Cleaned out birds. Blocked entry paths. Cleaned out bird debree from vents. Repaired bathroom fan. Cleared microwave fan vent of dead birds. Well worth the price!

Pretty good. They set the traps and came every day while I was at work so I didn't need to be home to have them retrieve the squirrels. I appreciated that they put temporary patches on all the openings included in the trapping fee price. I had talked to another company that wanted to charge $1,000 to patch the holes. They ultimately caught almost all the squirrels, however there was still one left that was coming and going through a different opening. When I called them back ( under their 30 day guarantee) they said that they would come back, but they never did. Overall I was happy with the service, but I wonder if they honor their 30 day guarantee.
Description of Work: I had squirrels in my attic. They set traps to remove them over a few week period.

I can't recommend anyone spending the five minutes to get the lackluster service/sluggish timing if you need a prompt response/help with animal removal.
Description of Work: I called to ask for a possum to be removed from a cubby along the side of my house. I think he's sleeping. The operator said that the technician would not available for two more days.

He knows that its definitely not moles. It's confusing because there are different size holes. He mentioned that he thinks it may be cicada holes. He is doing further research. I don't have anything to compare his work to. He told me what he's doing. He talks to me after each session. He says there's no guarantees. I will have to see after this month.
Description of Work: I have a lot of holes in my yard. I didn't know if they were coming from grubs or moles. Critter Control is putting some traps in the holes and tunnels. He is checking if new holes are popping up.

It was very expensive. If there were more raccoons, it would have been an additional $50 per raccoon. I liked their professionalism. They let me know that they were going to do a thorough job in cleaning up the attic, because that was really important to us. Two gentlemen came in to do that. It was a pretty good experience, but it was just too much money. The only thing is that with a service like that, we don't have a whole lot of companies that we can choose from. So far, so good; we haven't had any more raccoons. They did a pretty good job. With regard to quality, they said that they were going to spray some type of chemical and I guess that's what they used to sterilize the attic. They said that we would smell an odor; we never smelt anything, and that kind of bothered me. Their responsiveness was good. I would use them again in the future, only because they have done it before.
Description of Work: We used Critter Control when we had raccoons in our attic. They caught one raccoon that was in the attic. They also did the capping of the roof/fireplace. They sealed all the areas where the raccoons could enter. We also had them clean up in the attic.

Service provide included putting (9) large traps in the kitchen and (5) black trap boxes outside. Service was supposed to include 3 additional visits weekly. On second visit, no rodents were found and entry points into the house were filled / closed. No other rodents were found. Technician was very responsive and educated. The technician skipped a week and then showed up without confirming appointment before the visit so no inspection occurred. Would recommend however be sure to ask for appointment confirmation prior to each visit.

Great- the key was that they actually called me back right away. Hard to find a company to come to remove/identify a bird in the wall. These guys called right away and came the next morning. They took their time with limited drywall damage to find the location of the bird (after telling me it was definitely a bird), determined that it had died in the wall. They removed it and also found the old vent from outside which the bird entered through. They capped the vent and then patched the wall. I liked that they asked to wait until the next day to patch the wall, to make sure there were no other birds/critters in the wall (we would hear them). They came back the next day and patched the two small square holes in the wall. Great experience overall.
Description of Work: Identified animal (bird) in wall, located and determined how best to resolve the issue. Also determined how the bird entered the house/wall and fixed that issue.

The problem was taken care of. I had to call repeatedly to get the last parts of the job done, as I don't think my house was along the path that they travel often. It all worked out, but the communciation was not so fabulous.

They were prompt, highy professional, and the work was done to a very high degree of quality using top of the line materials. The clearly were not the lowest price but I was going for top quality with this job so it was worth the investment.
Description of Work: Crawl space insulation and encapsulation. This basically took my crawl space under an 80 year old house that was prone to rodent infestation and encapsulated it so that it is environmentally like unfinished indoor space. I choose them as I beleived they would primarily approach the job to make the crawl space difficult for rodents to penetrate.

See above. This company is not honest.
Description of Work: They did an initial assessment and set a trap. They said they would trap for 10 days (excluding weekends). They removed the trap after 3 days. They didn't come back or call. When we called the office, they said the technician was sick/out for the week. We asked for our money back. They said no. They never followed up after that. We called again multiple times to no avail. When we called for our money back the last time, they offered $25. This company is unreliable and unprofessional. I have had to pay another company to come out and perform the same services Critter Control failed to perform.

