I called to schedule an appointment to repair a roof leak. The appointment was set for the following Thursday and I was told that someone would contact me the day prior to the appointment in order to provide a window of time for the appointment. I did not receive a call to set an appointment time so I called the office on the day of the appointment to ask if we were still on schedule. I was told that they had to push my appointment back a day and that is why they did not call the previous day. I decided to cancel the appointment and go with a different provider, given that they can't bother to call and let me know that the day of a scheduled appointment was changed. I understand that things come up but a quick phone call noting the change is a reasonable expectation.

The work crew showed up a little late due to finishing a few items from their previous job. Not a problem. When they arrived went right to work and completed by the end of the 2nd day. They did an excellent job and our house now looks so much better. Thanks to the Consumer Construction company we now have a home that is better insulated and has excellent curb appeal.

Changed 5 shingles, replaced 1 pip collar, re-sealed ridgevent. Great service, good quality, easy to deal with.

They did a really good job and they cleaned up behind themselves - both as they did the job and at the end. They've been very good about doing a quality job. They gave us a 50 year warranty. They were very knowledgeable with the newest technologies for their field.They went beyond what they had to do. The owner was cheerful, patient, and explained everything to us. We appreciated that he was retired military and hired ex-military vets & trains them.

I met with Consumer Construction's consultant Mark Mitchell at our house on September 25, 2013. Mark is a very friendly, down to earth kind of a guy with a lot of knowledge about roofing. I don't remember exactly how much time he spent at the house looking at things but it was much more than guys from other companies. He crawled up into the attic and looked at the roof from the bottom too. Nobody else from another company did that. After much discussion I decided to go with Consumer Construction to replace my roof and gutters. Roofing color was not that important to me, but their are lots of color choices in a catalog that Mark provided. I chose CertainTeed's Landmark Pro Heather Blend shingles. When the roofing arrived the color was much lighter and browner than what it appeared to me in the catalog. Fortunately, I think it looks great on our house, probably better than what I thought I was getting. It is not all one color. It has several shades of browns and grays. It looks nice. But, if you are real particular on color, I would recommend you see samples of the shingles before finalizing your choice. The roofing I chose is not the cheapest, but it is not the most expensive either. It comes with a lifetime transferable warranty against manufacturing defects and a 50-year transferable warranty on the installation. Even though it was a little more expensive than other estimates, I felt better about hiring a company with a dedicated staff, one that has been doing this work for several years, rather than an individual with a less stable staff, even if they do a great job. I am more confident I will be able to get in touch with someone if I have a problem. The job included new flashing around the chimney, vent pipe collars, aluminum drip edges, and ridge vent. For the gutters I chose to go with 6-inch seamless gutters to replace our old 4-inch gutters that were coming off the house in places and easily clogged. I am sure they will perform much better the next time we get an 8-inch rain from a tropical storm. They have a lifetime guarantee. I also chose to have the Rainflow Gutter Protection installed in the gutters. It is a material placed in the gutters to prevent leaves, pine needles, twigs and other debris from collecting in and clogging the gutters. It is made of natural fibers coated with a UV stable premium latex. I am curious to see how it holds up. It has a 10-year guarantee. For installation I was referred to Luke Mitchell, Consumer Construction's Production Manager. He set up a time for the delivery of the roofing material and the schedule of the workers. The original dates were delayed almost a week because of several days of heavy rain. On October 18, a Friday, the roofing was delivered by the supplier and placed on the roof. The following Monday, at about 8:30 AM the Consumer Construction crew showed up and went to work on a beautiful Autumn day. They set up tarps all around the house to catch debris from the roof removal. By 5 PM they were finished with installing the new roof. I thought that was great to get it done in one day, with very little inconvenience to me. The crew was fantastic. They worked hard all day, they were friendly and polite, and they did a great job of cleaning up. A few days later, another crew came and removed the old gutters and installed the new gutters. That took them about four or five hours. They also did a good job. And finally, another crew came a couple of days later and installed the Rainflow material in the gutters. I was very pleased with the whole process.

They were very responsive and they had a fixed priced to come and do minor repairs. They were able to fit us in quickly to do the repairs. They were very professional.

I met with the owner Mark to learn about exactly what we needed and what he recommended. He was very helpful in giving me insight on the bare minimum that could be done to solve our problems as well as what would give us the best result. My two young children were around and he was very patient with them and spoke with them too. From that point, I spoke with Mark and another team member several times a week about scheduling the work as well as them checking in on quality and their team completing the work. Everyone that we came into contact with from Consumer Construction was incredibly professional and seemed to enjoy their work. All aspects of the work done look amazing and we couldn't be happier with out new roof!

