Appleton Campbell, Inc.

This company was the worst. For $477.00 they spent 40 minutes repairing a pipe. They declared that 2 other pipes had to be replaced as they were against code. This was going to cost an additional $477, times 2, for a total of $954.00. A later plumber told me the work at issue was to code. Appleton Campbell said another pipe problem would cost an additional $477.00. The technicians left my house without functioning hot water. I was, days later, to discover that they had turned off the fuses. When faucets were turned on after their visit the water virtually exploded on walls and floors. My conclusion was that this is a company that is only concerned with maximum money for minimum work and could not be trusted with the truth. Let the buyer beware.

Note: Work not yet complete as we haven't moved in... We have used Appleton Campbell for many years. We are now moving to Culpeper County and are so very happy that they will be putting in a new HVAC system for us and servicing our system for many years to come. I have found them to be honest and hardworking with great customer service.

I was not able to use Appleton Campbell's services because the deal on the house I was trying to buy fell through but I'm rating them very high because they were very understanding and professional during my 'ordeal'. They came out to the house 3 times at my request to give me quotes on a new hot water heater as well as a complete rough in for a master bath. They met all the 'demands' that the VA required in a timely manner and followed up very quickly to every call/concern I had about this process. I will use Appleton Campbell in the future!

Called 4th of July weekend, Saturday morning- new pump was installed Saturday afternoon. We were away- sister watching the house with no water to flush toilets, wash etc. We were sooo thankful.

Well, if these guys didn't turn out to be Northern Virginia's best-kept secret! Had an unbelieveably low estimate, and the installation was the next morning. Everyone was extremely pleasant and professional, and the unit size, which I was afraid might be too small to do the job in this hot weather, is perfect. They came extra-early so that I could be at work by 3, and even left me with some lovely parting gifts! I highly recommend this company!!! Note to sales rep with the OTHER company that showed up: Never assume women are stupid and gullible. This woman does mass spectrometry for a living! :)

Jerry did a good job of fixing my problem and he was very polite! Your admin told me he would be at my house at 2pm so I took off work early and at 2:15pm when I called he was in Marshall. You should have called me to let me know that I would have worked longer at my office. He didn't get to my house until around 3:45pm. The flat rate you charged seemed high to me, so I will probably shop around if I have another plumbing issue. Thanks, Tracy G

I feel so lucky to have found this company. Mr. Evans, my Salesman and Project Manager was phenomenal! He provided me with a thorough and fair estimate and he made me feel comfortable with our decision to use Appleton Campbell. He also recommended one of the best individuals I have met in a long time to take care of my duct cleaning prior to the install. (A+ duct cleaning) The installation team exceeded my expectations, they were very concerned about keeping their space clean and took a lot of pride in their work. I wouldn't have ever thought I would be comfortable leaving strangers in my home to go out for a walk or milk for my baby but I was confident with them. I can not express my happiness enough for making what I thought would be a painful and long process good for my family and I. From the word go, the people who called to schedule, the Engineer, the Technicians, everyone was top notch and invested! It is no wonder they have been in business so long.

Great communications from the very beginning with the dispatcher. Even got a call the day of service with the status of the technician. A quality installation job with no mess left behind. Prompt follow up from the office to make sure the job was done to my satisfaction - exceeding expectations. I've been pleasantly surprised and have turned to Appleton for my HVAC service as well. Very courteous and honest people. We were instantly impressed with their professionalism, and this continued throughout the entire job. Scott and Jerry are great! Willing to answer ALL of our questions and meet the needs of our job AND our insurance company. Gave us straight answers and really researched the problem until we were all comfortable with moving forward!!! We would, without hesitation, rehire and recommend them. Thank you guys!!!

Nothing was left, all clean after their work.. They replace the unit, really good work coordinated everything. They are a team that works together. They had a team that took it all out and made sure what need to be replaced, than they would bring out the new unit. We had given them a down payment. They had a person that came out checked evidencing, making sure that everything was running corrected. He then gave the final report, gave the final payment. They gave us options, to use on the project, so it was our choice. We had the new unit in two days.
