I had called in advance to ensure the mobile shredding truck was on-site and had an operator available (since the truck seems mostly to be used at off-site, commercial locations). Aside from the initial coordination, this was all quite convenient.

Provided estimate, scheduled packers and driver, monitored moving out. After moving out, independent driver was responsible for transporting goods and moving in.

Description of Work: Arranged two jobs with owner and myself. One to move two dressers at my home, the other to move daughter from one apt to another. Office lady called and had the jobs mixed up. She lectured me about the moving business and the costs. The daughter move people went perfectly; the other move of two dressers upstairs while they were in area - the two workers were great - the supervisor was snappy and wouldn't let them help with a couple of other small items (move two small dressers downstairs and take away a dresser to their warehouse that we no longer wanted and the owner said they would do. A shame - owner was nice, workers nice (we tipped on both occasions) but office worker and supervisor ruined any future work orders from us or referral.

Description of Work: Moved from Waynesboro to Williamsburg. This company was outstanding in their service. I can't say enough good things about them. The crew that delivered my household items were awesome. Please consider this company before anyone else.

Description of Work: I searched several companies before determining, which company I will hire. Atlas was one of the companies, which had excellent reviews on the Business Bureau site, likewise Angie's list. I liked that the company had local reps (in my case in Virginia), who came promptly and accurately evaluate the household to be moved.From the reviews read on the BB 's site about various moving companies, I understood that the most of the problems were generated by the discrepancy between the " binding quote" and the actual final price to be paid, once the move was completed. Thus, I was very glad to benefit from the service offered by Atlas, because it provided a reliable quote. I also valued the fact that the reps and movers were very PUNCTUAL ! That is quite a virtue, which should be generously acknowledged. The crew, who packed my belongings, was polite, professional and fast.The crew was also professionally and cleanly dressed. Another concern which I read about, when surfing the Web about different moving companies, was about the quality of the boxes used during the moving process. The boxes used for my move were in good shape and clean; the paper used to pack my belongings was of good quality and the movers used a fair quantity of both items in order to ensure that nothing is going to be damaged during the move. Another quality to be acknowledged in the case of Atlas, was the communication. Agents were available at the indicated times and my requests have been promptly addressed. Even when I asked for an official receipt, this was promptly issued. The company had to move my household from Charlottesville, VA to Phenix, AZ. We could discuss and find out of a reasonable date for the arrival of my belongings. As in Charlottesville, in Phoenix too, the reps of this company showed a very professional attitude. The driver was very punctual and the whole crew provided services of high quality throughout the whole moving process. The move was pricey, but the services were everything worth!
