Slight scheduling snafu on pickup but proactive warning of a delay. Very rapid turn around at very reasonable price. You wind up feeling like they only fix what was needed and were not trying to sell you more services. Small business you can trust. Nice to find

I've been to a few other local places over the past couple of years and was not satisfied with the service so I was looking for a new lawnmower service and repair shop. I found Caliber here on Angie's list and emailed them for information. I got a quick response. I brought my lawnmower in the next day and the problem was diagnosed properly and the work was done quickly and at a fair price. I am super happy with this company and highly recommend!

We dropped off the equipment and we were immediately impressed when after a quick look at the gasoline chainsaw it was pointed out that the chain had been installed improperly. We left both chainsaws and were told that repairs were typically running a week. We were pleasantly surprised when just a couple of days later we received a telephone call that they had rebuilt the gasoline chainsaw carburetor. Unfortunately, the electric chainsaw had a burned out motor and the parts were no longer available. We picked up the repaired chainsaw a couple of days later and left the electric one for recycling. We asked if the chain had been installed properly, but it was not, so at no extra cost the technician immediately made the repair while we waited. In addition, we were given a thorough description of the proper fuel to use and where to get it so that we would not experience similar issues in the future. The entire process took less than a week. We were impressed with the service and would highly recommend Caliber Lawn and Garden.

It was great. It was always really good. They're very attentive to what they are doing. They don't try to sell you stuff you don't need. They are basically honest. The prices are good. Without a doubt, I would use them again.

My first experience with Caliber...I scheduled routine maintenance on my riding lawnmower during their busiest time of the season. I was happy to be able to continue using it while being on the wait list with a 5.5 week backlog. After being on the list for 5 weeks, I checked back and inquired when I could bring in the mower of which I had just hit a root and made it inoperable. Though they were working through the backlog, they accommodated my mower because it no longer worked. I appreciate the human aspect they offer in accommodating someone whose mower broke vs. seasonal tuneup. They got me out of a bind in about a week's time. I have since returned for additional service when running over another root. There was no backlog that time and my mower was back in action 6 days later. It's a really good crew and I plan to continue bringing my equipment to them for many years to come.

Needed blades sharpened and two drive belts replaced. Fast professional service all at a good price.

I called Caliber in desperate need of a quick fix for my portable generator as it was needed at Lake Anna to power a boat hoist. Dropped it off in the morning and was able to pick it up that afternoon. Generator starts right up and runs great. Also, everyone there was very pleasant to deal with and seemed sincere in their efforts to help.

Overall very good service at a reasonable price. Knew that spring would be a busy time so called in early March for scheduling. Very prompt and inexpensive pick up. It took longer than the initial two week estimate because the late season snows caused a surge in snowblower/generator repairs that they had to do. Slightly frustrating as the time estimates kept extending, but part of this is trying to plan ahead for a very seasonal service. When the equipment got back, both pieces absolutely looked like new and ran better than new. If you have a bit of patience and plan ahead for unanticipated delays, they provide excellent service at a good price. Folks on the phone always returned calls and were always extremely nice. Definitely worth the extra time.

The previous owners of our new house left us an old push mower. It was caked in oil and dirt, and it didn't run smoothly the first year we used it. Before our second season of use, we took it to Caliber for a tune up. Wow. The mower looks and acts brand new.

It went well. Good price, and did a great job. Answered all the questions I had regarding their work.

Mower pick/up and drop off exactly as promised. Mower returned looking so good that I thought they brought a new machine. Mower works great!

(This review should give you a "real" picture about this service company) I dropped off my old lawn mower for a tune-up after it sat un-used for a long winter. The big guy (owner?) at the counter asked me if I had ever changed the oil. I told him no. He roll his eyes like if I was a terrible lawn mower owner :-0. I told him that I had been adding oil when it was low, though. And it had run fine for the last few years. Anyway, he told me that it would take 10 or 11 days and gave me the price ($80) and a claim check. They would call when it was ready. I waited 12 days and since they did not call, I called them. The young lady on the phone took my number and said she would call back with a status. She called back a short while later and said it would be either ready today or the next day. My lawn mower was not ready that day or the next day, but instead I had to call again 2 days later on Friday to ask again about the status. Late Friday, the guy at the front desk called to tell me that the engine was shot and that for $20 more they could replace it with a almost new one. They could have it ready the next day. I thought this was a good deal since my machine was several years old. The next day, still no return phone call back. I decided to call them just 45 minutes before they closed on Saturday. The young lady told me that it was ready for pick up and said something else about credit cards which I could not understand over my cell phone and the backround noise on the phone. I came just 15 minutes before they closed, handed the girl my credit card. She said, 'Oh, we don't accept credit. Only cash.' The front counter guy asked her '...didn't you tell him that'. 'Yes, I did' she replied. Okay, so I had to quickly head over to a convenience store to pull out $100. When I paid I asked the young lady if there is any kind of warranty. 'No, no warranty.' So I asked 'what happens if I go home today to my super tall grass and the thing won't start?. Can I bring it back on Monday when you re-open? She replied: 'Oh, it is going to work'. My Lessons Learned here: If you go to a place like this 1) ask do they accept credit cards and which ones, 2) have a backup plan so that your neighbors don't give you the dirty look when they see your overgrown grass 3) don't wait until spring to get the machine serviced, and 4) don't tell the big guy at the front counter that you didn't change your oil ;-) Good luck!!

Very well. Reasonably priced and reliable.

Trimmer would barely start and then need throttle to stay on. I took it into these guys for repair. They estimated the repair time to be 8-11 days. It turned out to be more like 14, but it's the start of the season so I know they're backed up. Everyone I spoke with in the shop was very professional and polite. That was the biggest sell for me. I'll use this shop again.

We have used Steve's Mowing for years. I cannot say enough good things about them. They always respond, they always show up and they ALWAYS do a great job. We have used them for lawn mowing, leaf removal and yard fertilization. They clean up after the work is completed, the yard just looks amazing. I would highly recommend them to anyone, you won't be disappointed.

The called when work was finished, which was earlier than they had estimated. They provided a 10% senior discount. They were most friendly and professional.

Dropped it off, was given an estimate of between $80-100 for the work I described. I expected it to be ready in about 2 weeks, which it was. The only reason I gave it an "n/a" for quality is that we have not had any snow for me to test it. I have no reason to believe that there will be any problems. the blower was winterized so that if I don't use it, it should be fine next year. They also gave me a senior discount of 10%.

I can't say enough good things about Larry and the guys at Caliber. They are extremely knowledgeable about mowers, trimmers, snow blowers and all sorts of small engine power landscaping equipment. It shows in how quickly and accurately they figure out any problems with my equipment and then proceed to fix it properly and at a very fair price. I started using their services about two years ago and now would not go anywhere else for the full service repairs that they provide. They are the most honest and reliable shop providing top rate quality service that I have had the pleasure to use, all at a very reasonable price. Once I was in a time crunch to get some clients lawns cut and my mower broke down. Caliber came through with a QUICK turnaround so that I got my lawns cut on time resulting in Happy customers for my business. Caliber goes the extra mile to fully satisfy their customers.

eWe brought in a Toro lawn mower for repair and blade sharpening on the advice of a neighbor. They fixed it in a reasonable amount of time considering the spring crush and were reasonably priced. We've had a positively horrible experience with another lawn mower supplier/repair place in the vicinity so their integrity was a nice change. We'll be going back.
