This was a very pleasant experience conducted in 3 parts: a. Received an estimate based on the estimator actually comming out to see the situation and making cost saving recommendations. Also recommended Carrier over Trane since Carrier had 5 year longer Warranty and cost only $39 more! b) Received 2nd visit from the Bill of Material estimator once I told them they had the job. c) On 8/29/2011 the system was totally installed and working. The installer arrived at 0800 as promised and was complete by 4:30 p.m. He was very efficient, totally removed old materials, and did a professional job. They were $1,300 less than ARS estimate for the same unit.

The only complaint I have about them is that price wise they are a little high compared to the others in our area. I would contact them again. I have tried to get in touch with them through online for another job that I have but I haven't heard from them as yet.

These men went above and beyond the call of duty. They were very professional and considerate of our staff working. My only hesitation with calling them was the comments other people made about their pricing - I tell if they are high(which I don't believe they are) they are worth EVERY penny. In fact they are such a stellar outfit we also asked them to look at our A/C problem.

This company was good, but I never received anything in writting. They even gave me follow up calls. I chose a different company because they gave me everything in writting from the start. The other company also included in the price a 5 yr labor warrenty and a one year maintence warrenty. Those little extra's made the difference.

We wouldn't use anybody else. Their price is within the guidelines. They did excellent in quality. They cleaned up extremely well after themselves. They were courteous and very polite. I couldn't have asked for anybody better.

Extremely professional service. Good advice from the heating and A/C tech rep. Capable technicians, who are thoroughly disciplined and always polite. Daily clean-up after work. Thus far, we are very happy with the new system (Carrier brand) and with Appleton Campbell's heating/A/C installation work. This is not the cheapest company around, but you're paying for quality work. The only minor negative comment I'd have is that a plumbing inspection was included in our service contract (no additional cost, but...). While the plumbers knew their jobs thoroughly, this clearly was seen as a money-maker, and the "recommended" list of fixes was excessive. None really needed to be done--and we declined to have them done. We did have one minor, necessary bit of plumbing work done--a toilet handle replaced--for which I found the charge excessive (given that we'd just had the service inspection...they didn't have the exact kind of handle on the truck, so we got whacked for a second visit, the cost of which was ten times the cost of the actual handle in a hardward store--a device I could have and should have installed myself). I don't want to discourage people from doing business with this company--I think it's a first-rate operation, overall. But I would take "recommended repairs" with a grain of salt on the plumbing side. It really seemed to me like a different operation. I'll gladly use Appleton Campbell for heating and A/C work--the company's great in that sphere, but I'll stick with my old, sensibly-priced plumber for most plumbing work. Should I have an emergency, though, I may test the responsiveness of their service contract on the plumbing side...just to see if the service contract means anything. It really is a shame to me that I have to criticize this fine company in any respect, but, including the service contract, we laid out about 13k--and shouldn't have been gouged over a toilet handle.

I had heat downstairs (gas) so I had time to get some quotes and talk to a few companies before deciding on Appleton Campbell. They were very responsive and punctual, always calling before they showed up. When Eric, the sales person initially met with us, he approached the job from a whole house perspective rather than just replacing the upstairs unit. We wanted a humidifer installed and the other companies told us it wasn't possible since the air handler was in the attic and not heated. Eric suggested installing one on the existing unit in the basement, something we didn't know was possible since it was already installed and a few years old. He spent a great deal of time with us, answering all our questions. I didn?t feel pressured at all. On the day of the installation Eric and the installation crew showed up first thing in the morning and began work after Eric fully explained what was to be accomplished. They too explained everything they were doing and sometimes even when I didn?t ask. They cleaned up everywhere and did a really nice job staying until after 6 in the evening. They were in no hurry to leave until I was fully satisfied and had instructions for my new system. I probably could have done a little better price wise, but I felt it was just as important to have a good installation job and from what I know and have seen, Appleton Campbell is top notch!

The work the did was good and the system works fine now.

I had a whole house clog in my sewer which I had attempted to fix myself. I pulled the toilet so I could put a snake down the sewer pipe but the snake would only go a short distance down the pipe. I tried to snake from the roof but never hit anything but water. I called Appleton Campbell about 9 in the morning and they made an appointment for 11. The technician arrived on time and tried to clear the clog from the toilet pipe but could only get a short distance down the pipe. He called for some help and two other techs were there in 15 minutes. They put the powered snake on the roof and ran it down the vent and cleared the clog. They were there about an hour and a half.

They stayed around to fix the problem rather than leaving and coming back when a piece was not there. They are always very courteous and clean. I really trust them. I would recommend to others.

They're coming out to fix my garbage disposal. They do an excellent job, show up on time, and get everything done quickly. I'd recommend them to others.
