Everything went super. Mr. Hyland is punctual and responsive. As we waited for the Spring rain to break, Mr. Hyland made the extra effort to contact us to update the work schedule. Mr. Hyland and his painting crew worked well together and were very professional. There were multiple locations with damaged and rotted wood trim, and Mr. Hyland personally made the needed repairs. The quality of the work is superior. We are happy to provide Mr. Hyland this reference; it is well deserved.

Mr. Jim Hyland did an excellent job cleaning our gutter and washing all sides of our one family house. It looks like new and as if it would have been painted . He took his time and was very thorough . Jim is also honest and a really nice down to earth gentleman , who wasn't hesitant to answer all my questions . I highly recommend him. Jim was great. I thought I might have to replace gutters and soffit since they had gotten quite dirty from surrounding oak trees over the years. After Jim finished they looked bright and clean. I was so pleased I had him come back to clean our Trex deck. It, too, came out looking fantastic. Each job was about $300, a very fair price. I would definitely use Jim's services again and have no hesitation in recommending him.

Hyland secured parts of the gutter that were falling down and cleaned out the entire gutter system around our home. It was very easy to schedule the service call and have the work completed. Very professional and trustworthy company.

Jim did a fabulous job cleaning, patching carpenter bee holes, and painting our deck. His care, attention to detail, and thoroughness seems to be how he would approach doing the work on his own property. He suggested a high quality stain (Benjamin Moore Arborcoat) and brought some paint samples he had made at the paint store that day so we could get a good feel for the colors (sometimes the paint chips at the store are too small), including some colors we hadn't considered. We ended up picking a color that was closer to what he recommended, and it turned out to be a great choice. Jim and his small crew took the time necessary to properly clean and prepare the deck for painting, and painted sufficiently to ensure full coverage of every surface of the deck and railings. We are confident the work will stand up to a few seasons. He was also very thorough in putting up plastic sheeting on surrounding surfaces, so that not one speck of overspray resulted. Hyland Home Services is a company we would recommend without any reservations, which is not something we say about most providers. Their service and integrity is second to no other providers we have worked with.

I contacted this provider on 11/21 requesting gutter cleaning. They responded the following day that tey were 10 to 14 days out on gutter cleanings but would place me on their list and do the work when they were in my area and leave an invoice. Easy enough. I reached back out on 12/1 to check and see if they'd still be able to do the work and receieved a response of "we'll certainly try." Today is 12/12 and my gutters are not cleaned and I never heard a word further from anyone at this company.

I had called just to have the debris clean from the gutters, but it was decided by the homeowner to replace the gutters with the covered gutters for the house. Mr. Hyland provided an estimate of the cost and the time. Upon the removal of the gutters, he noticed that the boards were damaged, and he replaced that and removed the climbing weeds that had rooted themselves to the house. He applied a weed killer to remove the growth. Jim Hyland communicated with us every step of the way. The work is impeccable. I wished that every business had his since of pride and customer service focus.

Great job! I would not hesitate to recommend Jim. He inspected and re-sealed my neighbor's gutter end cap, which had been leaking during rainstorms and spilling onto the brick of my townhouse. The result of the leak was that the mortar in that spot was deteriorating, and the brick remained wet several days longer than the rest of the brick. Jim sealed the end cap as well as the surrounding flashing.

I have used Highland Homes Services in the past for outdoor painting, repair services, as well as gutter cleaning. They are always very professional and arrive on schedule. This particular service was for gutter cleaning and they did an excellent job, cleaning up any debris that was removed from the gutters. I plan to use them again this Fall and in the Spring.

They came without disturbing me, did the job, and left with everything neat and clean. I had mistakenly thought I paid for the service when I ordered it through Angies List but turns out I had only booked. They waited a month before very politely and apologetically sending me a text message to say they did not see my payment, to apologize if I had already paid (which I hadn't because O made a mistake) and to thank me for using them. I wrote them an apology for my failure to pay, explained and paid. I thought that not only did they do an excellent, on time,professional job but they were exceptionally courteous and understanding. I will use them again for sure.

I have a very large, multi-level deck that had fallen in disrepair. I had previously used Jim Hyland for gutter cleaning and was happy with his work, so I contacted him to do my deck. His quote was a little lower than another that I had gotten. My deck partially surrounds an above ground pool. He replaced the splintered boards, several that bordered the oval pool, and also repaired some areas that needed to be reinforced or patched. The deck also projects over a small pond. I was happy with both the workmanship and the care that was taken to protect my pool, pond, home and the surrounding area. The finished result is fantastic! Jim was easy to communicate with, and was so helpful in the decisions that needed to be made regarding the stain color and the product that was used. I will definitely use Hyland Home Services again!

