My wife and I hired this company to replace the existing grass (weeds) in our front yard because they had been in business here in Norfolk for many years, the quote was reasonable, and the owner appeared to know what he was talking about as we discussed with him what we should expect out of the product, our responsibilities with respect to watering, maintenance etc., and whether or not the fescue he recommended was the right choice over other type grasses. He told us the sod would be fine under the tree and we had no reason not to believe him. His crew showed up as expected to strip the existing yard. While not terribly impressed with the work done stripping the yard, and even though I had to touch up some areas of the yard with a tiller to even them out, I was assured by the owner that everything was fine. The day came for sod installation (I was at work, as was my wife). I spoke with the owner and asked him to be at my home when I got home from work so that I could personally walk through the finished job with him. He was at my house watering as I drove up. The lawn looked great and I was happy. The owner did point out one area where sod that was clearly a few days old had been used. I told him I didn't particularly care for it and he quickly told me he would have it replaced. So far so good. The sod was replaced quickly, but with a lot of small odds and ends. I kept my hopes up. We paid $1020.00 on 21 April 2010. The real problems started within a couple months of installation. Despite watering daily, and careful mowing and edging, the lawn progressively started dying and being over-run by weeds. The sod under the front yard tree was dying despit his pre-sale assurance that their sod would be fine. The owner and I spoke a couple times on the phone and I also left a message at their Norfolk office that I was having problems. The owner insisted that the sod under the tree was dying because we didn't have the branch removed that we asked him about initially. Nothing could be further from the truth. I asked him to meet me at my home so that he could see in person and with me what our concerns were. HE WOULD NOT MEET ME AT MY HOME DESPITE HIS NORFOLK OFFICE BEING NO MORE THAN TWO MILES FROM MY HOUSE. I went to his office and this time he simply said he would have nothing more to do with it. Naturally, we exchanged words because I had now been completely sacked by this guy and knew then that his word and work were no good. The front strip is now a half-dead bed of weeds, the majority of grass under the tree is dead, and the remaining areas are a thin weed-laden shell of the product we purchased. This guy will never again set foot on my property. Steer clear.

They did a good job. Really don't know how to grade on the price because we used the first company we called. Professionalism was superb and I would use them again.
