Beyond my expectations. Called 4 companies, one didn't respond. HES (John) estimate was one third of the other two. Finished job in about three hours. No damage to shrubbery around tree (my yard, and my neighbors). My neighbor highly complementary about work that was done. Cleaned up debris in both yards. Very professional, job done by three men. If I have any more tree problems, I'll call John.

They did a great job! Arrived early, job was done quickly and efficiently, they cleaned up the area afterward. Tree is down, stumps are out, plus we have firewood for this winter! We are very pleased.

Couldn't have been better. Scheduled work so that ground was dry (truck had to drive into common property), and they arrived when they said they would. Expertly removed the dead ash trees that were threatening a homeowner's house, and their clean-up made it appear no one had been there. Great communication, friendly and professional crew.

We were very pleased with the quality of work performed and the price charged. Definitely a great value for us. They were also very responsive and stayed in touch to coordinate schedules for the work that spanned three different days. Everything went excellently and just as described in the contract. All workers were polite and professional. The job was done within one and a half hours using a large group of men. Communicating and dealing with John Queirolo, the company owner and supervisor of my job, was easy. He always replied to my phone calls and emails quickly. John is a pleasant person who clearly wants you to be pleased with his work. He is at the top of my list for any tree work.

Went excellent! Because of schedule problems on my part, they came on Memorial Day to do the work. Got the job done well and professionally. Several large branches overhung my house, but they were able to get them down without dropping them on the roof. Prepared several of the larger logs as firewood (cut to proper length, not split) and mulched the bits that were too damaged to use as firewood. I would definitely use them again. I feel strongly enough about their high quality service that I've felt bad for not writing this review right away!

This was the third time I have used The Hes Company and have been very happy with the work that John and his crew have done. John has been present (usually for most of the job) to make sure the job is being done correctly. Once the work has been completed he will walk the job site to make sure it has met my expectations before asking for payment. John is very personable and easy to deal with.

The guys were very efficient. They took down the dead tree and removed the debris. They returned the following day and ground out the stump and cleaned the entire area. We were very pleased. John was a pleasure to work with - very efficient and responsive.

The work was done promptly and professionally. The friendly, professional crew worked amazingly fast. We had an adjustment that John had to correct -- one tree wound up in the creek -- but the responsiveness was amazing. When John found out we wanted that tree removed, he called all the way from Lima, Peru, to make sure we knew he was on it and would fix everything. I have never met a company owner who was so friendly, so professional, and so incredibly honest. We have a large wooded property, and you can bet we will always ask John of HES to come!

Mr. Queirolo was very responsive and arranged a site visit to meet my scheduling needs. He gave me both a verbal estimate and provided me with a written estimate shortly after a site visit was completed. Mr. Queirolo maintained excellent communication for scheduling and and remained on site after the crew arrived.. They were very punctual and accommodating to all of my customer concerns and expectations. Within two hours, the crew expertly removed the trees, chipped the remains and left me with big pile of beautiful mulch. I highly recommend HES Company!

John was super responsive to my initial email, and got his crew out here in less then a week later. They arrived early and were in constant contact with me about the look and feel of everything as they worked. The crew was so nice and professional, they worked quickly and all debris was removed. I can now enjoy sitting on my front porch and actually see beyond the railing, and not worry about structural damage of one of the large bushes growing towards the foundation. I would highly recommend them to anyone! Thank you again, I'm in love with all of the extra space and light I can now enjoy.

HES Company did a fantastic job removing very large insect damaged oak tree from our suburban back yard. They brought in an experienced crew including a climber who expertly took down the tree with no damage to our property or our neighbor's property next door. It was a fairly tight space they were working in and it required great care to surgically bring down the tree with no damage. They cleaned up the mess and aside from the missing tree you'd probably not notice they had been there. Great job and I'd definitely hire them again if the need arises. I had called two other companies in my search for a company to take down the tree and they either did not return my call or didn't follow-up after the first call. That actually turned out to be to my benefit because I was very happy with the service from HES company.

This was my first time ever having to deal with trees and I can't stress enough how satisfied I am with the service we received. John was the second estimate that I received to remove 3 large limbs from neighbors tree that were growing into my pine trees. He was not the cheapest, but I felt he was the most honest. You know what they say. You get what you pay for and I got wonderful work and the trees look gorgeous and are shaped beautiful. I appreciate John's honesty, thoughtfulness and his care for our environment and our trees. My belief is he would never harm a tree (that is why they never use spikes and fertilize after major trimming) and did not take off more than was truly is needed for the health of the tree or safety my property. The three man crew arrived within the time window that John said, and went straight to work. They did a phenomenal job and no mess. I am extremely happy with the service received, an would absolutely recommend them to other homeowners and if I ever need any further tree work on the property, HES Company LLC will be the ones.

HeS Tree service did good work. John was slow to respond to email and tests however. He also forgot to trim a tree that was includes in the price, but to his credit can back and finished the job the next day. The real issue I had was the ever changing price. We had three quotes ABOVE the already paid for Angie's List price of $780. John quoted me $1050 total, minus the AL price for a balance of $270. This price I agreed to. Then quoted me another price of $1400 and told me to forget it. Next John said that he sent another price but I did not received it. John called me then to try to get me to pay the alleged third price. I did not think this was fair and so would not use his services again.

We had a large tree that needed to be removed (about 3.5 feet in diameter and close to 100 feet tall). It was a complicated task with tree limbs hanging over the house, shed, power lines and neighbor's driveway. John was very responsive, answered all our questions and gave a very competitive quote. His crew came in the morning (on time) and worked very hard for several hours. They did a great job, very professional. All wood chips were cleared from the lawn and driveway and bagged. Wood was neatly stacked. John was willing to come out another day to load and haul away all the logs but that turned out unnecessary since the logs were taken for firewood by several of our neighbors - John's crew cut all the big pieces into manageable sizes. We had flowers growing within 3-4 feet of the tree trunk and NONE were damaged. Great job!

AWESOME! John and his HES crew did AMAZING work! The two large trees had several dead branches hanging high above my child's playset area. John came out immediately to assess and then remove the hazardous branches. They really cleaned up that area of our backyard, and it looks SO GREAT! They even took the additional step to chip-up some of the wood and spread it on the ground under and around my child's swing-set and play area.......WONDERFUL job! I will definitely hire John and HES Co. for all my future tree/scaping needs.

Great services as always. I've used John Q and his company three times over the past five years and have been satisfied every time. I called John on a Tuesday, he came out to the house on Wednesday to give me a quote and Santos and crew were there the next day to do the work. I'm very impressed with the professionalism and price I get from Hess.

I cannot say enough about this company! I wish you had an A+ category! I would highly recommend John and his company. Hard working, very professional, responsive and was very accommodating with scheduling. On time and did an excellent job and also fertilized the trees, which was not expected. Great clean up. Highly recommend. With the removal of the tree, the cost for this service was a little more than the $780 advertised for the tree trimming, but a very good price for four workers that completed the work in three hours.

I am very happy with the results. The owner, John, was courteous and responsive. The crew clearly know what they were doing. The work was done on schedule and they cleaned up our yard after completing the work involved.
