+ 0 moreAs I said above. They produced an excellent solution at a reasonable price and did a wonderful job - on time, on schedule and per appraisal!!!
Description of Work: The water from my gutters was leaking directly from my roof into my basement. I needed gutter repair work. I contacted the top rated gutter repair people on Angie's list and did I go through horrible experiences. First of all, I had a difficult problem getting them to even come out and when they did their appraisals, which were done in a very superficial manner, I had to make repeated phone calls to get the appraisals. Then the appraisals were super-inflated in price. Then I remembered using Hyland Home Services year, after year, (also recommended by Angies List) for gutter cleaning. They were always the best and trusted me, just leaving the invoice on my doorstep - the price was always reasonable. I asked them if they could help me out. Since they were busy, they committed to several weeks away. They showed up promptly, gave me a practical, reasonable solution which included gutter guards in the back, caulking, & more for $500.00. They did not try to add in extras I did not need for several thousand. They came and did the work and solved the problem. We are having them come back in the Spring for some unrelated work. I cannot say enough good things about them!!!

+ 0 moreMr. Hyland was exceedingly conscientious about his work; he was thorough; advised me of what needed to be done, what was still in good condition and cleaned all the gutters and downspouts for me. He had to remove several large limbs on trees that were blocking the placement of his ladder, which was above and beyond what he normally would have had to do. He also re-affixed a chimney cap that had blown off during a recent storm -- on the side of the house that was 3-1/2 stories tall! I couldn't have asked for a more pleasant and competent gentleman to work with.
Description of Work: gutters repaired/replaced, and cleaned out, gutter guards installed, wood replaced that was supporting the downspout.

+ -1 moreIt didn't go very well. There was a lot of communication back and forth with him. He came in with a special for around $99 to clean the gutters. I wrote to him because I have covers on the gutters, we went back and forth several times about that. I ended up only paying them $90, I had my other contractor check the gutters. There was still a lot of debris in some of the gutters. I did contact him and he told me to pay him what I thought he deserved. So instead of $99, I sent him $90. They were supposed to clean the gutters and the downspouts. They were supposed to remove the caps and replace them. I think they could improve on just clarifying exactly what their services include, especially when people have gutter caps. The resolution was the best part for me. I was not happy, I did not want him to come back and be doing more work because I wasn't convinced it would be done right. In the process they ended up disturbing the bird's nest. He was very responsive. I would not use this provider again.

He had to be creative to get into the spaces in the laundry room and he did a great job! Also, both the painter and the owner were very professional and personable and a pleasure to work with.

+ -1 moreWow, Hyland Home Services was the epitome of professionalism. I purchased a big deal through Angie's List. Jim Hyland emailed me to schedule within a day or two of my purchase, and we easily agreed on a date. He said I didn't need to be present when they performed the service. On the day they performed the service, I came home while they were cleaning the gutters. I was impressed at what a thorough job they were doing cleaning up after themselves, even though for all they knew, I wouldn't show up while they were still there. They cleaned the gutters well and also cleaned up after themselves with a leaf blower. It was a great experience.

Another email was sent the day before they came out and they arrived as promised. They had to clean around a few cars in the driveway but did a great job, including clean up. We've used them once before and will use them again next fall.

He came out and was quick, efficient, and very professional. It turned out that our gutters were so clogged that the job should have cost $220, but because he quoted me $150 over the phone he did the job for the lower price. I was so appreciative (and surprised!) of him sticking to his original quote, as well as his honest advice about how we should take care of our gutters in the future. Highly recommend and would hire again.

I called, they were 2 weeks out, I said book-it, they called in about a week and said they could come by that day and if there was an issue to let them know, I let it ride and we went about our plans away from home, they came by, left an invoice on the door, gutters cleaned. Didn't know anybody still performed in a timely manner, did what they said, and trusted me to pay them. What else do they do? I'll take one of everything!! My new favorite vendor.
