Description of Work: I scheduled a move with G&J for later this month. After reserving a moving time, I purchased the voucher from the deals section. After purchasing the voucher I was informed by the company that they could no longer honor my reserved time. I will not be using G&J for my move and have contracted another company for the service. Description of Work: I used one of their Deals for my recent one bedroom move. They were very nice, efficient and moved everything including travel time in under the 3 hours on the deal. I would highly recommend them.

Description of Work: They moved me from one city to another. Most of my stuff was packed up and staged. They did have to assist with packing a few items, some that were fragile.

Description of Work: My wife and I cannot say enough good things about Nick and Max. We were very happy with their hard and quick work. They also had an attention to detail for the small things (even remembering where a box was in the old house, so we could remember at the new house!) Our move from Alexandria to Bristow took just under 5 hours. We purchased the coupon on here to save some money and when Nick arrived, he went over all of the other charges we may incur (such as packaging tape) or boxes. We did not need boxes but tape proved to be useful. I would recommend these guys to anyone considering using movers in NoVA!!

Description of Work: I bought the Big Deal and was pleased with the service. Needed to move some heavy furniture upstairs and some boxes into storage. There was a glitch with scheduling, but the company recognized the error and promptly rustled up a crew so I only waited a couple hours. The crew was extremely professional and efficient.

Description of Work: AMAZING MOVING COMPANY! I bought an Angie's Big Deal for $299/3 hours of moving with three men. These people were extremely professional with great communication skills. They showed up on time and gave me a call 30 min ahead as promised. The three men got right to work and were focused on getting the job done. They were extremely careful with my furniture and didn't scratch any walls. They were able to move everything under three hours. They were polite and on point. I am going to refer them to everyone I know. THANK YOU TO NICK AND HIS CREW!!!

Description of Work: I hired G&J Moving for the 3 hours 3 men with 16 ft. truck for $299.00 to move my townhouse furniture approx. 9 miles. I had rented my own 16 ft truck the previous day and got most of my regular sized items and boxes moved. I saved my sofa, dining room table, buffet and chairs, Queen bed and mattress set, bedroom dressers, computer table and patio set for the movers. This was the first time that I had hired professional movers for a move and I was very impressed with their punctuality and professionalism. They called in advance to let me know their estimated time of arrival and then called again to let me know they were there. Be advised, as this is something that I learned, some furniture requires disassembly in order to move which can eat into your block of time. Also, they diligently wrapped all my furniture in moving blankets with tape. The tape is an additional charge, but the blankets are provided at no cost, as were wardrobe boxes which made it very easy to move my closets of clothing. I didn't have them reassemble the furniture (bed and computer table) at my new house as the pack up and 20 minute drive to my house had eaten up most of my 3 hour chunk of time. Not a single item was damaged nor were the walls in either house. Very fine service.

Description of Work: G&J moved our 2-bedroom apartment from Baltimore to Olney. They were prompt (showed up at 10:15 when I was given an ETA for the 10 am to 11 am time period), and called at 9:45 to let me know when they would be here. Furniture moved with no issues, nothing broken, etc. I did inform G&J I wanted two televisions moved, but the movers refused to move those because I did not have the original boxes to pack them in and I had to move them myself. I was not too troubled by this, however, and the movers moved extra boxes and furniture that helped us a lot.

Description of Work: This was my first time using G & J Moving and I was extremely pleased with their services from the very first email. They responded right away and provided the cheapest quote out of the 5 - 7 companies I contacted. Any time I had a question or needed to update my move time, they were again quick to respond and very courteous. The day of the move, they not only showed up on time but also called ahead of time to verify that they were on the way. The move only took 3.5 hours for my 1 bedroom + living room furniture and it ended up being even cheaper than I expected! All in all, they did a great job and I would definitely recommend using their services if you are moving in the Arlington/Alexandria/Fairfax area!
