The service technician inspected the roof and showed digital photos of damage prior to and following repair. The service took less than two hours.

He explained everything very well, and answered all my questions. He met with me and my State Farm adjuster. He was very thorough.

I called for assistance to fix a leak in the roof affecting the master bedroom. I explained my problem and location of the leak. They responded the next day early in the morning and within hours my roof was repaired. When it rained the following days the leak was gone. Quick efficient and professional.

The sales rep, Mark Mohay, scheduled an appointment and came to our home for an estimate and consultation/presentation. He was extremely knowledgeable and very low-key in his approach. He educated us on the roofing process and materials, quality worksmanship, industry standards, and details of what is required of a company to earn and retain a manufacturer's warranty (in our case, a 50-year warranty). This was important to us as we replaced our roof as a necessary repair prior to putting our house on the market for sale. It was also important to us to select a "turnkey" company that could replace our skylights and make other repairs during the course of re-roofing. We met with five other companies, also highly rated on Angie's List, and received estimates from those companies. Based on the estimates, professionalism, knowledge and customer service, we selected Consumer Construction. They scheduled us quickly as we were working towards a deadline for putting our house on the market for sale. Prior to starting work, we hit a snag. One of the skylights they ordered was a "fixed" skylight instead of an "active" skylight (one that opens and closes). We requested an "active" skylight as that is the type needed for an identical replacement of the existing skylight. Neither Consumer Construction nor my husband and I realized this mistake until the materials were delivered prior to beginning work on the project. We called Mark and he and his staff discovered their clerical error, apologized profusely, and did everything possible to locate the "active" skylight that should have been ordered. Unfortunately, they were not able to locate an "active" skylight in stock prior to the scheduled work. Given our situation (rushing to get our house ready for sale), my husband and I decided it was more important to stick to the work schedule than to wait a week for the "active" skylight, so we settled on a "fixed" skylight and the work proceded as scheduled. We were credited the difference in cost between the two skylights without question or hesitation (the dimensions and materials used for the skylights were identical -- the only difference is that the "fixed" skylight didn't open and close and didn't have a removeable screen). The Consumer Construction customer service team was extremely apologetic and accommodating, and happy that we were able to reach an agreement and stay on schedule. Our project was complicated and required two full days of work. The crew worked very hard from 7:30 a.m. to sundown (around 6:00 pm) taking just one short break each day. During the course of the installation, a satellite dish that was on our roof (no longer in use) was supposed to have been removed, but it was left in place. The crew completed the work, cleaned up beautifully, and left. By the time they were finished with their cleanup, it was dark and we couldn't inspect the work, so we waited until the next morning. As we reviewed their completed work, we noticed that the satellite dish was still in place. Apparently, the instruction to remove the satellite dish did not appear on their (lengthy) work order. We called the company and they apologized profusely and acknowledged their error. They sent a crew to our house within an hour to rectify the situation. They carefully removed the satellite dish and replaced the necessary roof lining and replaced the new shingles that had been installed the day before -- to completely cover the area previously occupied by the satellite dish. Again, they were very apologetic and accommodating. Despite the two problems we experienced (the skylight and the satellite dish), we were very happy with their work and the professional way in which they handled these problems. All things considered, we truly feel they deserve "A"s across the board. Today, two days after installation, we had very heavy rain all afternoon. Both new skylights held up well and there was absolutely no leakage. They were installed and fitted beautifully. We would definitely recommend Consumer Construction, and would use them again in the future.

Very good. After we had a big storm I noted that part of my ridge vent had blown off the roof. I looked up and found Consumer Construction and emailed them to see if they could come out and fix it. They called me first thing the next morning and as we talked about setting up an appt for 2 days later, I noted that there was another big rain storm coming in and was worried about the rain getting in my attic. so, they said they would see if they could get someone to come out today and would call me back. Before they even had a chance to call back (and within about 2 hrs) a truck pulled up and the men got out and straight to work. They took the old piece of ridge vent and left no trash, no signs they were even there. There were no hassles, no problems and I got great customer service.

It was great and the price was reasonable. The guy was very professional. They came in, checked everything out first, then went right to work. They were done within an hour and a half. I was surprised it was finished so quickly.

The estimator arrived on time, listened to what we wanted, took measurements, explained what they would do, showed us samples of the materials and even made some color suggestions that we went with (and are very pleased with). The estimate was neither the lowest nor the highest, but we felt confortable with what we were hearing and were pleased with prior Angie's List recommendations. Because the job was to be done in late December/early January, scheduling was a bit tricky but we were flexible and when they arrived, the arrived in force and we had the new roof on by the end of a single day. Of note, we had added blown-in insulation about 6 months before making the decision to replace the roof. Inspite of a strong breeze on the day of the replacement, virtually no insulation was lost. Clean-up was thorough and we haven't found a single nail in the yard or on hardscape. We are very pleased!

Their service was very good. They only had one error; they did not bring enough trim molding. One piece was not the right color, but when brought to their attention they changed it without problem. The error was fully remedied. They did a really good job.

