Ace Chimney Sweep

The initial service went fine. The inspection showed some damage. All of my attempts to engage/hire Ace to do the repairs they'd recommended went unanswered.

They were on time and very professional. They even made the suggestion that the exhaust vent was fine and really didn,t need cleaning at this time. They also pointed out possible future problems. They were very helpful.

The technician came and performed a free inspection of the entire fireplace, not just what I had inquired to fix. He then looked at f the panels to determine if they could be repaired, but they could not, and then quoted me the cost to replace them and asked if I wanted to do this. I had them do the work. The technician kept me appraised of everything he did, apologized for taking a little longer than he anticipated. They also took 10% off for using a referral from Angie's List. Would recommend them for any chimney or fireplace work.

They were outstanding. I would have them back in a minute!

Contacted Ace via Angie's List on 3/7/15, today is 3/15/15 and I have yet to hear anything from them.

I had purchased a chimney clean and inspection form Angie's lists and had some issues with Setting a date to get the service done but that was on my end. It took almost a year to get the service done And I had no problems with getting in touch with the owner and he was very accommodating hi name is to my needs. I thought I had a major problem with my chimney and let the owner know that. He cleaned and inspected my chimney and found it was in good shape and only need a new rain cap. He could of sold me anything because I thought I had a major problem. I would definitely use this company again.

Ryan is awesome! He showed up on time with an assistant and got right to work. He had the chimney cleaned and inspected in less than a half hour. We have a small crack at the top of our chimney, but it's not causing any issues. Ryan showed me a picture of the crack and told me what to watch for. He also told me our damper may need to be replaced soon, and offered options, recommendations, and price estimates. Never once did he try to sell me something I didn't need. He simply gave me the information and answered all the questions I had so we could make an informed decision when the time came. At the end of the service, he cleaned up and left my living room cleaner than it was when he arrived! This is the second year that we have used Ace Chimney Sweep and recommend them to everyone! I will continue to use Ace as long as they will let me! Excellent service!!!

They're excellent and the cheapest. They came when they said they were going to come and did a great job.

Ryan is very nice, respectful person. Him and one his technicians came right on scheduled time. They vacuumed fireplace and cleaned chimney. When minor cracking was found in the firewall during the inspection they fixed it. Cleaned entire space after themselves and left it better when it was before. Highly recommend his company for your services.

The original intent was to have the Fireplace cleaned in preparation of the winter. Excellent job. While here and asked about the chimney guard at top which need to be replaced. Excellent job. While up there owner took photo of top of chimney and showed that though cement is ok for now, that it will need to be repaired and I authorized them to do so. Another excellent job. The I figure might as well vaccum out the dryer vent as that was needed as well. again excellent job. by just 2 guys. The owner and helper.

They were very good. Their customer service was good. I would use them again. Their price seemed good. They did a good job.

I left a message and Ryan returned my call promptly. He was busy and could not give me an appointment for almost three weeks. On the appointed day it was raining hard and he called to reschedule for the following week. He was an hour late and I had to call the office to make sure he was still coming. Once here, Ryan and his helper were courteous, competent and professional. I had had another company tell me they couldn't clean my vent because their equipment would damage the semi-rigid ductwork, but Brian said it was rigid and he was able to clean it with no problems. He also upgraded the plastic accordion-style hose coming from the dryer for just $28, compared to the $52 quoted by the other company. Ryan and his helper cleaned up everything nicely and put the washer and dryer back in place. I definitely recommend this company.

the two men who did the work were friendly, courteous, professional, and efficient. All the repairs were verified by visual inspection either by showing me the problem or, in the case of the flashing, a photo was taken. They were a few minutes early, which was great because my day was slammed. If you ever get the feeling that someone really loves their work, it shows in bright neon with these guys.

Had some difficulty getting screws back into chimney cap. Seems secure enough so far, cap has not fallen off. Gave a quote on a second chimney. I have not had the work done as yet.

It was a very good experience. They were very polite and did it in a very timely manner. They were very professional. He took videos before and after to show me the work he did.

When cleaning the chimney they dislodged my mantle. It is not sitting on wall correctly. I have called him several times to try and fix the issue and he is not responding. I have called and emailed him numerous times. This company is not licensed or insured for liability-something a consumer needs to know.

They were prompt and professional. They cleaned out the dryer vent inside the house, cleaning the inside hose out completely. Then they went outside and cleaned the the vent from the outside making sure that there was nothing left in the dryer vent. What a difference a clean dryer vent makes in your drying time. The team was very nice and we will gladly use them again.

They arrived promptly at the appointment time and immediately got to work. They answered all of my questions and made good recommendations. Will definitely use them in the future.

Mr Ryan Wilson the Owner/Operator of Ace Chimney Sweep services scheduled an appointment to clean my chimney on Nov 8th. at 10:30am. I waited the ENTIRE day for him and he did not show up. I've left several voicemail messages for him to return my calls and as of today 11/23/2014 he has failed to do so. As it stands now I've pre- paid for services that were not honored by Ace Chimney services, and would like a complete refund!!

I provided my contact information when I purchased the service coupon, 20 July 2013, but was never contacted. I called the contact number on the service coupon some time in January 2014 to try to set up an appointment. There was no answer so I left a message on the answering machine. My call was never returned.

The repairs all done at the same time as the cleaning, very efficient and convenient and reasonably priced. Ryan and his crew are very pleasant to deal with and informative - we will certainly be going back to him next year.

Ryan A. Wilson, owner/operator and his assistant arrived early and went to work quickly and professionally. They set up a clean tarp, laid down their tools, plugged in a very quiet yet efficient vacuum and also a work light. First, he cleaned each gas log (which were covered in soot) with a small brush - all the while having the vacuum suck up the dirt - then he used the chimney sweep brush to clean out the flue by adding extension handles as he went up, then he hand brushed the area around the damper and thoroughly cleaned the walls of the firebox. Next he placed the logs back into the fireplace, removed his tools and tarps and went outside to inspect the chimney from above. I was impressed with the professional, friendly and courteous mannerisms of both Ryan and his assistant and would recommend their services to everyone.

Ryan came out and provided us an estimate to have our deteriorated chimney chase replaced. He showed us pictures of our existing chase and answered all of our questions. We signed up for the service on the spot. We had to change the date of work around a few times and ACE Chimney Sweep was very accommodating. Ryan and his assistant showed up promptly on the selected day and completed the job in about half a day. They primed, painted, and installed a new, galvanized chase/crown, replaced rotted wood along the top chimney edge under the chase, and installed a new storm collar. Ryan and his assistant were very polite and professional and they cleaned up the site when they were done. We intend to use them for future chimney cleaning requirements and any other fireplace-related work we need. We are glad we came across Ace Chimney Sweep on Angie's List and look forward to using them in the future.
