We purchased a LG brand Washer/Dryer combo - a floor model which the salesman (Derik) told us was the last in stock. Derik and the manger of the store (who's name I cannot remember) told us that even though we were purchasing a floor model, HH Gregg guaranteed that the washer/dryer would be "as new" with full warranties and in perfect condition. As we were renovating our home at the time, we asked if they could hold the items until the renovation was complete. They assured us that they would hold the washer/dryer and deliver whenever we wanted. In the interim, the items would be stored in their warehouse, carefully wrapped and protected. Once we completed the renovation, we called for delivery and all went as scheduled. Unfortunately, the paint on the dryer was scratched. We phoned Derik to let him know the problem. Derik told us that LG no longer made that particular color of Washer/Dryer but he assured us that HH Gregg would get us some touch-up paint. Derik phoned us on a couple of occasions to let us know that he was trying, but to no avail. In the end, we never got the touch-up paint. HH Gregg (Winchester, Pleasant Valley Road) promised what they could not, or would not, deliver. We will not buy from HH Gregg again because we cannot trust what they say.
Description of Work: Didn't come through as they promised.

I went there in March and bought a Samsung television and also a three year extended warranty with HH Gregg. In the first part of October, the television went dead. I contacted Samsung since it was within their one year warranty. Samsung tried to fix it but could not, so they offered to replace it with a new one. Unfortunately, the new television would not be covered by the first year warranty, so I opted to get a refund for the television. I was informed they could not return my tax money because it was taken by HH Gregg. I called HH Gregg and explained that Samsung was refunding the cost of the television and asked them to refund the tax. They would not, so I contacted the state's tax department who informed me that HH Gregg would need to refund the tax and that it was possible. I also asked HH Gregg to refund the extended warranty. After I submitted the paper work for the warranty refund, I was sent back a check for less than what I paid. HH Gregg informed me they prorated the amount. HH Gregg explained coverage started from day one although the warranty was for three years started after Samsung's warranty expired. When I contacted Samsung about this, I was told their first year warranty covered any and all repairs needed and additional coverage from HH Gregg was unnecessary. I contacted HH Gregg with this knowledge, explained what Samsung had told me, and requested a full refund of my warranty and tax. I told the representative from HH Gregg that I wanted all my money returned or I would have to take HH Gregg to small claims court. At that point, I was directed to speak with their legal department, which was about as helpful as HH Gregg's customer service. The problem hasn't been resolved yet.
Description of Work: I purchased a television through HH Gregg and bought a 3 year extended warranty with it.
