Quick and Clean ....these guys are great.

I appreciated that they were here on time when they said they would be. The work was done quickly and they performed every task they said they would do. They also walked the property with me to go through every task they would perform. They were certified Arborists that were extremely knowledgeable about all the different types of trees in my yard. They will be returning for the next few years to maintain my trees and shrubbery.

Don't know. Nothing to see. Work for which I was billed involved injecting nutrients into the soil near trees and shrubs, "cultivating the soil" near 3 small trees, and performing "systematic soil treatment" to 2 plants. Any blame for the breathtaking, outrageous price goes to me, not the vendor. My wife arranged the service, to which I readily agreed. Sounded just fine. I glanced at some estimate notes and stupidly imagined a continuing service over a period of at least a few months rather than a couple of hours of labor What's the lesson for you from my laziness? Caveat emptor - let the buyer beware. Ask how much in labor hours and materials is involved. If $50 in chemicals and an hour or two of work are all that is involved - get more estimates. I sure wish that I had been conscientious instead of lazy. I have been dealt a stinging and embarrassing lesson in failing to do my homework and in being a foolish consumer. Maybe you can learn from my foolish mistakes.

They came out within a few hours for an emergency call to clear a fallen oak tree blocking our driveway. I have been a customer for 11 years and they have always done a great job. I am very grateful for their responsiveness because we were trapped and couldn't get to work. Always polite and professional. Andrew Koenig is a wonderful arborist.

ess upThey couldn't come on the date promised because of weather problems.. They call on promised date and setup another date. They arrived that date and did the work contracted, then cleaned the mess up and told me they would send a bill, which they did and no hidden fees. We have used them since we bought the house in 1988. They are professional in their work and respect for the customer and his wife. I will keep using them as they do not BUTCHER the trees.

HIGHLY, HIGHLY RECOMMEND! Our property near the oceanfront includes 13 majestic live oak trees, each 100+ years old. The trees had not been pruned in several years and had accumulated extensive deadwood, mainly lower branches that no longer recceive much light. Some of the larger branches represented a hazard to the people or structures in the event of a strong storm. We view ourselves as stewards of these trees which pre-date us and will (we hope) outlive us. We wanted to find arborists with a similar appreciation for the trees. Representative/arborist Jason Heizer met with me and closely examined each tree, making recommendations for care. I was impressed by his knowledge. His admiration and care for these magnificanent trees was apparent. Pruning was a full 3 day event. Because of the layout of our property, virtually all work had to be done by harness-climbing. Bucket trucks could not enter the yard, or even driveway. The agile 3-man pruning team was amazing to watch. They arrived timely, worked neatly and carefully. Although Mr. Heizer warned us he could not guarantee that our slate roof would not be harmed by falling limbs, the team was very careful to secure limbs as they were cut and there was zero damage. On several occasions, the team leader requested my input and offered me options on pruning of specific limbs. The team carefully considered safety of people and structures, health of the trees, and aesthetics. At our request, the team left the larger wood behind, cutting it to fit our firebox and neatly stacking it. This was not a small job--we have at least 2 cords of firewood. All of the smaller branches were neatly raked and removed. In the end, the dead wood was gone, the yard receives a little more light. And yet we and the neighbors marvel that the cuts are so clean and well placed you'd hardly guess any pruning was done. Fertilizer was applied a few months later when timing was optimal for treatment. We have formed a lasting relationship with this company. When a neighbor expressed concern about a potential pest problem, we contacted Mr.Heizer for expert advice. At no cost, he quickly identified the pest (wooly oak gall), and assured us our trees were not harmed by being host to the native wasp that uses them. We are subscribed to the online newsletter and tips which we find informative and helpful.

They first came and inspected all the plants and presented a plan for maintenance and cost. I thought a very large oak tree was very close to dying. They pruned dead wood, fed the tree, and provided maintenance for the bark of the tree. It already shows progress, but it will take several years to completely recover. For the shrubbery, they came five times to inspect, spray or provide any treatment needed to keep them healthy.

Three applications over three months. Timely and polite workmanship.

And I have recommended Bartlett's as the top-notch tree service available.The contract that I have had for the last 11 years (and counting) certainly speaks for my complete satisfaction with the company and every one of its employees. The advice is honest and credible--They are more interested in maintaining a healthy landscape for the homeowner rather than selling something that is not needed. Over the years I have had them nurse my trees through droughts, ready them for hurricanes or ice storms, and prune for health and safety. Pest management has saved my pricey specimens. I have trusted all aspects of my landscape to them. Appointment times are met and timely follow-up reports are submitted. Execution of the tasks at hand are handled safely and professionally, whether it is trimming 70 foot trees or spraying heritage boxwoods. I have full faith and confidence that the programs that we have established have been the best possible for my wooded site. I would recommend Bartlett's to anyone who is looking for a top-quality, knowlegeable tree service, whether it be preventative maintenance or storm/disease cleanup. You can always find a cheap guy with a chain saw who is available to hack away at your trees---but if you want educated, highly respected professionals Bartlett's is the only company you need to call.

