Overall, the experience was very good, thanks to the professionalism of EZ Small Moves. It could have been really bad, because unfortunately, after talking to Tim, we underestimated the size truck to get. This eventually resulted in us having to rent a trailer to put on the back of the truck. And, even worse, the guys ended up having to stay four more hours than originally predicted. At no point did these men get an attitude or act frustrated with having to stay longer than they had planned, though they could tell we were very stressed. They stayed upbeat, tried to keep our spirits up, and did everything they could to move things along. Tim stayed on top of things throughout the day, and at the end, he recognized that the move hadn't gone as well as we would have liked, and he gave a very significant discount. Even though it wasn't a problem-free move (does that exist?), under the circumstances, Tim handled it very, very well.

For our very short-haul move, we obtained quotes and went with Tim and E-Z Small Moves based on Angie's List reviews and his guarantees that there would be absolutely no hidden fees. I also appreciated that unlike many other in-town movers, he didn't play any games with the pricing and the terms were very straightforward. For a few reasons that had little to do with the movers, our move ended up taking considerably longer than we had expected. We had planned to dispose of a significant amount of furniture that we ended up deciding to bring with us. And it turned out that we couldn't bring large items into our lower level except through the back, which required carrying the items down to the end of the row of townhomes and through a steep grassy area, through the backyard and up the deck. What a headache. AND it turned out that our treadmill had to be partially disassembled before it would fit through the door jamb. Long story short, what I figured would be a four hour job ended up taking more than six. The guys had somewhere else to be after five hours, but Tim called me and promised they would come back after they finished the other job. And they did, even though it was by now about 9pm and the movers surely had other places they would rather be after a very long day. I have no idea what I would've done without them and am really grateful they didn't leave me in the lurch. The price ended up being right around what other companies had quoted me--but as I said before, I was very wary of those other companies upcharging or tacking on fees, and that's not a concern with Tim and his crew. I recommend E-Z Small Moves for helping you haul or move large items, and they are also great for short distance or apartment moves. Of course, if you have more stuff or a larger distance to travel, that's not their forte--hence the company name.

I recently hired this company to help me make a local move. I dealt directly with the owner during planning and he was very professional and thorough. I was even more impressed by his movers. Not only did they arrive early but they were the most professional and friendly movers I have worked with. They were very careful even while they made excellent time.My move took 3 hours but the overall cost was incredibly reasonable. I highly recommend this moving company and I will not hesitate to use them again.

We had a great experience from end to end with Tim and his crew. They showed up right on time and we're prepared with 3 guys (including Tim), hand trucks, furniture pads, and shrink wrap. They immediately jumped into preparing all of the items which consistent of mainly large furniture (e.g. beds, media centers, bookcases, etc) and about 10 boxes of mixed sizes that we packed prior to their arrival. They packed everything up in an efficient manner and it took about an hour and a half to get on the road. After a drive down to the new place, they jumped right out and started moving stuff. They had a little trouble with a few items that were large and had to cut around tight corners or spaces; however, they were proactive in figuring out a way to get the furniture in by removing a handrail or two. As soon as they were done with those items, they promptly re-attached the handrails and continued on with the rest of the move. They were also very conscientious to make sure they weren't tracking mud or any debris into the house as they loaded/unloaded. Tim's crew were also very personable and polite. All said, we had no damage done to any of the furniture or items we packed (some of which was glassware). We are very happy with the move and the great job done by Tim and his team!

Jordan, Justin and Dennis arrived on time and ready to go. They called me in advance to confirm the arrival time. These three young men were courteous, professional, thorough and hard working. They never took a break. They patiently helped my husband reassemble the sleeper sofa once it was downstairs, then wrapped it and loaded it on the truck. They were very careful in handling the furniture and boxes of kitchen items including china, crystal and mirrors. Nothing was broken. There was no damage to anything in the town home which is only about a year old. These young me were pleasant to work with. They did everything I asked them to do, even rearranging items in storage to my own satisfaction. They finished the job by making sure the storage door closed without damaging anything and assisted in locking it up. I will definitely hire them again when it's time to move everything out of storage. I am happy to recommend them to others looking for a simple, local move. Bear in mind, they don't pack anything into boxes, but they will wrap the furniture in blankets and use the plastic wrap as needed or requested. I couldn't be more satisfied with the quality of the move and the price was exceptionally reasonable. I received one other estimate and it was going to be $420.-- - $540.00. I also have to note that their online application process was user friendly and convenient. I asked for email communications and Tim was very responsive by email.

They were great. The main guys responded to my message in the same day and was flexible in terms of scheduling. They scheduled my move after another job they had the same morning. He gave me a 3 hr window and said they'd call me that day to pin point exactly when they'd be there (because it would depend on when they finished the earlier job). He called within the given window and gave me a half hour's notice of when they'd be at the pick up site and then were exactly on time. The move went smoothly and they were careful with the wardrobe. The price was fair - because it was such a small job they waived the 2 hour minimum they usually charge. Because of travel time between pick up and drop off it took a little over an hour.

I contacted EZ Small Moves through Angie's list for a job to move my mom who had recently downsized by selling her house and buying a condo. She had gotten rid of most of her furniture and was buying new furniture, so it wasn't a big move. Tim Jackson, the owner, contacted me promptly with a quote which I found to be very fair. He told me that his movers would show up between 9am-10am the day of the move and he would give me a call 15 minutes out. Everything went smoothly and professionally. Tim and his crew were extremely professional and polite. I would not hesitate to recommend Tim or use him again. The job amounted to a little over 3 hours of work. Finding honest movers for a small move isn't as easy as you think and I really do not recommend finding someone on Craigslist. You may find someone who will quote cheaper, but good luck if they don't show up when they find a more lucrative job.

When moving, you have to ask yourself a couple of questions: - What do I want out of this move? - How much am I willing to spend? - What are my concerns? - Will my items get damaged? EZ Small Moves LCC was EXCELLENT. You should have NO concerns about any of the questions and issues above. I wanted an efficient move, with professional and courteous movers who would not cut corners and treat my items poorly. Quite simply, I got it with EZ Small Moves. I cannot emphasize enough how satisfied I am with EZ Small Moves. The movers were uniformed, pleasant, and courteous. The prices are more than reasonable. Most telling, the movers, Giovanni and Jordan, cut NO corners. Each item was packed and treated as if it were their own. They worked very efficiently. The owner, Tim Jackson, was extremely professional and courteous. He returned calls promptly and had a very professional demeanor. After the move, he even followed up with a call to confirm that the service was satisfactory. There are some people who are in business and just go through the motions. Then there are others who are clearly hungry and striving to earn your business. EZ Small Moves is the latter. You can tell they are eager to provide quality service - this is evident throughout their organization. The movers represent their company well, as does the owner. BOTTOM LINE: In this economy, you want the best bang for the buck. Go with EZ Small Moves. You won't be disappointed.
