The project went fine. The labor cost was exactly one half the estimate provided by a local mirror-hanging specialist, a cost that would have made the job untenable. Gene, the owner, is very laid back and doesn't seem to get flustered by difficulty or novelty.

Gene as he goes by, only finished about 85% of the bathroom and didn't hook up the plumbing correctly. He also only put up two sheets of drywall in the kitchen and pudded one seam. He hung about 5 cabinets that I had to help him with because the worker he said he had was arrested for something so it was just him. On top of that the 5 to 5 1/2 days turned into 8 days and he demanded the rest of the money up front before he would come back in 2 weeks to finish the job. During the last day he was at our home he kept saying that he had no food and no money because he needed to feed his kids and that they only had bread and jelly and no peanut butter so they could not even make sandwiches and how he just paid out alot of money because him and his family had just gotten back from Disney World and the bank took out $3000.00 for his house and 2 car payments. So I being a mother felt bad and made my husband against his better judgment give him $450.00 so they could feed the kids. We ended up getting another contactor in to fix and finish the job and in the process my husband notice that the copper pipe was missing that went to our base board heating unit. At the end of it all he was arrested for felony larceny by York County Sheriff. I would never let this man do work for anyone I know. He is a thief!!!! He went before the Circuit Court of York County and the City of Poquoson and plead guilty to a lesser charge of misdemeanor Petit Larceny. Seifert is currently serving probation until his case goes for review in the beginning of next year. We are currently in the process of entering actions and filing complaints with other agencies against Lloyd Eugene Seifert III and his business Seifert's Handyman Service.
