Description of Work: Because of the upcoming sale of my house I needed repairs for my roof, chimney, siding, and concrete stoop. I was very glad to find All American because they were able to handle all of these problems and I didn't have to hire multiple companies for each project. Chad came out and I showed him all of the items that needed repair. One day later he provided me with a very detailed itemized proposal. Chad's estimate was less than another company who provided me with a bid. All American came out the next week and all of the work was completed in two days. The crew that came out were very capable, professional and considerate of our property. This a a professional business that I can recommend without reservation.

Description of Work: We had a bay window that was made up of single pane inefficient glass panes. We wanted to replace it with an energy efficient model that we had acquired and was stored in our garage. | |It was a slightly complicated job as the new window was not as tall as the old one therefore a small wall would have to be constructed on the bottom to make up the difference. | |Everyone we called would not touch the job because we would not buy the window from them. I had used All American in the past and sent them an email explaining what we needed and received a phone call in less than an hour to set up an appointment for an estimate. I reiterated that we had the window and just needed it installed. The person I spoke with said that it would not be a problem. | |On the agreed upon date, a young man arrived, took measurements and we discussed possible methods to deal with the offset between the old and new windows. I should point out that it took a couple of phone calls to get the estimate which turned out to be reasonable. | |On the day of the job three men arrived one of them being the owner of All American. The first thing they did was put up a floor to ceiling heavy mil plastic wall around the interior work area to minimize dust getting into the rest of the house. | |In short order they had the old window removed and framed a small wall on which the new shorter window would sit. By the end of the first day, the new window was installed, drywall put up and mudded and the outside wall was in place. As the job progressed the crew would frequently clean up any debris and shop vac the area. | |On the second day the two workmen that returned sanded the drywall mud and primed the wall for paint. There was some trouble matching the wall paint since the supplier no longer offers the color. They took a sample from the wall to the paint store in an attempted to match the color. Even with the color matching there was still a noticeable difference between the new paint and the existing. This is not surprising as the original paint is a couple of years old. Because of this, the workman painted the entire wall from corner to corner. This made any variation on color unnoticeable. | |The outside wall was covered with weather resistant plywood similar to that used for fascias. A ledge was built on the bottom of the window with a slight pitch to insure water drained away from window and decorative molding framing a shadow box in the middle. This was painted in exterior paint. | |Before leaving they insured that the window as well as the whole work area inside and out was spotless. I am very pleased with the way the job turned out and now have a high efficiency window that has contributed greatly to the energy efficiency of my home.

+ -1 moreThe office staff was very professional and responsive to our needs. They were the second company we called and came out a few days later for an estimate and did the work the very next day! I was supposed to be called as to when the work was to be scheduled, but I guess someone forgot or I missed the call but it all worked out ok. I got a call the next day telling me I was the next on their list and fortunatley I was home and ready for them. The job was done by a 3 member crew who were all very friendly and professional. They had to rip the gutter off, replace the fascia board, paint it (I provided the paint), and replace the gutter on our 3 level townhouse. They also reinforced the gutter and added a drip edge that will help prevent future damage of a similar nature from occuring. The job was done in about an hour and it looked great! They left my flower bed and yard clean and undisturbed as well.

+ 0 moreI called several times and they wouldn?t return my call. Finally, when I got hold of somebody, they said they will send somebody out right away. Next day or so somebody calls and asked me how it went. I told them that no one came to my house. They said they had someone clean my gutters yesterday. She said that she will check with them and find out what was going on. She called me back and she said that she will send them out again. Then the guy showed up and he said that they had made a mistake and that they had cleaned the gutters a block over instead of my house. They finally did it. The guy was really very nice and got them all cleaned. He tightened a couple of loose nails. I was very happy with it and had no complaints with the quality of the work. I even called them to thank them and told them about the work.

+ -1 moreI contracted them for replacement of missing slates from roof. Chad arrived as scheduled within a day or two of my call and looked over the property thoroughly. He pointed out some damaged gutters but when I told him I would repair those myself he did not pressure me to let them do it. I asked about copper gutters and he was very knowledgeable about costs and frankly discussed pros and cons with me not trying to sell me anything. He ended up recommended a package for about $585 dollars for up to six slate shingles. Additional shingles would be $75 each. This included all materials and labor. I was not notified when the crew was going to arrive. They called me and left a message on my cell phone about an hour before they arrived. I first knew they were here when I heard pounding on the roof. I told Chad I wanted to be here when they did the work and he told me I would get a call setting up an appointment in a few days, which I never did. I would have been upset if I had not been here and returned to find the work done. As it was it worked out fine. I asked them to check some nail holes in some shingles to make sure they did not need to be replaced and they sealed the holes with roofing tar at no additional cost. The workers were friendly, willing to put up with my questions about the process and what they were doing.
Description of Work: Replacement of mising shingles on 60 year old slate roof.

+ 0 moreAll American inspected our roof after rain from Hurricane Hannah had ruined two ceilings in our home. They identified a hole in the roof which caused the majority of the damage and made immediate repairs to keep the damage from getting worse. They also noticed hail damage from a previous storm and gave us a bid to take care of that as well. Then they patiently waited until we could file and close two insurance claims for storm damage. When we were ready, they came out immediately and finished fixing the roof and caulking around bay windows and transom windows.

Chad came out for the estimate and explained the problem of why it happened and what was the best way to fix it. The work was completed as promised. The workers cleaned up after themselves (and even cleaned the leaves off of the deck that we had forgotten about!). Cynthia in the office was excellent with communication on the status of the project. Kudos to everyone.
Description of Work: Removed and replaced a full length of gutter and fascia board on back of house plus one down spout, caulked and painted boards, installed drip edge, and installed gutter screens.

The company was flexible with scheduling the job since we had to wait several weeks for approval from our Home Owners Association and the office manager was very good at communicating with us between the time we paid the deposit and work began. We were told the company uses their own employees (no subs or day laborers) and that seemed to be the case with our project. We were overall pleased with the work they did and think the new roof looks great.
Description of Work: They removed the old felt paper and shingles and installed new drip edge flashing, ice/snow shield, felt paper, shingles and a temperature controlled attic fan.

+ 0 moreWhen I originally spoke with the company they seemed to be very willing to work with me and anxious to do a good job and anxious to keep me as a customer. I have tried several times to contact this company for new work for the old problem (leaking below the window), which was not corrected by the caulking and the gutter. They have not returned my calls regarding new work with a new contract and new money.
Description of Work: I informed them of my problem, and they came out and put new caulking over existing caulking (which is not a good way to do it). They removed and replaced the gutter on the rear of the house. When I informed the company about the improper caulking, they came back and removed the old caulking and replaced it with new.

Chad, the owner of the business, was on site and working with his employees. We were pleased to see no day laborers. He also removed my old solar panels and hauled them to the dump for me. I would highly recommend All American for any work needed on your home.
Description of Work: New roof and gutters with guards. Replaced all fascia and rake boards. Replaced rotten wood on all four corners of house and wrapped in Tyvek.