I called Consumer Construction after two other, closer companies didn't return my call and could not provide service for at least two weeks. Consumer Construction picked up immediately, scheduled an appointment at my earliest opportunity. The roofing specialist (sorry I forgot your name) arrived on time, fully prepared. I took him, wearing protective covers on his shoes, to my attic to see the leak, and he immediately got a ladder and climbed to the spot at the peak of my roof. He removed several feet of ridge vent until he found the rusted shingle nail under the edge of the ridge vent and shingles, removed it, sealed the hole, added a new one, and put everything back in place resealed. He then inspected and recaulked the other points on the roof most likely to leak in the future. He did a very professional job. A week or so later, during the next rainstorm, I checked the attic where the leak had been, and was surprised to find a smaller drip in the same place. Next day I called Consumer Construction, and he came out almost immediately, repeating the above process. This time he removed the shingles surrounding the area in addition to the ridge vent. Turns out there was another hole caused by another rusted shingle nail under the center of 2nd shingle down from where the first one was (far from where it should have been). He quickly fixed this nail and hole the same way, and resealed everything. So no more leaks! Now you might expect a complaint here since this required two visits, but my view is that he did exactly what needed to be done each time, and again was very professional. I would call them again and recommend them.

Reasonable prices. Roofing material/price was miscalculated, however, they absorbed the difference.

Chose Consumer Construction after interviewing three roofing companies for the job. Initial contact with office was pleasant and professional. Stephanie was most helpful in scheduling the estimator, and subsequently with responding to my questions as the job progressed. The estimator was prompt and professional but perhaps not quite up to speed on some roofing features (e.g. edge vents) as he should have been, but he made every effort to research the information for my benefit. He was very helpful in explaining all the details of the job. There was some minor internal miscommunication regarding the scheduling of the job, but once set, he roofing team arrived as scheduled and completed the job within one day. The yard was cleared of all trash and debris; team was very conscientious in this regard. A small dent in my vinyl siding due to a ladder was quickly fixed once I notified Consumer Construction of the problem. There is one outstanding issue with the shingles along the outside edge of the roof that we both agreed we would watch and readdress in the Spring if it has not corrected itself by then. Overall I am pleased with the outcome and the responsiveness of everyone I've spoken with in the company. They are customer oriented and easy to work with.

I found them on Angie's List and will use them again in the future.

Mark Mohay worked with us over two home visits to select the doors and discuss what needed to be done for the framework and threshold. The installation of the front entry door had some glitches because of the uneveness in the doorway. These were resolved that day. However, the storm door installation did not go as expected and a new one had to be ordered to replace the defective one. We are happy with the final result. Time will tell whether the ProVia doors hold up to their reputation but the installation is quality work. We were particularly satisfied with the way Mark Mohay guided us through the selection process, how he communicated clearly what was being done each step of the process, and did quality control until the work was completed to our satisfaction. It was great working with someone who knew the work well enough to provide oversight to the project and was not just a sales rep.

It took them a little while to come, but I understood that they were very busy. I received a discount for being a member with Angie’s List. I was little concerned initially because they inspected my entire roof, but missed one of two leaks. When I brought this to their attention, they were responsive. Patrick agreed that they should have caught the second leak during their inspection, and a crew come back free of charge. I give him kudos for being honest and professional.

Great experience. The roofers arrived early on the morning of replacement, but had to wait an hour before they could begin because of frost on the roof. In addition to replacing the roof, they replaced the roof vents as well with rubber pipes, reflashed around the chimney, and secured the gutters. All the roofing work was completed by the team in one day. Another team came by a few days later to replace a previously damaged downspout and affixed a clasp to another downspout.. Mark was incredible. During an earlier visit, he went around with us to identify anything that should be removed from the walls to preclude falling. On the day before work began, he actually went around the house with us again, helping us to remove larger items. After work was completed, he returned again and helped us to rehang those larger pieces. Also, cleanup by the roofing team was excellent. Mark, also, verified cleanup.

I got quotes from three different providers and picked these guys. They did what they promised to do and I am very satisfied.

The workman was very professional, competent, and efficient. We didn't get a call ahead of time before they came out as was supposed to happen, but we didn't care as they made it A DAY EARLIER and just in time before much more rain came. Wished they did interior work as well!

All things considered, I feel they did an excellent job. I would recommend them anytime.

I called the company on Monday and repairs were finished on Thursday. Company was very responsive and their customer service is excellant. I will not hesitate to call them again if needed.

They did a great job and seemed thorough. The only thing I didn’t like was that, when they were not doing anything they were just relaxing in the lawn, which didn’t seem professional. There was one person, back in the office, who was very good. I may not use them in future, if I do so I’ll keep in mind my experience.

The work done is excellent. All their interactions have been professional, courteous, and on time. They have shown up when they were supposed to. If there was an order signed or had any problems, i got emails and calls to let me know what the progress was. Anytime I called or emailed, they have immediately responded. They have been very proactive. I would recommend them to everybody. They have been excellent in all the way. I didn’t have any problem from the estimate until the project. I have never worked with such nice people like them. I would use them in a heartbeat.