This is for soil care and fertilization on the plants and shrubs on my property. I use Bartlett for almost everything related to trees and shrubs. They are very professional, Andrew Koenig is prompt, courteous, and they do what the say they will, when they say they will do it. They are not the least expensive service out there, but they are very trustworthy, and both my wife and I appreciate it. We know that when they do a job, it is done right, the cleanup is impeccable, and the price is fair. We have been using them for years.

If the treatment is as effective as the last, then we will not have the level of aphids next spring. Since I had used Bartlett in the past the I am confident it will be successful.

They took literally everything away - including several large limbs. They also cleaned my driveway.

Jason arrived on site and was extremely helpful and profressional. He offered free advice beyond the services I had requested. The crew arrived on time, were very professional and thorouhly cleaned my yard and my neighbor's yard. They are pricey, but worth the extra money.

I had three tree removal service providers out to my house to give me estimates on the work described above. Bartlett was the most expensive of the three but seemed to be the most professional so we went with them. After getting a written estimate I signed the contract and set a date for the work to be completed. The day Bartlett was supposed to arrive I waited 45 minutes for them to show and then called the office. I was told that for some reason I was not on the calendar even though the representative remembers setting the date, he didn't know why my job wasn't on the calendar. We rescheduled for another day. The next scheduled day they did arrive on time and performed 90% of the work. The workers were getting ready to pack up when I asked about grinding the three stumps. I was told there was another team that did that work. After calling the office again I was informed that yes a separate team did the stump grinding but they were not sure when they could get them out to our house. I was promised a call by the end of day which never came. The reason this is all frustrating is one, I should have been told that the stump grinding would not be done on the same day, so now I have to clear my schedule for a third day to have this work done. Second, the reason I need the stump grinding done is because we hired a landscaping crew to come out and re-landscape the flower bed, I have now had to reschedule them twice. I really wanted all this done before a slew of company descends upon our house in two weeks but since I still don't have a date for stump grinding I don't think that will happen. The work that has been done is fine, but not worth the extra money when I could have had it done cheaper and sooner and all in one day.

They are going to do the work in August.

Greg and his coworker did a great job! Greg frequently briefed me on what he was about to do, and asked me to check the work so see what I thought. When he finished, he briefed me on what was done, and asked if it looked like he got everything. I very much appreciate the fine work the crew did. Also, they spent about 30 minutes cleaning up as they secured their gear. Very neat, careful work. This is the best work I have had done in a long time and I really appreciate the professional way it was executed. This was a great crew and we will use them again!

I think Bartlett's service was exceptional. They were very good about coming out before the project started, and discussing what needed to be done. I thought they listened to me when I told them what I thought needed to be handled with the pruning. They were prompt, did the job very well, and they cleaned up before they left. I also thought they were very personable, and very nice people. I think the pricing is expensive, but worth it. I am sure they are comparable to others. I will use them again when my trees need pruning.

Bartlett did an excellent job from start to finish. They sent a professional arborist to see what we wanted done and he was able to provide us options on how much trimming should be done. They were very responsive and on time for both the estimate and to complete the work. They cleaned up afterwards and made sure we were happy with all of the work. Would definitely use Bartlett again.

Their services have been very good. I spent about $1200 for their services. Their knowledge about trees stands out about them. I called them to have trees taken down. So, they did an assessment and told me what needed to be done with the trees instead of cutting the trees down. I called a stump grinder who was on Angie’s List and the stump grinder was also a tree remover. Bartlett Tree Experts are served by arborists. The stump grinder stated that he was an arborist too and has been working with trees for 15 years. However, an arborist is like a nurse’s aide who is not a nurse. A nurse is a person with a registered nursing license and not someone who has taken care of your mother or your grandmother in the evening for 15 years. Overall, Bartlett Tree Experts were excellent. Their price was very reasonable because I was expecting much more than that, but I don’t know what other people would say. I would be using them in the future too.

member the One of their certified tree experts came to my house and surveyed my property and gave me some recommendations and an estimate for the work. The price seemed a little high, but I had them do the work based on their good reputation. They showed up on time on the appointed day with the expert guy and a crew of three workers. They had one expert climber that did the real high work and two fellows that worked mostly on the ground. They appeared very skillful and seemed to work very safely. They dragged all the limbs and branches to a chipper truck which made quick work of them. They cleaned up all the mess and left my yard looking OK. They came back on another day with the fertilizer pumping truck to treat the sick red oak, and again were on-time and professional.

Bartlett tree service did a nice job trimming up our trees. I originally wanted to remove the tree but they said there was really no reason to. They fertilized a maple tree in the back that wasn't doing to well and treated most of our shrubs with disease/pest control products. We have a huge problem with spider mites in our back yard. They were on time and very efficient. They were very responsive to calls and e-mails. They did not use any spikes on their shoes when trimming the trees which was very important to us. Overall, we were very happy with the work
