand M came a 2nd time to measure and my contractor happened to be there. They explained how it should placed and showed the schematic and explained in Spanish what it meant. They took measurements and when I offered to give a copy of the diagram they declined. Suffice it to say they came back on install day(over week later not 3 days as originally promised) and it didn't fit. They had to cut into my wall to make the sink fit appropriately(they do not do a template to account for an uneven walls) AND they left huge gaps between the countertop and the walls and tried to fill it with caulk. I even had a supervisor out there. The tile doesn't cover where the gaps are so we'll have to silicone it. It was disappointing. I would have paid more for better quality. Our kitchen was easy too; two small "L" shapes and a rectangle (I think 46 sqft. total) and no backsplash with a standard edge. So great price, great customer service, poor execution.

The experience with Jand M Tile was fantastic from the beginning. Hazell, the customer service representative was very informative, prompt, and detailed in her communication. We were able to do most everything through email, which was helpful because I cannot usually talk on the phone during business hours. I sent her item numbers for the granite we wanted and measurements and she was able to give me quotes within 24 hours. She had someone out to do final measurements just a few days after I signed the contract. The man she sent, Grober, was on time and very focused on his measurements. He did not speak very much English, but Hazell let me know that ahead of time. We changed the design to include an overhang on the island so we could have barstools and they did not even charge me for the extra square footage. There was a hiccup because the sinks we purchased were missing the template and Hazell went above and beyond to contact Kohler, order new templates and they were able to fabricate the granite that same day. We had a small timeframe and Hazell and the crew worked within it, even though we were hit with an unusual early March snowstorm on the day install was supposed to occur. She juggled things a bit and was able to get the counterops and bathrooms installed by the end of that week. The granite in the kitchen and bathrooms looks beautiful. We are very pleased with their service and would not hesitate to recommend them and use them again in the future if the need arises.
