Responded quickly to call, came by that day with samples. let me take my time to decide(5 days). Completed roof in one day came by a couple days later to do the gutter guard,(this was agreed upon before they started) Roof looks great. I over paid due to my math error. They contacted me the next day to inform me of my error and arrange return of my $1000. very professional.

After a different company was solicting in the neighborhood and receiving a high pressure sales tactic for a "sign today price," I decided to get a few different estimates for a new roof. Furr had great reviews so I called and asked for an estimate. As opposed to the other company, Furr went up on the roof for measurements and a look around. The estimate was very competitive with another roofing company I called but decided to go with Furr. A sample board was left for me to pick shingles color and style, and Mark answered all questions when he called to schedule the work. The crew arrived on-time and began work, the first day they finished the roof over the house and came back the next morning to finish work over the garage. There was no mess and except for the shingles on the garage roof overnight, you would never guess that it was a work site. After the work was complete, I had a few questions and called Furr, Mark and the foreman came back out to the house to discuss with me in person - extremely impressed with their commitment to quality! Excellent work, prompt and professional service, and received a thank you note. Furr Roofing was definitely the right choice!

I chose Furr roofing because their price was the lowest of the 3 estimates - all top rated on Angie and Checkbook. After further research (on the internet), in addition to the roof (with ridge venting) we talked about adding soffit venting as well because I knew anything I had was inadequate. He provided prices for 2 grades of shingles; I chose energy star compliant ones. My roof is very steep and the men did use safety ropes. I had questions about some of the products in the bid and I thought his answers were good. There was damage to some (there are many) of my perennials but I won't put the onus totally on the roofers because the plants were totally heat stressed - it hadn't rained in weeks and I don't water established plants. Nothing that won't heal. Workmen next door said it was a well-made roof. Their clean-up was good and they used a magnet detector to pick up any fallen nails. Watching them applying the shingles - the nails were hammered in neat rows. The previous roof, based on the old nails, had the nails randomly inserted (which is probably why tiles eventually began to fall off). The soffit work was an add-on and I thought the price a bit high but the total cost was about that of the other bids without the added soffit venting.If I can add photos later, I will.

I had waterstains on the ceiling of my kitchen and the repair person I hired determined it was not a plumbing issue.I called Furr's and talked to Mark, the owner. He showed-up with his partner and they went right to work. They scaled the roof 40+ feet up with no problem. He found the issue (something to do with a saddle on the roof line) and provided the estimate. I accepted and he repaired the damage in short order. He turned down immediate payment and said he would mail me a bill, which came a few days later. He suggested I wait until after heavy rains to verify the issue was resolved before paying--a nice gesture and reflective of his confidence the problem was fixed. I paid the bill when it came in and have not observed any problems with the leaking roof. I'm pleased with his work and will call on him again.

I initially contacted Furr Roofing through their on-line web page, requesting an estimate for replacement of my 27 year old roof. I was contacted by Mark Furr and arrangements made to meet at my house for an estimate. At that meeting Mr. Furr provided the requested estimate and I asked him to proceed with installation. On the day agreed his crew arrived early, before 0730, and began work. All shrubs, back deck, hedges and flowers were covered to prevent damage, and off they went. By the end of the first day they had completed the "upper" elevation of roof and, upon leaving for the day, cleaned up all debris and removed the landscape protective coverings. The next morning they again arrived early and began replacing the roof over the garage. Again, protective coverings were placed. By 1:00 p.m. of the second day they had replaced a total of 48 sheets of plywood, two new skylights, one attic fan, and the Landmark 30 upgrade tile over the entire roof. Before departing they removed all debris and "policed" the entire work area. Not even a small scrap of debris remained. During the entire installation process the crew was extremely professional and courteous and the foreman always willing to stop and completely answer any question. Pictures were taken during the entire process and Mark Furr was excellent at keeping me informed as they progressed. I believe I received quality and professional service.

My experience went well with them. They came out started the job but it started to rain so he came back the next day and did a good job.

My experience with Furr Roofing was extremely positive from start to finish. After we first spoke about my concern via phone, Mark told me he would send someone out soon, and he did. Allen investigated both inside and outside the house. Not only was Allen knowledgeable and polite, but he patiently explained that what I was hearing was an outside drip, nothing that indicated water was entering the house. He did not try to invent work to be done, as has unfortunately been the case with other contractors I have consulted in the past. I highly recommend this company (and will to my friends and coworkers) and will use them if I have a roofing issue in the future.

I needed a roof certification for a house I was approved to buy. I called Furr Roofing and within an hour I was meeting with them at the residence. He went up to the roof and quickly diagnosed any potential problem either now or down the road. He gave me an estimate of how much it would cost to repair the problem areas, once I gave him the approval it was completed within about an hour. Very respectful. They had me go up on the roof so I can see first hand. I would highly recommend Furr Roofing, very quick to do the work, professional and the price was reasonable. Thank you guys!Esco

The job took about 5 minutes and cost $175. The roofer was sick and so he was moaning and growning about everything.

I liked that they didn't play games with me and treated me with respect. The job was prompt and completed in a timely manner. The clean up was done well.

