Joshua was on time and asked questions, so he knew exactly what I was expecting.  He was very professional and plastered and caulked the bathroom making it ready to paint.  Looks very nice!

$2,200

My house flooded and I hired Wolak to install laminated flooring.  I was told that it would take 2 days to do the entire house for
$2,200.  I told him I still had furniture in the house, but he didn?t tell his men.  I had to pay Wolak another $800.00 for the men to move the furniture outside in a tent. They tore down the back of the tent leaving my things expose to the rain and the street.  I had a new computer, laptop, 2 new televisions and much more.  It rained so hard that the boxes to the TVs started to sag. I had to stay up all night to make sure no one would take my things.  The person that installed floor didn?t know what he was doing and wasted boxes of flooring.  So many of the boards were damaged that Mr. Wolak and I agree that it would take weeks again to just pull up the damaged
floor and install new one.

I had purchased  door frame to use as my baseboard.  The worker told me I couldn't do that and he called Mr. Wolak.  I told Wolak to tell his worker to install the door frame in the common areas first, hall living room, guest room first, and save the rest for the kitchen and bathroom.  I was ill and I gave my card to the worker to purchase some small pieces of would to connect to the door frame.  Don't ever do this!  The worker came back with base board.  I told him to take it back, and he said, "Mark told me to buy and I did what he said. "  I called Wolak and told him to make his worker take back the board and he did.  The next day I told the work what he did was wrong and he told me to call the police then.  He stabbed a hole in two boards and he placed one in my closet.  I still have the others.

Again I told Jack and Paul that it was the only door frame and use it in the common area and that I would purchase cheaper board for the closet.  I went back to the store to see if there were pieces I missed.  When I returned they had put the frame everywhere, even in the closets.  Bi-fold door will not work with the door frame it is too thick; now I have to pull all the frame out of the closets.  Wolak did purchase boards close to what I had purchased, but not enough to finish the bathroom and kitchen; the places I told them to save the frame for.  If the workers would have done what I said, Wolak wouldn?t have had  to pay for anything and my common area would
look great.

The workers before Wolak  left some tools behind and now they are gone.  I told Wolak and he said that I was not telling the truth..  I
told him if they come back looking for them that I would give them his number.

I had to put signs up in my bathroom to tell Wolak men to clean the pooh out of the toilet when they use it, clean the urine off the set, don't flush the hand towels down the toilet, and to clean up the dirt they left around the sink.  Called Wolak and told them about it, the next day it was worst.  I put up another sign saying,  If you don't clean up your mess, I would go on Angie's list and tell what was done and who was working that day.  It stopped.

If you leave anything out, it's like you gave them permission to use it.  They used my brand new wash cloths and dish towels.  One worker would go through a roll of paper towel in two days.

I could hear them calling me fat and nasty, and I shouldn't be telling them what to do, they were the professionals.  There was very little respect for me and my things.

One would go in my cabinets and use my glasses and leave them and soda cans around my house, I had plastic cups for them to use.

They left the tent and the porch a mess.  There were nails, food wrappers,  everywhere.  I have grandchildren that visit.  I called Wolak and he came over to clean it up the nail and he said he would have one of his men come by and clean up the mess they left in the tent; no one should up.  It took me days to clean up.

I had a Sony Trinitron and it had a better picture than the new TV; they dropped it, put a cover over it, when Mark asked them about it,
they said I did, even though I am walking with a walk or a cane.  Mark and Josh cleaned it up.

We agreed that I would pay for the new flooring and he would pay me back in a months? time, he gave me half back and it has been months since I heard from him.

Mark sent Paul to install the new vinyl flooring; he had never installed vinyl flooring. They took down all the doors including closet
doors and they have not put one door back up.  The closet doors are missing all the hardware to reinstall them    There are several
gaps, he placed the same design of the vinyl together; twelve in my room alone.  There was glue on the tile; I went to Home Depot and pick up the correct solvent.  It didn?t work fast enough for them and they purchased Goof Off.  It went between the gaps and dissolved the glue and tiles popped up, it discolored the color all the vinyl, and caused the gaps to get bigger. Mr. Wolak feels that he should not have to pay for a new floor because he believes that I should have allowed him to take up the first floor and reinstall. I had pods in front of my home and I had to get them off the street. He knew I was working with a time line.   The pods were taken
away and I had to pay $2.000 to get them back. The city fifteen days to get the pods off the street, then the police gave me two day.  I had to hire someone to move the things back into house with no floors and doors.   He paid his workers for not installing my floors incorrectly.

