Description of Work: I purchased the big deal for Chimney Sweep & Chimney Cap.

Description of Work: I bought this deal on June 7. That following Monday I contacted them by phone only to get their answering machine. I waited a couple of days that week and heard nothing back from them. So I proceeded to email them in which they replied saying something was wrong with their phones and that they would get back to me. Again, no further contact. I emailed them again and they replied with a date to come out on June 19 between 9 and 1. I did not get a courtesy reminder call the day before and had to contact them by email asking if we were still good for this date. No reply. They did show up about 10 am on the 19th in an unmarked van with a big giant ladder on the top of their car and a man and woman who looked like they had just come from the corner of a 7/11. The man had dreadlocks a t-shirt, shorts and sneakers. Not something I was expecting from a so-called professional company. They proceeded to check out a vent on the side of our house that was not our dryer vent but the vent to the bathroom on the inside. My laundry room is located on the second floor of my house and I was not aware until I called my neighbor that our vent is located on top of the roof. Once these two learned this, they sort of stood there not really knowing what to do next and told us that they would contact someone in their company who is a master mason I guess and see if they could get him out there that day and asked us if they couldn't get him out today what days would be good? I told them any day would be good. She said she would call me which never happened later that day. I contacted them by email the next day to find out what the status was since I hadn't heard from them? They emailed me today (two days later) to tell me that if we wanted the work to be done it would be an extra $65 being our vent is on the roof. No where in this deal I purchased did it mention there MAY be an extra cost which I mentioned to them via email. I also had mentioned that our neighbor had a company come out and do their vent and they did all their work from the inside. This company replied with that they never do their work from the inside with something like this and being that it hasn't been done in four years it will be quite a mess and to be advised. I do NOT recommend this company to anyone that's looking to get a dryer vent cleaning. This company is beyond unprofessional in my opinion. They do not know a thing about customer service or how to make a customer happy. I give this company an F plus plus plus!!! I am beyond disappointed with the lack of attention they provided regarding the service we wanted done. I do not wish to be contacted by these people again and I highly recommend Angie's list users stay far away from this company. If I had known that there would be an extra cost because our vent is on top of our roof, I would have never contacted them. Perhaps they should have a list of questions to ask potential customers before going out and wasting both parties' time.

Description of Work: I had our chimney swept. I do feel that the company performed the service in a fast and efficient way. I would use this company again in the future therefore, I would recommend them to others.

Description of Work: Teon Dixon was my technician, he was very informative and professional. He called me 30 minutes prior to arrival to let me know he was on his way. I would recommend Certified Chimney & Masonry Services, Inc. to anyone who needs a chimney sweep company.