All work was completed satisfactorily within 2 days. All the workers were courteous. All debris was cleaned up and removed. We were very satisfied with the work performed.

They were punctual, with in the price range I wanted to spend. They were highly recommended to me by a friend who used them.

They are excellent. I have a large roof and I used them because the owner is a neighbor of mine and I was impressed with some of the other work they have done. They did a very thorough job; the shingles and stuff that the owner recommended really look good; we love it. I will use then them again in the future.

Dispite a heavy work load they came in a couple of days and performed the work. The workers were very polite and professional. They quoted me the best price for the work performed. I have not had any issues with leaks since they came. I am very happy with the work performed.

Well, the company called me back but they were swamped. I told them it was okay that I could wait a couple weeks or so. They ended up never calling back, or if they did, I somehow missed it. I'm sure they would have done a perfectly fine job, and maybe they will still call me. However, I ended up having someone else replace my roof as I needed to seal my deck and could not do so until the roof was fixed. So, perhaps there was a mix-up, perhaps they will still call me back. But in the end, I ended up being out $150 - so I am now just a bit wary about jumping on the Hot Deal offers. Again, not trying to slam these guys, its just I think they must have had so much business that they couldn't keep up with it all. I will say I am now a bit wary about jumping on the Angie's Hot Deal offers, as since I didn't actually send my money to the roofing company, or pay them directly, I just didn't quite know how to handle it. So guess I am just out of luck and $150 bucks. I did have the roof done, but not through these guys. Furr Roofing did call me back and apologized. Sounds like it was one of those cases where I just slipped through the cracks...it happens. They were very professional and I appreciated the call.

We had several roof leaks, the most serious being over the kitchen area, and also around the chimney. I had a number of roofers look at the problems. One company I hired (Springfield roofing), did some repairs that didn't work. Steve from Furr roofing figured out what was causing the kitchen leak, and re-worked the shingles to divert water away from the valley that was leaking. Similarly at the chimney, Steve noticed that the 'cricket' looked funny, and when he pulled it up discovered that it had been built over top of the original, which was wet, rotten and full of bugs. In both cases, Steve found and addressed the heart of the problem. No other roofers had noticed this, and I talked to a number of them. We've owned the house for just a couple of years, but I'm thinking that these areas had been problems for years, if not decades (house built in 1974).

I chose them based upon favorable reviews on Checkbook and Angie's List. It is a small company that has been around a long time and it only runs 1 or 2 roofing crews. Unlike some of the other roofing companies, a full time salesperson/estimator was not sent to my house. Instead, the owner of the company, Mark Furr, came and went up on the roof himself to inspect it and prepare the estimate on a Saturday. I received his estimate promptly thereafter. It was fair and reasonable and the work was performed approximately two weeks later. His crew, many of whom have been with him for many, many years, did a very good job in protecting and covering my deck, front yard, etc. They did an equally good job in cleaning up the property, and my neighbors property, before leaving. They replaced a single sheet of plywood on the roof which obviously needed it because it had a hole in it. [Another roofing company had been in the neighborhood in the past, gave "lowball" estimates and when they got the job proceeded to replace - unnecessarily- numerous sheets of plywood at substantial additional expense] The crew was supervised by Alan, another long time employee. The final product looked very good and was nice to have in place during our recent hurricane rains and winds. I am very pleased with the work of Furr Roofing and was happy to patronize a small, well-established, well-run company. I highly recommend them.

Overall it went well. they had to come back a second time to fix one area of the gutter that was still leaking. they came back and fixed it and all is well.

Absolutely fantastic. They are great to work with, did the work as specified with absolutely no complaints. They were in and out in one day, did a great job on the roofing replacement, cleaned everything up and I've found no waste left behind, no roofing nails in the planting beds, no shingle debris, nothing. The owner is great to work with, very professional and extremely courteous. This was by far the best contractor experience I've ever had.

The experience was excellent from start to finish. I contacted them in June and Mark Furr (owner) returned my initial call promptly and came out within a week to quote the roof. He personally climbed onto the roof, inspected, and took photographs. He reviewed the photographs with me and answered all my questions; I had a written estimate shortly thereafter. It took me quite some time to obtain competitive quotes and I finally contacted them again in August to finalize some details and ask more questions. He provided all the references and insurance forms I requested without hesitation and even added a few items to the proposal. After authorizing the work, he called to schedule the work within two weeks. Mark contacted me again the day before the work was to begin to confirm everything was all set. His team showed up on time and finished the same day as promised. They cleaned up and left little evidence that they were here except the new roof (of course). I appreciated his patience while I obtained competitive quotes and he never pushed to make the sale. Mark just assured me he could do the job, and left me to make the decision.

Very good work, they worked with us and even suggested we have parts of the rotted wood replaced by a painter since we were having the house painted at approximately the same time. This saved us money because a painting company charges less than a roofing company to replace the rotted wood.

They did an excellent job. I got 6 different estimates before I chose Furr. The range of the prices was amazing. I went with Furr because they had great recommendations and the best price. The job was completed in two days, the time frame quoted. They cleaned up well and three years later I am still pleased.
