the estimator was wonderful but 3wks later and repeated phone calls to get the estimate sent to me, After 3wks the owner called me back saying he didn't have any paperwork about the job. When finally received the estimate was not for the work we talked about! Howard Perkins is the owner and incompetent along with the office staff

One of the last steps in completing our enclosed deck with a fireplace was to add a beautiful, rustic mantel. The men at the Woodcrafts shop designed, created, and installed a beautiful piece of fir for just that purpose. They did a fine job on it. We are very pleased with their work.

I placed my call to Virginia Woodcrafts and spoke with a nice guy (John? the brother?) who sent me to speak with his colleague Howard. I rang Howard up and left a voice mail message. Shortly thereafter I received a call back from Howard. He completely understood that I needed a variety to small repairs done to my house. (I had sold my house, and these were repairs the Home Inspector had identified.) We agreed that they would come out the following day at something like 10am. The very next day, at about 9:30am, a team of three men arrived at my house and swarmed over it like an army of efficient worker ants. Crawling on the roof (no fears, complete ability to confidently manuever around on the crazy pitch), examining the areas requiring repairs, inspecting the repair sites. After about 15 minutes Howard arrived and described to me what kind of work would be done to repair the five areas the Home Inspector had identified. The crew was here for about a total of half-an-hour, and as they were leaving, Howard said he would get an estimate to me that day via email. I had a special request for him, I needed to have all the work done in less than five days. I was closing on my house in less than ten days and there were some special restrictions imposed on me to have the work completed several days prior to closing. Although Virginia Woodcrafts' schedule was quite busy and full of other jobs, they swung in to action and came the following day. Again, three men descended on my house and with amazing speed and confidence that comes with experience, they completed all the projects the same day. They arrived in the morning, and left around lunch time. I would heartily recommend them to anyone who is searching for an excellent quality home repair company, a remodeling company, etc. They are licensed and insured. Their communication with me was not only prompt but completely forthcoming. Their pricing was completely fair. Howard even agreed to be paid at the time of closing! If I wasn't moving to another state, I would continue to utilize his services.

We had recently experienced some major rain storms and our roof developed a small leak. I called and made an appointment for 9/21 between 10-10:30AM. When he did not arrive I called to reconfirm at 11AM. He was very apologetic and came over immediately with 3 of his workmen. We went to the attic and his workers were on the roof, found the problem immediately ( a lost shingle) and because I had replacement shingles fixed the problem immediately. While on the roof, the workers took care of popped nails and sealed around the skylight. They were here and gone within 15 minutes. Courteous, professional, efficient and did not try to overcharge. Four men 15 minutes, problem solved for $100 was worth it.
