Did not get much sediment out of water heater and recommend the water heater be replaced. I found out from two other plumbers later that it was not necessary to flush water heaters, that it was a waste of money and some plumbers used it as a way to just make money. Later Benjamin Franklin gave me a good deal on replacing my water heater with a six year warranty, but they went out of business a month later. They did not even get the required county permit. I had to get it through another company who was nice enough to check the installation and order the permit!

Generally, we were satisfied. There were additional charges. It took them more time. They didn't come prepared with the parts.

They were late coming here and refused to do the work that they committed to. They made promises and were very deceiptful. Then they said they would come back friday to complete. I have my family coming in for thanksgiving. They said they'd be here friday afternoon. They called me Friday and told me they were running late. Then they kept delaying. I found out that they weren't even in the area and had no plans to come here and they wouldn't be able to come until the next week. I can't use the master bathroom because they still need to replace the valve. When I spoke to one of their representatives last night I was very angry with them because this is unacceptable and very unprofessional.

They did a pretty good job. They connected a utility sink in the laundry room. It took a few hours for them to do the work with 2 plumbers.

No problems encountered. They came on schedule and efficiently did the work. And cleaned up after themselves.

They did an excellent job and I was very happy with their work. He knew what he was doing because he was in and out in about 45 minutes.

Angie's List needs to do a better job of advertising or promoting these merchants. Your rep said it's in the fine line about for labor cost only, not for material. Tell me, where does dispatch fee specified here, process of elimination? You won't want contractors to not disclose everything to clients; you better follow that rule too.

They did an excellent job. They were very polite and considerate and replaced the water regulator and added a whole house water filter.. and did a great professional job.

Was a wonderful experience. Plumber was able to minimally cut into walls found leak immediately and fixed in record time! Will use this company if need arises again!

We called another company on a weekend and they couldn't schedule us until the next Wednesday. So we checked on AL and saw the reviews for this business. They came out the same day and promptly went to work. The plumber told us what he was going to do and how much it would cost then went to work. After he finished, he cleaned the area and after we paid him, he left. He did what we wanted him to do...fix the leak

It went extremely well. Very cooperative. Got a lot done.. Very happy.

I purchased an Angies List deal of $99 for $200 in services. When BF carried out the estimate, I gave them two jobs to quote: a clogged drain and a leaky hose bib. The fellow who did the estimate told me they could do both jobs for just $59 (on top of the $99 I paid for the $200 deal). I scheduled the service based on the quote. I was given a service window of 8 am to noon. The BF plumber was a no show during the window. When I called to find out what had happened, I was told he was on his way, picking up parts, would be here soon, etc. The BF plumber finally called me an hour and a half after the window had closed to tell me he would come in another 25 minutes. I had to go to work, so I canceled the appointment. When I called BF to reschedule, I learned that the plumber didn't have the clogged drain on his service ticket. When I asked to see the service ticket I learned that the price quoted for the hose bib on the ticket was the price the estimator had quoted for the two jobs (bib and drain). To make matters worse, someone had forged my initials on the service ticket. BF told me they would deduct 10% from the price for the inconvenience of the no-show. To minimize cost and my future dealings with BF, I asked them to drop the bib repair and just fix the drain during the next service call. The second plumber showed up early, which is the only reason I didn't give BF an F for punctuality. He fixed the drain, which cost me $79, since I had already prepaid $99 for the $200 deal. BF never mentioned the 10% adjustment, nor did they offer to refund me the unused credit on the deal.

The plumber arrived within the promised window, and called earlier in the morning to let me know an approximate arrival time. I had already obtained a replacement garbage disposal, and he quickly installed that. The other problem was a clogged kitchen sink drain. He used the access port (unscrewed a cap) and snake and quickly cleared the clog. The service was good and prompt. However, the price seems to me to be quite high for the services performed. Altogether the visit took 1 hour and 5 minutes. The breakdown on the costs were: $58 for the "dispatch fee" ( basic charge to come to the house); $244 for the replacement of the garbage disposal (note, I provided the new disposal); and $189 for the clog clearing. I asked about the basis of the charges and was told that these were fixed fee services. I had used an Angie's List "Deal" coupon ($100 for $200 in service), so the total cost to me was $391. Even that seems quite high, certainly not a "deal". However, it is difficult for me to know whether overall these are standard and competitive rates or not. Overall, the basic services I needed were performed well, but I will not use this company again due to what seems to me to be excessive cost.

The plumber was right on time for this appointment. He was friendly and went right to work. He installed a new shower head. He unclogged the sink in our Master Bath. He fixed a leak at our kitchen faucet. He adjusted our water pressure. It was great to get all these little jobs out of the way. My husband and I do not have the "know-how" for doing any kind of plumbing, so we were very grateful for this service call.

This was my first time using Angies List and Superior's Benjamin Franklin Plumbing. I was scheduled for 12 PM - 4 PM and the plumbers arrived just after 12. It was great that they arrived on the early side so that I wouldn't have to wait around all afternoon. It was a father son team that arrived to perform the services. Kenny and his son Cameron were outstanding! They were courteous and professional. Kenny knows his stuff and I plan to use them again based on the experience he provided me. I could not be happier! We ended up not using them and have requested a refund. We showed them a Big Deal offer of a competitor that was charging $199 and that included a new toilet and removal of the old one and they would not bring their price down seeing as if we already had all new equipment ready to install.

He was a friendly and congenial man. The only thing I would object to is the showerhead he installed. It still kind of drips.
