Outstanding work yet again. We had our bathroom lighting replaced and Mike performed another great job. Came out to meet with us, went over the details of the job and knocked it out in the right time at the right price and as always the work was fantastic.

We have been using Mike & Home Remedies as our contractor/handyman for close to ten years. Time and again Mike has been the consummate professional and his works shows. The quality is tremendous and Mike (quite rightly) takes pride in his craft. We have had Mike do several large projects in our home and he just completed redoing our basement bathroom as we are having an elderly family member move in. We will continue to call on him for all and every future work. We cannot recommend him strongly enough.

Absolutely brilliantly! The true test being after a few months, the original work needed to be revisited and Mike upheld his work by addressing the issue right away! The quality of his work is impeccable. He is timely organized, professional, and courteous. I have referred him to another client and would, of course, use him again. As a real estate investor, I have worked with several contractors; he is at the very top of the list!

Mike Butterbaugh was so smart and his work was fantastic. He fixed problems that other handymen told us were unfixable and would have to be torn out and replaced. He was worth every penny. I highly recommend him for multiple projects, and would call him again absolutely!

We have used Mike as our go-to handyman for several years now. We just hired him again last week for some more repairs and the results were once again outstanding. He continues to be be prompt and professional. This is a guy who knows his trade & vocation and we are lucky to have him as a handyman.

It went super well. Mike was the master of fixing and repairing my house. He was very honest and efficient. I could tell he put his 100% effort to his work to satisfy his client. I am extremely pleased with the work provided. Mike arrived on time, was able to perform each task that I requested, is professional, pleasant and very competent. He fixed a door that two other handyman had told me to replace instead. He worked quickly and was extremely neat - vacuuming up and making sure that no dust was left in the area of the repairs, taking away all trash, etc. Mike is a thorough professional and I would call him again for any future repairs.

As usual, Mike did a great job. This was a lot of work and it was very hot. He was on time and made sure the work was done right.

He was very responsive and accommodating, providing me an estimate after hours and also squeezing me into his busy schedule at the last minute. The work took a little longer than expected and a couple things were left off my to do list that I thought were included in the initial estimate. I didn’t bother to say anything because he did re grout my entire tub which was not on my list so I was very appreciative. Here are the things I had issues with: The tile he replaced in the shower were a different color then what I have installed, the dry wall repair looks unfinished and although he took the time to explain my faulty shower plumbing issue (and even tried to to do the best he could to repair it), the shower is now in a worse condition than before the repairs and my water is not getting hot anymore.

Beyond my expectations! The old door was condensing inside and out, we knew there would be extensive damage to the wood framing and floor area beneath. It was worse than I expected. Mike installed the new door, created a way for our pet door to fit while still being able to LOCK the slider! Over three days - the tear out, purchasing of many materials, repairing the frame, installing the new door, repainting/restoring the interior and exterior to BETTER than they previously appeared, and rigging that new and improved pet door - he worked diligently. I have never had a workman that was so neat! Cleaning up debris, bagging trash, maintaining the work area organized and safe. I have already recommended him to friends, and they have all said how great he was! I have many other projects planned, and will not hesitate to call Home Remedies again.

Excellent - Mike was on time, finished ahead of schedule and the cost was less than the estimate. We have used Mike's services before and will definitely use them again.

From beginning to end Mike Butterbaugh from Home Remedies was simply awesome with renovating our two bathrooms! We live in a Townhome in Northern Virginia and the bathrooms needed to be stripped down completely with totally new Flooring, Painting, Sink, Toilets, and Showerheads. Mike's attention to detail, consistent follow-through, and consistent communication with updates on any issues is extremely rare in our experience when it comes to contractors! Indeed, we feel blessed and fortunate to have him as he is a refreshing change! Mike was always considerate of all our needs but also is adept at striking a balance with making suggestions/recommendations without being crass or arrogant. Mike's very strong philosophy that "he will do his jobs right" is spot on as he is beyond thorough and he takes serious pride in everything he touches. Our true barometer is the finished product and the bathrooms are excellent! Additionally, we are using Home Remedies for other needed jobs in our home (rafters, storm door etc.) In closing, we are referring Mike to multiple friends and neighbors and all we can say is if you are seeking a truly dedicated Professional Contractor who is not trying to rip you off, look nowhere else but Home Remedies! Mike will do the job right and does not accept mediocrity!

It went very well! Mike was courteous, coming with his own shoe covers that he wore without having to be prompted. He treated my house with respect, being careful to cover all of my furniture while working. He was communicative from the beginning - letting me know that due to a power outage, he was running late (rather than leaving me to guess) and keeping me updated throughout the progress of the projects. His work is very high quality and fast. His prices are reasonable. I’m already bringing him back for other projects! He’s a pleasure to work with.

Lots of folks write in their reviews that they would definitely "hire again". Well we hired Mike again. And once again, the work he performed was top notch. We needed more kitchen repairs owing to some very old equipment that was wearing out and he did a great job. He's very responsive. I texted him with what we needed, tossed out a few dates and a few hours later we settled on a date and time. I left the key under the mat, went about my day and came home to better (and cleaner) kitchen than I had left. Bottom line, Mike provides timely and professional service at a great price. And... You guessed it, I'll hire him again.

We needed the repair of ceiling and corner. This was not an easy fix. Mike did a great job. Would hire him again.

It is clear that Mike has a broad experience with handyman services. He effectively communicates upfront what he will be doing during an appointment. Also, Mike completes the work in a reasonable time that reflects his skills. His good personality and humor is a bonus.

Outstanding service. We had been waiting to get some kitchen repairs done for a while so I called Mike and it was easy as could be. We got in touch early in the week, set up a day for him to come out and he was right on time. He knocked out the job on time and the results were great. Our faucet and kitchen cabinet are back in order. He's trustworthy and reliable as well. I left the house during most of the job and came back to find him hard at work, sleeves up, with all our kitchen supplies gently and orderly set aside. Our deaf and blind old dog found Mike to be a great visitor as well. Highly recommend that you call Home Remedies.

He was very professional, he left everything cleaner than it was before he showed up, He was very nice, and trustworthy. We left a blank check out for him and after he got what he needed he left a receipt sitting there for us so we knew how much he spent and what he spent it on. Everything was just fine! He is very dependable and very honest. There were things that other people told us we needed replaced and he would check it out and a lot of the things other companies said we needed replaced he just fixed the problem for us. I would highly recommend him to others and I will be using him in the Spring again.
