Tharp's Roofing

Excellent.

The two to three weeks went by, with no call or workers, then a month, and now two months. I've called and left numerous messages which were not returned. The only time I managed to get hold of him was either speaking to his family by calling his home and he would be put on the phone or called back once, or I called on a friend's cell phone and he picked right up, after refusing to answer any of my calls. He told me every time that he had my roofing material and would come and do my roof, I was next in line, etc. etc., every time he never showed up and he never called or answered my calls. The last time I spoke to him, by getting hold of his wife late one evening and him calling me the next morning, he told me he would refund my money if I wanted because he wouldn't get to me for another two weeks. REALLY, so I guess he was CONSTANTLY TELLING ME LIES every time he promised to come and do the roof. This by the way is a leaking roof. So I told him I did want my money back and this week he told me he would refund my money and meet me tomorrow with a cashier's check. He was going to call me today and tell me a time, but of course that was just another lie. He has not called and he is not answering his phones, cell or at home. As if all that were not bad enough, he showed me a house near to mine and told me he did the roof to show me his work. Recently I stopped by and asked the owner if he had done their roof, and they had never heard of him... another roofing company did it. So he completely lied about that as well. This is not mere incompetence it is outright fraud, if he had mugged me in the street and stole my money I could at least have him arrested, but now I am obligated to try and get my money back, while finding more money to pay another roofer while this scum just carries right on living and working. People like this make me sick, I work hard to support my handicapped husband and elderly mother, life is hard enough without losers like this.

He lied, decieved, and stole $4000.00 of money given to him to purchase the material for the roof. all attempts were exhausted trying to get him to return calls. Repeatedly lied, about when he would be starting the job. Then he just stopped answering the phone and never returned a single phone call. He is a thief!

THe gentleman who answered the phone and came to our home never introduced himself. He had such a thick accent it was hard to communicate, and I think he may have been hard of hearing because he often asked me to repeat myself. He hopped on my roof, and came down and told me what needed repairing. He said he was lisenced and insured and said he'd bring proof the day he started the work. He then made a date to come and do the work. That day came and went, no phone call, nothing. When I called him he said he ordered parts and they'd be in the next week. We made a date to do the work that day. No phone call. I called him and he said he'd go get the parts that day and come out. Never came, never called. I phoned him twice the following day and unable to leave voicemail because of full voicemail. Horrible experience. Save yourself the effort and call someone else.

They actually got on the roof, looked over the entire area before giving me an estiimate. They called when they were not able to be there the original date. They came in and finished the removal of the old roofing materials, replaced broken plywood, and installed new roofing materials in one day. AWESOME WORK !!