So far a $2,200 floor has cost me over $5,800 and it does not include having to hire someone to move all my things out of the house again to install new flooring.     Wolak wanted to pay for the flooring by letting him install my kitchen cabinets, he hired people that didn't know what they were doing to install my floors, there was no way I would let him install my cabinets.

When I finally broke down and told Wolak my complaints, he said that his worker never like me and didn't want to work for me, I still have the email.  I didn?t pay them to like me, I was paying them to do a job then way I wanted it done.  But even if you don?t like the person, you should do your job and do it correctly.  So far this $2,200 floor has cost me over $5,000 and I still don't have a floor.

"Dear [member name removed] I am very sympathetic to the situation with flooding that happened at the customers house. The information presented here is however incorrect and untrue, and can be corroborated by installers who worked on the job and are still with our company as well as by those who are no longer with us and have no interest in this case. First day the workers started the customer screamed at them and disrespected them for no reason. Floor was installed properly, they had many damaged pieces in original boxes as the workers tried to inspect each piece it was impossible because of poor lighting and the clutter in the house. We agreed to move furniture as it was not removed from the house per original contract and I informed the customer about not taking responsibility if old furniture or old tvs fall apart while carrying and the member agreed with me. I offered to replace damaged pieces of floor but the customer refused, even though it was an easy task.Again I agreed to install new vinyl floor on top as we did, and I sent two checks to the customer to cover the cost.(we have copies of them) The customer purchased a coupon of 3 painters per day(up to 24 hrs total) and we provided one painter for 3 full days(24 hrs) I tried to explain to the member that painter is finished if she was willing to continue at additional cost, member refused stating that we were supposed to paint entire house, and we have to. Being a person that the customer is most important to our company, we provided additional 16 hours of labor($500 at coupon rate) to finish painting. My installers were instructed by the member to install door casings as baseboards and the member refused explanation it was a door trim and you don't install it on the floor(we have wasted apprx 16 hrs of labor-$600 by doing that) I regret being sympathetic and agreeing to do the work according to the customers demands. The great reviews that we get from our Angies members is the best proof of high quality of craftsmanship that we provide. We value our customers dearly and treat them with utmost respect. Thank you"

Eddie spent three days painting a few interior surfaces for us and went above and beyond by also touching up doors and trim. Fantastic, professional looking job.  Highly recommended, we will have Wolak Interiors back again to finish some cosmetic touch-ups to our interior spaces prior to selling our house.

After I purchased the deal they came out and gave me a quote with how long the work would take, as well as the man hours. They gave us a quote and we needed the job done before the wedding we were going to have at our home. Some days one employee would come out and other days a couple of employees came out. It was unprofessional that there was no information from the owner of the company and the employee. They tried to also get more money out of us than what they were here for working. We also had to provide them with equipment too. We had a steamer for the wallpaper removal and they didn’t even have one.  I can see spots on the wall where they went in too deep and it left gouges. We made sure someone was at home at all times while they were here.

"Dear member. I am somewhat confused with this review, as throughout entire project I only heard how happy you were with entire project. I provided an estimate on top of the coupon that you purchased just as you asked us to do more work for you. Thank you for the review and wish you the best on your new marriage. Mark Wolak"

I was very pleased with the experience I had with Wolak Interiors, LLC. Mark, the owner, came to the house promptly after my call for an estimate for the work.  He arrived for our appointment exactly at the agreed time to look at what was needed in order to provide an estimate.  I asked that materials be included in the estimate in order that the correct amount of wood was available. Mark provided an estimate via e-mail on the 12th and his workman, Chris, did the work on the 18th.  All work was completed quickly and professionally in a manner very much to my satisfaction.  I will use Wolak Interiors, LLC again because they perform a variety of work.  Having seen what they can do, how the work site is maintained, and knowing Mark is trustworthy and provides quality work at reasonable prices, I highly recommend them.

Wolak Interiors did an outstanding job! Mr. Wolak contacted me almost immediately to schedule an appointment, during which he was honest about the work that needed to be done and only days later had my estimate. Very fair pricing! His team was polite, punctual, cleaned up after themselves, but most important to me, my bathroom is put back together and works! I highly recommend Wolak Interiors.