They are fantastic and we are really happy with them. They did a super job and they did everything they promised. I would definitely recommend them for a roof job. They had a really good team and they worked really well together and were very efficient. Their price was very good and they use high quality materials. We are very satisfied.

We included Consumer Construction as a bidder for our roof replacement based on Angie's list reviews and we were not disappointed. Consumer construction performed to expectations. Their price was competitive. Mark Mohay explained work and proposal to my spouse and then came back to discuss with me. The crew was professional and the work and cleanup was very good.

I called to request for repair estimate around 4:40 PM on October 23, 2013 and receptionist told me to call back because she was ready to go home. It seemed like she was angry with the customer when talking on the phone.

I was very impressed overall by Consumer Construction. Mark Mohay came to my house back in the spring and spent a considerable amount of time going over the project explaining all my options and answering questions. He gave me the impression that he was very knowledge and came across as very trustworthy. To me, that's the most important thing - TRUST. He told me to get other quotes before I made a decision. Actually, I didn't need to. I decided, once I was ready to proceed with the project, to hire Consumer Construction. Their price seemed very fair and I was impressed by the professionalism of the office staff (Crystal). They replaced my roof in October and were good about calling me to let me know they would have to reschedule because of the rain. After the project was completed, they called me to check that everything went OK (not that I can comment about the roof as I don't plan on going up there!). They cleaned up nicely after the project and I was very happy with the whole process. I would definitely hire them again for other projects.

Excellent overall performance from initial contact and estimate through installation. Installers were on time, professional, and did an outstanding job. Reasonable price and great follow up.

We chose Consumer Construction over other proposals for this project because we were impressed with the estimator's knowledge regarding our construction issues and with his ability to come up with good solutions and provide all of the details in a proposal that was easy to understand. He was also great in helping us select the materials for the roof, siding and trim. The roofing crew showed up 10 minutes before their scheduled start time and worked a full 12 hour day to complete the roofing in a day, which included building an overhang on part of the house and replacing some of the boards on the roof. The siding work started on time on a Friday, but could not be completed in a day. The siding crew must have been scheduled to start another job on Monday so the job was not completed until Tuesday; but they did an excellent job. Overall, we were very pleased with the process, the crews, and the outcome! The foremen and crews for each job were excellent: knowledgeable, skilled, responsive, and respectful.

They arrived right on time at 7:30 am. Thoroughly explained what they were going to do and then got right to work. They removed the old door, frame and sidelites. Cleaned up and repaired where necessary including chipping away a concrete lip on the back of the front step. They then installed a beautiful ProVia Signet Cherry Fiberglass Energy Star certified door with sidelites. They were very professional and explained what they were doing as they proceeded. They took their time and did the job right. They finished about 4:30 and when they were done the door looked like a work of art. Their price wasn't the lowest, but they were worth every bit of it. I'll use them again if I have any future projects that they do.

Mark Mohay was extremely helpful and always available for any questions i had about all of the services. Receptionist crystal was also very helpful.

Great experience. I made the initial appointment for a small leak in my roof and to have a broken attic fan replaced. They said it would be about 2 weeks before they could get out to me to fix it, which was quite a ways out for a roof leak but it was acceptable for me at the time. The next day I got a call back and they could fit me in 2 days later, which was much better of course. The job required 2 people at 2 different times. The roofer to fix the leak and install the fan and an electrician to do the wiring for the fan. The roofer was about 15 minutes early and quickly found the leak, fixed it, and installed the fan. The electrician showed up a couple minutes early and also finished wiring up the fan quickly. Both workers were extremely polite and efficient.

The estimator arranged to inspect the job within a couple of days of our call and he spent a lot of time explaining what was needed and providing samples of shingles to choose from. The estimator was very thorough and knowledgeable. Although their's was not the least expensive of the quotes we got, we chose Consumer Construction because of their experience and knowledge of what would be required. We are very happy with our new roof. The company called and scheduled a date for the roof shingles to be delivered put onto the roof. The delivery was made on time and completed on a Friday. The crew began work promptly at 7 am the following Monday and had to break because of rain at about midday. About two hours later, after the storm had passed, the crew returned and completed most of the work, working until 6:30 pm. The crew chief introduced himself to me and went over the costs for the additional plywood that would be needed and told us we needed to replace the attic fan. Shortly after that, Mark called and explained the fan pricing and arranged for a licensed electrician to hook up the fan. Our only cost was for the fan and the company paid for the installation. The next morning, the roofing crew returned and finished the work. They cleaned up the yard very well. We would hire this contractor again without reservation. Superior performance in all categories.

