CHIC (Custom Home Interior Creations)

I decided I would move, after living in my home for 45 years. I knew I had to do things to make it marketable to the widest group of potential buyers. Sherry Tyra from Custom Home Interior Creations (C.H.I.C.) was recommended to me. She was the Assistant Designer on the TV show Design to Sell that I'd often watched. She drew up a plan that gave me recommendations on what to keep, what to eliminate and what to purchase. That way I could slowly make changes and wasn't rushed to make last minute hurried decisions (I contacted her about a year before I was ready to sell). In addition to giving me a detailed plan she let me know she could help with decisions along the way. Her plan included suggestions for paint color for rooms to be repainted, furniture to keep and furniture to go, artwork and accessories, furniture arrangement, etc. Where possible she suggested ways to re-use my items. All her fees were reasonable and set out ahead of time. Sherry and I went to stores to select flooring and counter top choices that would blend with my existing hardwood and kitchen cabinets. I checked back with her periodically for advice on paint colors and drapery hardware. I was planning on downsizing so I even had her rent furniture for one key room that I didn't want to buy replacement items for. At the end, she even helped me hang some of the artwork and arrange furniture and accessories. She certainly refreshed my home and helped draw people to it so I could make a quick sale. Her expertise was invaluable. I would recommend her to anyone wanting to refresh a home or stage it for sale.
