They came in with a plan to give us the worst case scenario and we fell for it, basically. They were prompt. They came immediately, but the pricing was definitely expensive. I just thought we didn't have any other choice, so we went ahead and took their service. But we won't go with them again. That's for sure. If we have the same type of problem again, we'll look for another option. The dryer wasn't drying right, and they told us something blocking in the vent. They looked at it and they unblocked it, but they also looked at our air conditioning system and they said our filter also needed to be cleaned. That was caused us a lot of money, because they had to do a lot of things to get it cleaned. They were here just to do one job and it became to be that they wanted to do other things. I didn't know what else to do, so we went ahead and did what they recommended. I had no other way to base my decision on. What I thought was a $100 job turned out to be $1,000.

We used them because it was a price thing. We had a coupon and it was a good price. The cost of repair was essentially the cost of a new stove. The new stove has been great; it is definitely better than the old one. We went there, looked and then they delivered it. The delivered it when they said they would.

When I purchased my stackable washer and drier unit from Sear Warrenton I bought the service agreement and have been paying for it for years. The drier stopped worker so I called 1-800-4-my home The technician came out, ordered parts and left a message for me that when the parts came in, I was to call, but before they came back out I was to pull the washer and drier out from the wall, unstack the drier and have it on the floor. I called 1-800 4 my home and asked how, if a great big strong guy could not be expected to unstack the unit, how did they expect a 55 year old out of shape widow to do it. They assured me there was no problem, they would note that it required two technicians.2 technicians showed up installed the parts, but never even unstacked the units. They installed the parts inside the drum. Unfortunately, they left without trying out the drier, so when I went to so laundry, it still did not work. I called, said I thought it must be a fuse. They sent a tech out, it was the fuse, the tech left, but, still the drier did not work. It worked, but at some point the fuse blew again and it stopped working. I called again and was given a list of things to try, from unplugging it and plugging it back in, cleaning off the sensor, it was a number of things, alas, still the drier did not work and they finally agreed to send a technician out. The very nice man when he came said they had used refurbished parts which were defective, and he would order me new parts since the refurbished part were defective and it had been quite some time that I had been without the drier. However, the system would not let him. So he ordered more refurbished parts, and more of them. I also noticed hanging random metal screws, that the previous technician had knocked loose and not noticed. Parts came in, and I got a call from Sears, a rude condescending arrogant woman, telling me she wanted to make sure I had the drier unstacked on the floor waiting from them as required by my service agreement. I tried to explain that there should be a note for them to send 2 technicians, she was rude, arrogant, would not let me speak, kept saying they were not going to unstack the units and my service agreement required that I do it. And they were not coming out unless I had the drier sitting on the floor waiting for them. I called 1-800-4-my-home, they apologized, said they would send a note to the technicians. But it was too late for that day so we rescheduled. On the rescheduled date, again I got a call saying I had to unstack the unit, but this time they stated it was because they were afraid they would break the water line on the washer. There is a 2 inch wall on the side of the units.They refused to unstack the units and basically said no and no-one can make them do it. Again I called 1-800 4 my home and after back and forth, was told they could not overrule the local technicians. I just called to get my money back on the service agreements, I have service agreements on every appliance I own at numerous different properties, the National company is having reassigned to different technicians, and hopefully it will go better.

It was terrible. They were late and the equipment broke. We had to wait for them to get new parts. It took hours for them to clean the carpet. They said it would take 20 minutes to do the cleaning and it ended up taking about 5 hours total. They carpet cleaning was average. They just said sorry and that was it.

The technician was great very helpful, knowledgeable and informative. However, Sears' garage door service is very inefficient as they require you to purchase the parts before you ever speak to the technician so unless you are an expert in garage doors you are on your own. The store staff were nice and tried to be helpful but they had no knowledge about the parts and had no idea how to find out which I needed. As a result I purchased some incorrect parts and then had to pay extra for installation after getting the correct parts. I did call the store after finding out I had purchased the wrong product and they did credit me $45.

The guy was very nice. We ended up going with a different company. They came out in September. They were very knowledgeable and showed us all the options. The openers and the installation process. He was not pushy. They were prompt. They were professional.

He was pleasant and knew their standard products, but did not appear to be familiar with the high velocity ductwork used in our house. He tried to sell me a proprietary product that was not compatible with our ductwork, and pushed very hard to close the sale on the spot, rather than submit a bid and let me think about it overnight. He had an estimator package on his laptop, but would not email me a bid. Also tried hard to sell me a maintenance plan on the spot.

Sears and service in the same sentence is an oxymoron. I had a contract that gave me over $1000.00 off a new washing machine. I couldn't have turned it down. I have never had anything go as badly as this and I've been using sears for fifty years. The people at the service center gave me contradictory answers and they outright lied to me. It was a two and a half month nightmare. The only way I would use them again in the future is if my back was against the wall and I didn't have any other choices. I would not put anyone through what I went through with Sears.

It was covered under warranty. My experience with them was positive. They didn’t give up until they finally found out what the problem was. I had tried using my home warranty and the repair man that came out said the home warranty people a lot of stuff because he wanted to do the repair himself and he didn’t want to get paid by the warranty people for doing it. He didn’t tell them the truth and it turned into a nightmare. So that was why I gave up and called Sears. Sears came out and they tried a couple of things. When that didn’t work, they just said that they were going to replace everything inside and so they did. I think that their warranty is good because you don’t have to buy it when you buy the appliance. If you call them when you need something repaired, you can buy the warranty right then and there. That gives you unlimited access to them for a year. Then if you are not satisfied with it, they will refund your money for the warranty. If they had not fixed my dishwasher, I could have got my warranty money back. I think that their quality of service was great because they got my dishwasher running. They were really good. They called me and let me know that they were on their way. They arrived when they said they would. They were very courteous.

I don't think that they did a very good job. They were very professional and nice but they were not very conscientious. The machines seemed pretty old and could not pick up some stuff in certain areas. They seemed pricey. They got here on time. I will not use them again.