I was given a time window for them to arrive. They were running late because their prior job took longer than expected I suppose. I called the office to see if they were coming and they arrived 15 min. later. Two men climbed on top of the high roof to fix various items for a fixed standard price. I like this business model because they don't itemize the costs but have a standard package of common repairs that are included. The replaced a few times, nailed down some other things and I don't remember the technical details. I had a leak in the 2nd floor ceiling and although I haven't patched up and painted the damage yet, I see that it hasn't gotten worse after a few major rainfaills.

It went very well and on schedule. I would recommend the company. I believe I paid too much. In the process of discussing the work and cost, I forgot to submit a $250 coupon, and within two weeks of having the roof replaced, Angie's list offerred a roofing job in the $6,000 range.

I signed the contract in late April with the promise of job being complete by Memorial Day weekend, end of May. Project was late getting started and was almost finished by Memorial weekend, at least finished enough to enjoy the space and have people over. I cannot say enough about the lead carpenter, Patrick. His attention to detail was wonderful. He was basically the only person on the job for most of the time and he did a great job. The job was completely fininshed early June, paid them and all was good, until July 4th weekend. They had added a ceiling where a screened ceiling had been. There are pvc pipes coming out of the attic where the new ceiling was going. The salesman, Mark Mohay, went to the attic to see what they were attached to and decided they were abandoned. They installed the ceiling. Over the extremely hot July 4th weekend, I notices water coming out of my new ceiling and puddles on the floor. I was perplexed, since there had been no rain. I went to the attic and found my air conditioning unit covered in condensation and the emergency drain pan full of water. At the corner of the emergency drain pan was a pvc pipe coming out and running in the direction of the breezeway. I called a HVAC tech, to ask what to do and he instructed me on how to deal with the unit so it would work properly and would not condensate. There was a problem with the unit and we fixed the problem. Unfortunately, there is slight damage to my new ceiling. I called Consumer Constructuction, wanting them to redirect the emergency drain line, so that the ceiling would not suffer further damage in case of another leak from the drain pan. I had looked at the area and told them it would take a couple of pvc 90 degree ells, and 2 short sections of pipe to fix the problem, but for easier access, they would have to remove a section of ceiling to complete repair. I had received a call from Patrick, the lead carpenter and he was going to be over on a afternoon to take care of the problem. Before I arrived home that day, Mark Mitchell, the owner of the company called and wanted to look at the issue. He was there before I got home and called me with his opinion. He told me that the pipes could not have caused the leak, because they had dirt and cobb webs in them and he thought it was my roof. The leak occured on a weekend when we had absolutely no rain. Was not the roof. It was the emergency drain pan that sits under my air conditioning unit in the attic. I told Mr Mitchell that I had never seen water come from the pipes since I had owned the house. I have had no issues with my air conditioning unit in the past. Mr Mitchell said basically since the problem had only occured once in 10 years that I should live with the pipes draining on my ceiling once every 10 years. I was SHOCKED that the owner of a company would think, much less say that to a customer that had requested a very small solution to a problem that will eventually rot the ceiling. I must say that I cannot recommend this business because of the attitude and lack of customer satisfaction that I was offered by the owner of the company. After hearing their presentation and signing the contract in April, I recommended them to my Mother to have a new roof and some other work done, she also contracted with them and spent a little over $16,000.00. I am still amazed that they would not make the simple repair to keep a customer.

Mark spent 3 hours with my wife and I, explaining the issues with our old roof and walking us through the entire roof replacement process - from materials, to installation, to his crew's work procedures, project management and warranty details. At our request, Mark provided us with a range of options and his prices were extremely competitive. I highly recommend Consumer Construction, Inc. for your roofing needs. You will not be disappointed.

Company provided as estimate and described what would take place. Workers came out performed service/repairs which were covered in the estimate provided. Work has 1-year warranty. Estimate/Repairs were significantly less costly than other companies I contacted. Would highly recommend this company.

It as great. They were out right away. They sent before and after pictures with the invoice, which I really appreciated. Their staff was friendly every step of the way. If needed, I will use them again.
