Ace Chimney Sweep

First, they were about 45 minutes late. Then, Ryan gave me the price which was reasonable. I have a double chimney. He gave me a price for 2 chimney caps. He said he measured and it would be fine. I told him I was going to have to leave before the job was finished and he said he would email me with pictures once he finished. I waited for the pictures and never received them. I called to ask about the pictures, left messages and he never returned my call. The single chimney caps, though apparently functional are not visually appealing at all. They overlap and look askew. I was not pleased at all. He should have recommended a double chimney cap. Apparently he was more concerned with doing the job with the materials that he had on the truck than doing the job where the customer would be pleased. I attempted to contact him several times afterwards with no response. When I had my husband contact him, he did answer the phone but when my husband started telling him about the problem, he said that he didn't exactly remember the job and would have to go back to look at his records and he would call him back. He never received a return phone call. Not satisfied with the work and poor customer service!

Ryan was on time for the appointment, professional yet friendly, and thorough in his work. The charges were very reasonable for the work done,and we will definitely call him again (hopefully only for chimney cleaning :-).

He was prompt and efficient. He laid down a thick mat to protect my hardwood floors in front of the chimney and cleaned up all the residual ash. The inspection revealed that I needed a new Chimney cap and was given a couple of estimates for different options. The dryer vent had a couple of clogs that he was able to work through and made sure the job was done correctly and thoroughly.

Ace Chimney Sweep showed up on time and inspected and cleaned my chimney. The technician pointed out mortar issues on the chimney and recommended repairs be performed in the near future. The technician was courteous and polite. I recommend Ace Chimney Sweep.

I contacted Ryan Wilson of Ace Chimney Sweep on June 13, 2016 for a second estimate for chimney repairs. His quote of $2,063 was $1,489 less than the other company I had contacted. He told me that I really didn't need to resurface the interior of the chimney liner with Heat Shield Cerfractory Flue Sealant, which was quite costly, as they had recommended. I appreciated his honesty and, given that I use the chimney infrequently, his advice made sense. I agreed for Ryan to start the job on July 5. Ryan and his helper were very courteous and respectful. They arrived on time, began work immediately, kept be posted of their progress, finished on time, and cleaned up all debris. I strongly recommend Ryan and will gladly call him for any future chimney related issues.

The service went fine. The guy who was doing the work could have had a bag to catch the dust. He was asking me for a bag. They could have been more professional, but overall, they were fine. They were responsive. Actually, they were early.

Overall top clean service with a great attitude. Very conscientious of keeping the dust down and not making a mess. Very friendly service. There is a reason why he is always booked. Great work at a fair price! Ryan cleaned/inspected the chimney in my recently-purchased older (70 years) house, and was very careful to protect the rug and furniture near the fireplace. The chimney really needed to be cleaned badly, and due to some of the things he found (birds, squirrel), he inspected further and found that the topper for my chimney is the wrong size and does not offer any deterrent (screen) to keep small animals out of the chimney. He was able to replace the topper that day, and also showed me photos of the top of the chimney, pointing out that previous repairs were done in such a manner as to cause possible water problems in the future. Ryan will return next week to re-cap the top of the chimney as well as the three shoulders. He also cleaned the dryer vent, but since I have such a short dryer vent, and it was already fairly clean, he was kind enough to reduce the price on the dryer vent cleaning. Ryan was friendly, punctual, fair with his pricing, and does great work! Definitely an addition to my "dream team" of go-to companies for help with the house! Highly recommended!

Excellent! Excellent! Excellent! When I was searching for someone to do repair I saw this business had excellent reviews on Angies list Ryan did an excellent job and explained everything that he needed to do and did. He was professional and his customer service skills are exemplary.

Ryan was very professional, friendly, and did a great job. He thoroughly inspected the fireplace and chimney, inside and out. He took photos of the chimney while he was on the roof so he could show me what was going on up there. He was very helpful and explained everything he did and what he found. He pointed out a potential problem with the mortar in the bricks on the chimney shoulder, but was very clear that it was okay to wait on that and see what develops and didn't try to push me into an unnecessary repair. Just gave me a quote on the fix. I will definitely use him again. In fact, I'm going to have him clean my gutters later this month. Highly recommend!