They were reasonably priced. They answered my need and were polite. They did not over charge me. The snakes were not there during the service but they set traps. They also discussed remedies of what to do if the snakes return. They were very responsive. A couple of other people I called stated they would need to make a repair to a hole in my garage before they could do any other work. However, Critter Control did charge me for things I did not want.

Overall it went well. I have no more raccoon and the placed measures to prevent anything from returning. Other than the initial visit, all work was done outdoors while I was at work, so that saved me time and was more convenient.
Description of Work: I had a raccoon in my attic. The fellow who came out was knowledgeable. He identified the raccoon signs quickly, and came up with an effective plan to trap it and keep pests out. It would have been nice to see proof of the raccoon being caught before it was removed, but that is just nit-picking. They placed some kind of barrier over my attic fan to keep pests out in the future, since I can't see on my roof I have no idea what it looks like or the quality of it so a picture would have been nice.

The technician, Jim, is awesome! He explained everything we needed to know about solving the problem, and what we should do in the future. He came every week as scheduled right on time to check the traps. The next step will be to clean the crawl space completely and seal any tunnels the critters might have created. We've also hired them to remediate mold and seal the crawl space so it is clean, dry and well insulated. That work will start in January. As a realtor, I will recommend them to all of my clients. They have been reliable, courteous, trustworthy and worth every penny!
Description of Work: We had mice and a rat in the crawl space of our new home. Another pest control company placed poison bait in boxes throughout the house. This caused a big, stinky problem when the "guests" ended up dying in the crawl space. I won't go into what the previous company didn't do, but rather what Critter Control DID do. They removed all carcasses, crawled into corners of the crawl space I didn't know were humanly possible, checked our insulation for nests, and placed traps both in the crawl space and outside.

It was an efficient process. They removed the squirrels from my attic. The trapped squirrels on my roof and sealed the entrance stopping the squirrels from entering my attic. They did a very good job. My only concern is the price.
Description of Work: They fixed my problem and it cost twice a much as I expected. They told me the price in advance but they did add on a travel charge that I was not aware of. The fee I paid was what we agreed to plus a travel charge. They were clean, efficient and courteous. If money is not your concern, these folks are great at ridding your attic of animals.

The company was responsive. However, the guy who did the work was not as since I had to call the office multiple to get a response and get the job moving. From the time the situation was first assessed to the time the work was actually finished, was almost one month. The price of the RVG was high (but I did ask the guy about it). The price of the animal trapping (had it occurred) was fair. Their tacking of the $100-something inspection charge was not appreciated, since they never came out to trap the wildlife. My overall rating is mixed.
Description of Work: On Jan 12, 2011, they (one guy) came out to inspect and had me sign all sorts of contracts. Only assessment was done. The price was $285 to trap the wildlife (assumed a gray squirrel) and an additional $350 to install the RVG (stainless steel) screen in front of the attic fan as the wildlife destroyed the existing screen. I got subsequent phone calls that they had not been able to come out due to snow. Eventually the wildlife left (~2 weeks later). I called the office to tell them not to trap anymore but to install the RVG screen. The guy called me back. Then he came out finally on Jan 25, 2011, after calling to complain that nothing has been done, the guy came out at 7:15AM (ouch) to put a trash bag over the attic fan. Then we wait a few days to see if the wildlife returns. Then the guy tells me since it he's not trapping the animal that there's a $100-something charge to inspect. That was not discussed initially. So, I had to call the office to dispute. Most places have free inspections. This surprise charge was never discussed. So the office waived this $100-something charge since it wasn't on the initial contract. I had to call again to find out when they are actually going to remove the trash bag over the attic fan and install the RVG. And that's when an appointment was setup on Feb 11, 2011 to finish the work (install). And the guy changed the appointment time again but this time, he made it later rather than earlier. 7:15AM is just way too early but his reason was that I was on route to some business and had to be that early.

No one wants to have snakes in their basement - but Paul from Animal Control did what public animal control would not do, which was permanently remove the snakes from the property. Set traps and continued to check on us for nearly 2 weeks. His first concern was our safety and helped to restore our confidence in our new / old home.
Description of Work: We moved into an older home and when spring time came around we discovered that we had Rat Snakes living inside our unfinished basement. We called Critter Control and they sent out Paul - who I know have on speed dial and was very thorough - removed two snakes, identified where they were coming into the home, set traps, and checked back periodically over the following two weeks until the issue had been resolved. They charge $250 for the assessment and $50 for each non-venimous snake they remove and $100 for venimous snakes. Considering they came out 4-5 times over a two week period the amount spent was well worth it.
