Went well.
Description of Work: Found a snakeskin in the basement and knew we had an occasional mouse. They sealed the possible pest entryways around the house. They were very knowledgeable.

Sam arrived a few minutes early. He inspected the house. This was a complete inspection. He got down on the floor. He looked at everything from many angles. He spoke about rodents as he did the inspection. He inspected all levels of the house including the attic. He crawled around under our porch. He crawled around the perimeter of the house looking for entry points in the foundation and under the edge of the siding. He found a gnawed-away entry point just under the edge of the siding. He went back into the basement to see where it let them into the house. He looked and double-checked until he thought he knew how the rodents were getting into the house and how they moved inside the house. He told us about all the baiting, trapping and exclusion techniques. We had the option to have him do something now or take some time to think about it. I chose baiting and exclusion. Because there was evidence that something bigger than a mouse had been in the house recently I didn't want to trap anything but he did have some huge stick traps. He put down the bait. I chose the plan with two more visits within a months time. On the first return visit he checked all the baiting station for activity and he startled a chipmunk on the outside of the house. The chipmunk ran straight to the hole under the siding. This chipmunk is probably the one who has been leaving the larger droppings in my house. He explained how what he found in the house would be consistent with mice and a chipmunk that couldn't find it's way back out of the house. He told me all about the difference between chipmunks and mice and/or rats. He offered to try and trap the chipmunk and then relocate it. I like having the chipmunk in the yard so I decided against trapping it. Sam is going to return next week to check the baiting stations and see if there are signs of more activity. He will do the exclusion work. I really like this company. They are worth the money. They know the habits of the critters they trap, control or repel. There was no hard sell. The service has been professional, courteous and quite an education. This house was built in 1912 so it's an older house. A previous company had told me that my house was hopeless. Sam said that older houses were wonderful and that he would look everywhere and find out what was going on and let me chose how I wanted the problem tackled. We haven't seen or heard any rodents since his first visit. We postponed sealing the entry points until the third visit so that if any outside nesting rodents were going in and out they would get poisoned before the house was sealed. Sam didn't want them to be alive and so determined to get food that they would look for another weak spot to gnaw on and gain entry. I truly believe that Sam wants to do the best job possible.
Description of Work: The technician did a thorough inspection of the house inside and out. He put down bait. He told me a lot about rodent behavior and discussed all options. He came back two weeks later to check the baiting stations and once again thoroughly checked the premises. He will return next week to perform exclusion work to seal current entry points and places in the foundation that are wearing away and are currently allowing entry to insects and may eventually led to entry for rodents..

They were excellent. It was successful and quickly done. They released the animal away from my home. The pricing was slightly lower than others. They were honest and all around a great company.

I had birds in my vent and I wanted a company that would humanely removed them. This was a repeat occurrence for us and my father had actually already removed most of the debree a week before. Unfortunately we waited a week too long to install a vent guard and the birds returned. That is when I called critter control. They were very responsive and professional and I was happy with their level of service. The only negative I thought the price was a little steep. When the technitian arrived the birds where not actually in the vent so he did not need to remove them. He installed the vent guard and removed a little bit of debree from the actual vent. He was here no more than 20 min. I would have thought the price was adequate if he had actually removed the birds and had cleaned out the amount of debree my father had cleaned out a week before. For what he did in the amount of time he did--I thought the price was steep. I got charged the same price that somebody else would have been charged if they had actually had to remove birds/clean the debree.
Description of Work: Inspected vent for birds and removed left over debree and installed vent guard.

They have good traps that don't harm the animals. They took care of my problem very quickly and efficently. They were able to answer any of my questions. They also explained the process of what they were going to do.
Description of Work: I hired Critter Control to put down a steel cover on my roof to keep animals out of the attic. They also removed five racoons and a fox from my yard.