I bought the $1,499 for a General Contractor for a Week (40 hours) for repairing outside trim work, rebuilt the front porch railing and trim painting.   They accomplished the work, but I spent too much of my time keeping track of their hours and their workers.

They were going to replace the tiles in the bathroom. They told me to do that they needed to charge me extra costs outside of the deal I had already purchased. Because of this miscommunication on both ends I am going with another company.

"Dear [member name removed]. It was a pleasure meeting you and your wife. We encourage our customers to call in and ask questions before purchasing any deals as they are limited to certain amount of work or in this case space.(full bathroom renovation up to 8x8ft). It is usually specified in the fine print. Thank you for your interest in our company and hope you succeed with your project. Mark Wolak"

I have hired Wolak Interiors in the past and as always I was very pleased with their service as I don't have much time to take care of my rental property. I was also happy to learn they could provide professional housecleaning after they finished with repairs. Cleaning lady was very courteous and very professional. I was happy with everyone working on my property. I will definitely use them in the future and recommend them to all my friends. Thanks Mark.

It worked out great. The owner of the company came and gave us our estimate, looked at some other things in our house and he had a worker come in and did the work for us, the manual labor part. It was just very helpful to have him look at some other things for us. It was 3 hours of work for $99, it would have cost as more if it wasn't a Big Deal. Sometimes it was difficult to get a hold of him or get it scheduled.

Really great job all around. We picked Mark based on the very positive reviews on Angie's List and the very reasonable quote that he provided. He and his team did an amazing job on our bathroom. It looks great. We ran into an unexpected problem a few days in to the job because there was water damage to the subfloor due to a long-standing leak from underneath the shower tiles. They took care of the problem and didn't try to hose us with excessive extra charges that were not included in the estimate, which we really appreciated. We could tell that they really took great care to get everything done the right way, rather than just getting it all done as fast as possible or for as little cost as possible. Mark was also incredibly responsive to emails, calls and texts and was very patient with fielding our questions and concerns. We would highly recommend Wolak Interiors to any Angie's List members. We also plan on using Mark for an additional bathroom project in the near future.

I did read the other negative reviews and met with Mr. Wolak explaining that I was worried about what others had wrote and he said, that this would not be an issue with my job and some people are too picky with small issues. I told him that I did not want to write a bad review and that I would be fair with my review.

I will start with the good by saying the owner was easy to work with and the workers were on time. The price was reasonable and my front door was repaired at no charge. I have about $10,000 worth on work that I wanted WOLAK INTERIORS LLC to do but decided I wanted see what type of work his company would do first before spending a large amount of money. On the first day, one painter showed up telling me he didn't have a long enough ladder and would not be able paint the top half of my home, I told him he could use my ladder which he did. The painters did a good job painting the outside trim of my house and were told by my wife to be careful around the flowers and it would be okay if the ladder had to lean on the bushes. To our surprise, the flowers
were damaged and caulking tubes and cigarette butts were left in my front yard.

A poor job was done repairing the drywall in my bedroom ceiling, which had to be done over which was much better. I found two windows that was done very badly along with a crack in the brick on the outside of my home which was supposed to be repaired but wasn't.

[First Post Read Update Below]
I also discovered that workers who repaired the drywall ceiling in my sunroom covered up a ceiling speaker, which should be on the outside, but it?s now inside of the wall. My wife was looking for one of her raised garden bed panels, which was in the sunroom and we discovered that the worker used it for some reason and it?s now inside of the ceiling with the speaker. Now, the ceiling will have to be opened up to get the items out and repaired. I have no idea why someone would do this and still haven't heard back from Mr. Wolak who informed me that he would take care of it because there's a guarantee.

[UpDate] 12/16/2013
This is an update to the above post about WOLAK INTERIORS LLC and my sunroom ceiling with the speaker and raised garden panel being inside of the wall. I just found photos which were taken before the workers started on the ceiling and it's showing that the speaker and raised garden panel was already inside of the ceiling and was not placed there by the workers. I publicly apologize to Mr. Wolak and his worker for my review and will be contacting him to also apologize. I will have to hire someone to get the items out of the ceiling and redo it. My advice to anyone having work done on your home is to take photos and keep them in a file somewhere for reference and to check and review the work before writing a negative review and paying the balance due like I did.

[UpDate] 12/18/2013
Workers returned to repair the crack in the brick on the outside of my home today and also the windows. They also got the speaker out of the wall, I apologized to him and said it was my doing and not his. They were on time and professional and did a great job.
