Description of Work: I came back from vacation and found that our corporate team was coming to our Williamsburg Facility for an inspection. I called Joe Hertzler at 9am on a Monday and asked him to cut/trim the grounds because our team would be there by noon. He redirected his staff and had them there by 10:30 am. They finished and our corporate team loved the way the grounds looked...Thanks to Joe and his team....Kevin

 + 3 moreThey explained that due to our late call we would receive 5 sprays this year and 6 next year. In addition, they did a free soil test, came back fairly good condition. In fall for extra amount of $299 they will aerate lawn and overseed it. We chose them because they , unlike other cos., told us it was too late to put out pre-emergent spray and their price for aeration etc. was much lower. Also neighbors have used them with good results.
Description of Work: 2nd of 5 sprayings to kill weeds in yard and rejuvenate the lawn. Also worker came out and fixed our sprinkler system including adjusting sprinkler heads. Great job.

Description of Work: Remove ground cover and weeds from planting beds around the foundation of the house. Mulch the planting beds. Job was done well on the dates scheduled. The amount billed was the estimate, which was substantially lower than the estimate of another landscaping company (not on Angie's List). The manager arrived within two business days of my initial call at the scheduled time to examine the area and develop an estimate. However, after waiting a week, it was necessary to call regarding the failure to send any estimate. Received an e-mail response two days later and finally received the estimate a few days after that. This is the reason for the "B" grades in Responsiveness and Professionalism. Did not receive the bill until two weeks after completion of the work although it was back dated. H&G does good work, but has some internal administration problems.

 + -1 moreI used Angie's List to contact the vendor/service provider to request an estimate to edge and mulch both my rental property and my residence (adjacent properties). They responded to use their website to perform the request. I completed all of the information on their website and I never received a callback or e-mail.
Description of Work: Nothing. Never responded to my request for an estimate.

 + 0 moreWe live on a large wooded lot and it can take hours to remove all the leaves, fallen branches and debris from our yard. Hertlzer and George sent a team of 5 or 6 out and worked for approximately 5 hours. They had to bring in a huge vacuum system and truck to haul it all out. They did a beautiful job. The leaves were soggy from all the rains so it was not an easy job. The crew were extremely nice and careful of any existing landscaping and lighting.
Description of Work: mowed, trimmed trees, removed branches and debris , removed a lot of leaves.

 + -1 moreIt did go at all - they must not want the business. After three weeks I contracted with another company.
Description of Work: Contacted and received confirmation of appointment. Man showed up, looked at property and asked for a plat of the property. He seemed to be preoccupied with another customer and a cellphone call. Never heard from them again.
