Description of Work: Wolak Interiors were the 2nd contractors I asked for a quote to repair wood rot around my house. 1st contractor said $2k to replace all the wood. Wolak gave a quote of $600 so I hired them. Not only did they replace all the bad wood, but they also threw in a new door for my shed. They were prompt, friendly and did an outstanding job. I highly recommend them.

Description of Work: Wolak Interiors replaced the existing wall and floor tile in my home. This included removing the existing window frame, tile, wall behind tile, and sub-floor; installing new sub-floor, walls, tile, new toilet and ceiling fan; and re-installing sink and other bathtub appurtenances. Val did an incredible job with the tile and the outcome met all expectations. The work was completed in the general schedule proposed by the contractor. I was away on vacation during most of the job and had no worries about the contractor continuing work and finishing while I was gone. I recommend asking for Val with any tile work performed by Wolak Interiors.

Description of Work: They installed an exterior wood door outside my boiler room. I purchased all the materials. It went OK. Scheduling was great. It did take a little longer than anticipated. He seemed pretty knowledgeable.

Description of Work: The deal was to remodel a bathroom for $4000. This did not include tile, plumbing supplies, vanity, drill bits, paint, wood, disposal of prior vanity, shower door or anything other than labor. They charged me $100 for using the city dump, $250 because they needed to alter the plumbing (I paid for the plumbing supplies as well), I paid for several drill bits because he kept breaking them on the tile. He contracted out to other people who were supposed to be here for delivery of my vanity but who instead went to work on another job. I almost had to pay additional shipping charges for redelivery!! The dumped debris including plastic all over my decks and yard and my hot tub cover is covered in plaster debris.

Description of Work: Wolak interiors installed 3 ceiling fans. One was already prewired and 2 had to be wired an holes cut into the ceiling. Mr. Wolak came a few days before to check out the job and then sent Casey Mingo, the electrician that he uses on many of his jobs to do the work. Chris called, gave me an estimate and we set the day for him to come and do the work. Casey came on time and went to work. I could not be there that day but my adult son was at the home. As these were bedrooms, he covered the beds to keep them clean and installed the ceiling fans. Casey did a very good job with the installation, my only complaint was when he removed the light switch covers to do the electrical install, he damaged the wall and there are holes in the drywall. I would have thought he would have notified Mr Wolak so repairs could be made but I still have not heard from him. So I will call and ask Mr. Wolak to make the repairs. The other issue was the price confusion. I had paid via a real deal for the installation of the 3 fans. I knew the electrical would be extra, but Casey tried to also charge me for the installation of the fans as it seemed Mr. Wolak did not tell him I had already paid for that portion of the install. Casey did call Mr. Wolak and he must have not remembered but at the end all was worked out. Besides the small holes by the light switches the install was professionally done.

Description of Work: I contacted Mark and received a prompt response. He came over to assess the job, building new double doors for an outside storage building. The job was scheduled at my |convenience. It was postponed once due to rainy weather, but was rescheduled . The carpenter arrived close to the scheduled time and worked on the building by himself all day. He was courteous and hard working. The work looked good on my initial inspection. However, after he left I did discover a problem with the fit of the double doors. I called Mark. The carpenter came back the next day and rectified the problem.

Description of Work: I initially set up the visit for June 2nd and took a half day off from work. The worker did not show up. Days later, I received a phone call and they wanted to set up a date and time for the work. I told them Monday you were supposed to come out. They looked and realized they missed their appointment. The worker arrived promptly Saturday and quickly fixed my misaligned front door. I also asked him to install a brand new handle set as well. The worker didn't seemed overly confident installing the handle set and experienced several set-backs. At one point, I though he had destroyed a lock component and he ended up with left-over parts. At the end of the day, the handle set was installed but I don't feel overly confident about the work.

Description of Work: Repaired and replaced tile on stoop of walk in shower in master bathroom. |Job seemed to go smoothly. They arrived relatively on time and work progressed just about on the schedule that had been outlined to me when they came to inspect what the job entaled.

Description of Work: Chris came on Memorial Day and installed a ClosetMaid system in our Master Closet. He also hung a new exterior door in our garage and put a new door knob on door leading to garage. Chris did a great job! He had to improvise to make the closet come out correctly, because of the design that Closet Maid drew up for us, and the parts they shipped us. He was willing to think outside the box to make it work. There were a few scheduling issues due to the fact that we were having our master bath renovated and we had to schedule around that work and Mr. Wolak's workload, but all came out well.

Description of Work: "Mark came out to provide an estimate very quickly and the work was scheduled within a few days. Drywall in one room needed repairs and kitchen and dining room ceiling needed painting. Two workers, a painter and plasterer, arrived right on time. They were both personable and professional. They both worked all day and were skilled in their trade. Despite challenges found in my 60 year old house when the drywall was removed, and many layers of previous paint , they did an excellent job. Mark called the next morning to check on the work and sent his painter back the same day to touch up a few spots . I would definitely use Wolak interiors again."
