Did a good job. One suggestion: Add an offset extension to ladder used to climb on-top of roof so that ladder will not use any part of the gutter for load bearing...could offer this as a extra feature and charge extra as well.

Did a fantasic job. Took three workers 3 days. Showed up every day even though it was freezing. Extremely thorough. Cleaned up behind themselves. Made my garage doors (which I had considered replacing) look like new. Matched paint perfectly. House looks fabulous. Really nice guys and would call again in the future.

Everything was fine, it just took a long time for them to come out. They did a good job at a reasonable price.

I contacted Mr Hyland and we went over the color choices and in the next couple weeks the painter came with the paint and all the equipment needed. He was very professional and even offered to paint my planter with the leftover paint when he was finished painting, I highly recommend Hyland Homes Services.

They went out and did the job. They added a slight surcharge because the roof was pretty large, but this was disclosed to me as a possibility before they went out. Professional. Fast. Nice job.

We were notified shortly after we purchased the deal that he was running a bit behind, but should be out in about a week which was fine with us. As promised, he showed up and cleaned the gutters to my husband's satisfaction. We were very pleased. We would recommend the company based on our experience.

The process for setting up an appointment was really easy. I had called the week before on the 15th of February and left a message. He called me back the next day and we discussed the issue I was having. During heavy rains, rain was flowing over my gutters in the front and the back of the house. He said he thought it was probably just clogged down spouts and he would take a look when he was out to do the gutter cleaning. We were able to setup an appointment for Monday. He cleaned the gutters, and also demonstrated what the problem was. I have solid gutter guards, the gutters themselves are not very wide, and the pitch of the roof is mild. So the water was just running past the gutters when there is a heavy rain. He recommended getting wider gutters to address the problem, but that is a project for another day.

They were very professional, punctual and did a wonderful job.

I purchased the Deal on Angie's list for $249 for a painter for the day. We selected to have two painters for the day ($498) given the amount of work that needed to be done after our tenants moved out (i.e. two bathrooms, a ceiling, some trim, and touching up the paint throughout the house). After everything didn't get done the first day Jim and I walked through the house and we prioritized the areas we would like to be painted with 1 painter for an additional 8 hours. Upon completion of the second day the painter did not finish everything as estimated, however Jim sent the painter back for a couple hours the next day to finish at no additional cost. The house is now move in ready, and we are very happy with the quality of work.

I bought one of Hyland Home Services offers to higher one person for 8 hours for $249 to paint the garage. In general I was pleased with the work performed. The person who did the job was able to finish the work within 8 hours. Jim Hyland was in touch with me before, during and after the job was done to make sure it was done to my satisfaction.

The experience with Hyland Home Services was pretty good. The person that they sent over did good work, but worked a little to fast and I think he was anxious to get out the door well before the 8 hours. We told him that we were going to start with the one room and see how long that took and then we had some other stuff. He thought it was only the one room and when we said no there was a lot more to do. He didn't even check with us to see if there was anymore after that. We said there was more work and he tried calling his boss. He complained the whole time he was here. He missed stuff so we called his boss and his boss came over and fixed some of the stuff he had done. The painter was not professional, but the boss was a good guy. I would consider using them again.

The business owner came alone. He's polite and professional. The job was done nicely.

They worked on our home over several days. The painters were neat, spoke good English and were very professional. Overall a very good experience.

