Ace Chimney Sweep

The work was done neatly and professionally. Most of the leaking stopped, but we contacted Ryan about it still having some leakage. He returned, spent several hours checking and repairing mortar joints and applying some more of the repellent without further charges to us. The leaking stopped and has been resolved for several months. We are pleased with the result.

Everything went well. Ryan showed up on time and got right to work. He did an excellent job cleaning the gas fireplace logs and was pretty thorough in his inspection of the unit. Turns out I need new logs and to replace my Chase Cover. Without his expertise, we might have gotten into some real trouble over the winter. He stayed behind, after the cleaning and inspection was completed, and gave me so advice for further maintenance of the unit. I'm very grateful. Well worth the money spent.

It went GREAT. All the services were performed as previously agreed to. Ryan and crew are very professional. He talked me through all the repairs and explained the details well. He answered all questions thoroughly. He has earned the terrific reputation he has on the List.

I purchased a chimney sweep and inspection on 10/3/14 and noted in the comments that I needed an appointment asap since I am selling the house. They were supposed to contact us no later than 10/7/14, but they did not (Angie's List emailed to ask if we had received a call). I called today and also sent a message though their website and they finally called back. They could not schedule me until 10/23 which is too late. I know they are very busy, but I need to get the inspection done, so I am asking for a refund. Thank you.

I am not kidding when I say Ryan (owner) and his team are the most professional and kind people with whom I have ever done business. They lived up to the reviews I read before picking them. They were very fast, efficient, and left zero mess. What's more, Ryan gave me a great summary (with pictures), detailing improvements he suggested be done. He was specific on the proposed costs but did not pressure me in any way to get it done then which I appreciated. I will definitely continue doing business with Ace.

They arrived promptly and were very professional and pleasant. They did a good job of keeping the area clean and told us we needed a new chimney cap, which we did not purchase at the time, but will do so later. I was very pleased with their work.

Were very prompt. They moved furniture and laid down covers. They vacuumed as they went along and didn't leave a speck of dust anywhere. I live in an old house and was surprised they didn't "find" anything wrong with my chimney. They told me it was in great shape and didn't try to sell me more services I didn't need. In and out in less than an hour. I would definitely use them again.

very professional, took plenty of time going over any issues that came up with inspection. After cleaning you would have never know that my chimney and firebox had been clean, there was no sign of soot or dirt left behind in the box nor house. Upon noticing water in the firebox recommended a cap be installed, we requested the cap be installed that day and the request was completed same day.

They called to reschedule the date in order to finish a job they were working on before a series of rain storms hit, but showed up on time for the new date. They were fast and did a good job cleaning the chimney. They informed me that my chimney was previously repaired and in good shape. They suggested a new chimeny cap because mine was starting to rust out. They showed me a few different options, but were not trying to push the sale on me which I appreciated. I will definitely use them again.

I had used a popular and well known company last year and the guys that came out spent two hours telling how bad my fireplace was and how they could get to work on it right away. They said they could get my fireplace back in service for as low as $1,800. I told them I needed the chimney cleaned. When this company came out, they were surprised at how dirty my chimney was and frankly I was surprised, as well. We used our fireplace very little last winter and the wood was seasoned and dry. I suspect the previous well known, popular company with the jingle did not clean the fireplace. This company was very professional, non threatening, and very trustworthy. I will be scheduling next years cleaning very soon.

They did a fine job and I have recommended him to others. He was quick and fine. The scheduling was fine.

They came out super fast and did a professional job. The new cap looks great. The flashing repairs look professionally done. They did not try and sell me the cap and repairs, I asked them for both. Great company I would use them again but I moved out of the area.

The cleaning and inspection itself went fine. (Well great considering our chimney is still in excellent condition after 40 years.) Our issue was responsiveness. We noticed well in advance that we had an issue with our previously scheduled time and tried calling 3 times in the 2 days before the appointment to change our time. No one ever called back. We then prepared our sitter to expect the service at around 11AM and we would try to get home in time while they were here. The sweep instead showed up ONE HOUR EARLY and never called us to let us know that he would be arriving early. Thank goodness the sitter had just arrived. He then did the cleaning and inspection and left, leaving behind the estimate for further repairs and never called either my spouse or me to let us know the work was completed or what he had found on the inspection. While we were happy with the special, we won't be calling Ace Chimney again.

I was given a quote of $500 by another local company for firebox cracks that they were able to repair in 15 minutes and only charged me $30 for the repair. This company is honest, reliable, punctual and professional. I will be recommending them to friends!

It was great! They even showed us the bird's nest that was removed. My grandchildren were very interested in that. They were on time and did a thorough job! Thanks!

Fantastic. Ryan was nice, thorough and willing to go above and beyond to help. We need to put in a damper in our Fireplace as well as a few other maintenance things and will definitely be scheduling with them in the near future.

Arrived on schedule with a helper. Was very clean and neat and cleaned wood burning stove. He advised me that my chimney cap looked rusty and I might want to replace it soon.
