On Sunday afternoon, I tried to open my garage door, but it only went up about a foot and wouldn’t go any higher. Upon inspecting the garage door, I discovered that one of the springs had snapped. I needed to get the door open to charge my Tesla, so I requested service through Angi. Almost immediately after submitting the request, I received a call from Adams Garage Door. The owner personally reached out and kindly explained the type of spring I needed, as my old wooden garage door requires a heavy-duty spring. He offered a great price and quickly brought the necessary parts and tools to fix the issue. Amazingly, he arrived just 20 minutes after I hung up the phone. While replacing both springs, he thoroughly explained the process. Despite it being around 5:30 PM on a Sunday, he came to the rescue and resolved the problem. He was extremely professional and courteous throughout. I highly recommend Adam for any garage door-related issues—he’s an expert.

Saturday night opened the garage door and heard a loud bang and immediately knew what it was . The cable and spring assembly broke. I called a friend and they recommended Adams Garage Door. I called Adams Garage Door and explained the situation (Remember this is Saturday night) and he said he would be out tomorrow morning @ 9am(I was thinking more toward the work week). The next morning he repaired the door mechanisms and also gave me some pointers about my system. My home is about 12 years old. The quickness, knowledge and just pleasant conversation will have me reaching back out to Adams Garage Door for the rest of my business.

Spring and Motor Replacement

Charges $55 just to come out, if you do not use his service. Quoted $45 per door for maintenance and $250 to fix the loose piece, which honestly I thought way over priced, and a bit over kill in what needed to be done to fix what was loose, but I thought I would go ahead and have him do the service since he is here and I didn't want to pay $55 for him just to come to my house. BIG MISTAKE!! He puts a reinforcement bar across the whole door to fix the loose piece, again a bit over kill, for one bracket that was loose in the center bottom of the door, but ok, it is definitely taken care of and will not come loose again. He then proceeds to trouble shoot the issue on the other door. Sprays a bunch of WD-40 on the chain and rollers, but never really fixes the problem. I kept telling him it is not fixed, he says there is nothing he can do!! He tries to replace the pullies, that still doesn't fix it. He sprays more WD-40. He got it to work a little better, and I said I would pay $300 instead of the $340 since he didn't fix the other door. He agreed. Now today the door that he got to work a little better, is right back to not closing unless you hold the button down the whole time. Basically I paid $300 for a metal bar and a can of WD-40, and still have the main issue that I originally hired him for. I called him to tell him what has happened. He offered to return my money, and tries to tell me that the problem is wich the opener and it can't be fixed.

Wonderful job from the price quote to completing installation! Highly recommended! Adam was very prompt in responding to my request to a price quote, and provided a fair price over the phone. He even suggested the garage door brand he thought was much more reliable and easier to maintain or repair if needed, over time. As agreed over the phone, Adam arrived the very next day, right on time, removed the old garage door openers, installed the two new ones, tested them and showed me how all worked. Very polite, very helpful, on time, very good job and reasonable price. I would hire again and I highly recommend him.

Quickly identified problem, negotiated price and completed work of replacement of two 20 year old garage door openers. Cleaned up and help to program my vehicles to open the doors. I woudl strongly encourage hiring him to compete your next garage door work.