Our original scheduled service date was for the day before the service, but high winds made working on the roof too dangerous. So Jim Hyland arrived the following day on time. This was the first time we had had the gutters cleaned since purchasing our new home on a heavily wooded lot. The gutters had not been cleaned all season. Jim started on the roof, blowing out each of the gutters. While on the roof he checked the attic turbine roof mounts and hammered down a few loose nails. Our home inspection indicated a possible leak around a vent through the garage roof. Jim checked that as well and said it looked fine, and to wait to replace it when replacing the roof, that he stated probably had less than three years life, which was consistent with our home inspection. Done on the roof, Jim blew all of the gutter leaf debris off the deck and driveway, and cleared a path on our back patio and walkway that was covered with inches of leaf litter from neglect by the previous homeowner. Finally Jim reconnected our disconnected downspout on one corner of the house. As he packed up I asked for a quote to remove the leaves from the front yard, which he provided. When i indicated I was contemplating doing it myself he suggested a brand of leaf blower and even where to get it, stating it would pay for itself. Always happy to hear a contractor tell me how I can save money to do something myself if I like. A couple of days ago (about a month after service) Jim called asking if we still needed the leaves removed from the front yard. We declined, having taken care of it ourselves a couple of weekends ago, but appreciated the offer and thanked him for remembering our inquiry. Overall very pleased with Jim's quality of work and professionalism. Would definitely use Hyland Home Services again in the future for exterior home maintenance.

He performed the work within five days of leaving a request on his VM. He left a message letting us know they were very busy and it might take a day or two longer. Very easy to deal with and reasonably priced. So much better than the other major gutter companies we have used. There is never a high pressure sales process.

I purchased the $249 painter for a day deal to paint the exterior of a bay window, garage, and front door trim. My initial appointment had to be rescheduled because the temperature outside was too cold for the paint to cure properly. Communication was excellent throughout the entire process, and the work was great. I have already recommended them to others, and will definitely be a repeat customer.

The provider's statement is true: I have never painted rooms before and my expectations for 8 hours of work were apparently unrealistic. I do wish I had been told that before the day of the painting (I believe I described the spaces accurately to the provider) so that I could have made plans accordingly, such as hiring someone who had more time, but I do share in the responsibility for my goals not being met. I was working with a deadline (moving out) and I probably should have double checked with the provider about how long the job would take. My advice is to confirm exactly how much can be done in the specified amount of time when buying a flat-rate service for "XYZ hours".

They were on time, did a thorough job painting, and cleaned up their mess.

If I had to do this again, I would not go with Hyland Home services. I like to know what I'm getting into and not just be given a bill at the end with the suggestion to have gutter rails installed. If they want my future business, then they really should take the time to at least talk to me. I return phone call at the very least would have been nice.

The owner was very responsive, and followed up with phone calls to give me information on who would show up and when. The person showed up and immediately noted that the disrepair of the room would require that he work two days - paint what he could the first day and repair the rest, then finish the second day. This essentially doubled the cost, but the work was very thorough and he did spend the time and great care making sure the surface was good. He spent 7 hours the first day, and although I paid for 8, I am pretty sure I paid less for the overage to compensate. Even if I didn't, the owner came out to inspect and discuss the work, and volunteered to get up on our roof and fix some exterior damage for free, so that's more than we expected.

Jim and his son came out to our townhome in the timeframe we expected and did a wonderful job. I love that you dont have to be home for them to do their job and they leave the invoice in the front door. We had recently moved into our home and had no clue that there were gutter guards installed. We live in an extremely tall townhome. And Jim didn't know we were the new homeowners so he figured we knew about the guards. After the gutters were cleaned we had a really bad storm and the drainage in the front didnt seem to be any better so we called Jim and thats when he told us about the poorly manufactured product on our gutters that the previous owner had installed. There are no trees directly above our home so the only way debris would get into the gutters would be from crosswinds. Jim came back within a few days and took the guards off for us, no problem! Our drainage system is SO MUCH better now! He was so wonderful to work with. Prompt, professional, and very kind. As a new homeowner, its refreshing when businesses are patient with me and take the time to explain stuff. We highly recommend HHS and plan to use them in the future. :)

This is the second time we've worked with Jim Hyland, and we were again very pleased. He promptly responded to my initial email and put us on the schedule within a day. When he arrived on time, he was very professional and introduced himself. He did a thorough job and left the yard clean as well. We hope to use his services again.
