They had to do a lot of ground moving. They had to do some design work as well as earth moving and lay the brick. They did everything on time. It looks beautiful. They did a great job in the design. The plants that I wanted to keep there, they were careful. They did wonderfully afterwards. They were very good in helping us conceptualize what needed to be done. They were very good in helping us understand what needed to be done. It was very good work at a good price. They were on time.

They did a great job. It was a good price. They were there when they said they would be there. They did the work and we had no follow up issues.

It turned out well. I am going to have to call them because the flagstone is falling down. It is a minor repair. They gave us a warranty that I am sure will cover the work. The man who was in charge, Josh, was very nice to work with. He was here during the whole project. He had some good ideas. He was open to our suggestions as well.

It has all turned out well. They do good work. He is knowledgeable.

Here is a copy of the testimonial I sent to Ground Effects: Ground Effects installed a new driveway, sidewalk, entrance stoop, as well as performing some landscaping to mitigate an long-standing erosion problem. I was stunned at the results and the level of professionalism, craftsmanship and artistry that Ground Effects brought to this modest job. I had actually pondered doing the job myself and now I just chuckle at my naivet'e. The sight lines, edging, selection of materials, and colors were all beautifully integrated. Josh even removed a small retaining wall that I had built and replaced it with a curved wall that completely changed the look of the front of our house. My wife and I are absolutely delighted with the results of this job and with the entire experience from the initial survey to the final installation. Ground Effects is a superb company! I am writing this two years after the installation (at the behest of Angies List) and I remain as impressed today as I was two years ago. The entire job looks like it was done last week. Not one paver has budged from its original position - this speaks highly of the competent manner in which the entire job was done. I would call this "old school engineering", an installation performed exactly as the books describe. As I indicated above, the thing that impressed us the most was the artistry that Ground Effects brought to the task. Pavers were laboriously cut and laid in a pattern that was pleasing to the eye and nicely integrated into the site. The basement no longer leaks - the landscaping performed by Ground Effects took care of that. The water from the cul-de-sac, which used to run down our driveway, is a non-problem. The engineered solution was perfect and unobtrusive. We paid a hefty sum for this work but don't regret one penny of the expense. Josh worked with us to keep the expense down by offering a variety of materials to select from. When finished, Ground Effects removed and installed a new retaining wall near the walk-out basement entrance, which better fit into the entire landscaping scheme. I welcome anybody to visit my property to see for themselves what a lovely job Ground Effects did in transforming my front yard. I only regret that I didn't take any "before" photos! Jerry W

Josh and his crew did an excellent and professional job. It was a big job and Josh was very involved to be sure that the work was done well. The job site was kept clean and the work done as quickly as the weather would permit. Josh was flexible to ensure that the final product would be something we would like and incorporated changes to make sure everything was done to our satisfaction. The work to be performed and all associated charges were fully explained. We felt his pricing was fair. We were kept informed during the job so that we knew what to expect when as the job progressed. It was a pleasure to work with Josh and everyone on his team and we would not hesitate to call on Ground Effects again, we recommend this company highly.

The entire job, from getting different options with estimates to finalizing plans and scheduling the work, then seeing it to completion with Ground Effects was a pleasant experience free from the expected hassles with delays, excuses and inferior craftmanship you come to expect in today's market. We were sorry to see Josh, Cliff and their crew leave as it is a pleasure to watch real pros do their work.

He was just as particular as we are about drainage, the aesthetics of the wall and steps, and about the overall structural integrity of the driveway/wall combo. He had the same concerns we had and that helped to put our minds at ease about such a large project. Josh and his crew were in and out in two days and the wall looks and functions great. No unknown price overruns; we did extend the wall with a normal change order but that did not extend the time budget at all. The price was very good compared to competitor's which didn't include some of the items for a higher total price. We will definitely call him back for our next landscaping project.