Mr. Jim Hyland showed up exactly as scheduled. I have a larger home built in the early 30's with several "bump out" areas that are separately guttered. He had all necessary equipment with him. First thing, he walked around the house to survey the job, and told me the roof pitch appeared walk-able and would probably not add to cost. He worked for quite a while clearing the gutter systems and when done, sought me out to provide insight and recommendations. He walked me around the house again, educating me on my gutters and drains. He showed me why they are best size for good drainage. He showed me where leaf litter had accumulated the most, and why. He gave me a suggestion of a downspout addition that would relieve some potential water build up on one of the "bump out" areas of my house. He further gave me roof assessment -(roof is good for several more years) - and suggestions on where I might want to enhance against potential roof leakage. Jim is a professional who knows his business well. I was most impressed at his willingness to take additional time to educate me on my system, providing suggestions that come only from years of experience. Hyland honored an Angie's List special at this price. It was a $200 job for sure. I asked him what other services he could offer me. I will use Hyland Home Services whenever I can. This is a company worth waiting for. First class all the way.

We contacted Hyland Home Services to perform gutter cleaning on our house. I specifically wanted to schedule the service while we were at home as we do with all first time service from contractors. When I called, I was informed that we did not need to be home, but I specifically scheduled the service a few weeks in advance for a day we would be there. I received a call the day before asking if we could re-schedule due to a scheduling conflict. Even though I was apprehensive about \having the service done while we were not there, I went ahead and re-scheduled for the following day. We were going out of town for a few weeks but we really wanted the gutters cleaned since we had one that was clogged and overflowing. When we got back, the service was completed and an invoice was left at our home. Upon inspection of the job, we found 2 areas that had sustained damage. One was a dent in the aluminum cladding around a second floor window. There was also a piece of stucco trim missing from the decorative stucco below that same window. I called Hyland Home services to talk about the damage (which was not present prior to the service). When I mentioned the damage, Hyland Home Services said that the damage was already there prior to the service. I am absolutely certain this is not the case. He then began to threaten alien on my property if I did not pay the bill. My phone call was never about getting out of paying for the service, but simply to have the damage repaired. Hyland Home services was very unprofessional, and began to become belligerent on the phone. The call ended with the threat of placing alien on the property, that he would never again perform any services for me and he abruptly hung up ending any further communications. I find it very odd that even when I scheduled several weeks in advance that he re-scheduled for a time when it was impossible for us to be there. The gutter cleaning was done, so I paid the bill in full. I am now stuck with having to repair the damage done.

Jim was great from the very start - was quick to respond to service request and had constant communication start to finish. Very professional and friendly. Even with an extremely busy workload was able to fit us in. For work completed very reasonable price. Looking forward to having Hyland Home Services come back out to work on our fence. Always nice to find a trust worthy experienced person! Thanks Jim!!

Jim Hyland was great to work with from beginning to end. I called to schedule gutter cleaning, and he informed me up front that he was very busy with all the recent rain and it would probably be a few weeks until he could come out. I also asked him to check our roof to see if any shingles needed replaced and let him know we had some extra ones in our shed. He said he would call the day before he came out so I could leave them on our back porch if he needed them, and he did just that. My husband arrived home when he and his wife were here and spoke with them for a bit. He told me they were very nice and he really liked them. Jim also told us we didn't have any shingles that needed replaced, and we really appreciate his honesty! We will definitely contact them again.

We communicated using Angie's List messages - they asked for address and front and back of house pics. They returned with quote. We accepted. They kept us informed of expected date of service and emailed us on the day. We were home and thought they did and excellent job - ours is not the easiest . Cleaned up the stuff blown out of the gutters. Very nice people.

He returned my call quickly but stated, we are in manassas. I said I was in Stafford county close to fauquier line. He said we don't go out that far. Yet his info on here states, serving Stafford county, also fauquier. I'm in Stafford, minutes away from fauquier. Just wanted this known so he could clarify the counties served. The gutter cleaning was not done.

They have done an outstanding job of cleaning out the gutters, and have not tried to sell me another product. They come on time and on the agreed-to date, and leave a receipt if you are not home.

It went very well, I would recommend them to anyone.
