Bill Watson arrived on time, gave honest quotes, had patience to work with our schedule, and everything was installed to the finest detail. The quality of work was exceptional, and the prices were the most reasonable of all of the quotes we had - five other contractors couldn't compare.

Everyone did a wonderful job. I had the Angie's list deal so I was able to get the walk to my door stamped and it looks like pavers. My husband wanted things wider than I had initially spoken to Bill about and drew a design that Bill adapted easily. We also wanted some curves and asked for changes after the initial digging and removal was done and Bill came out and took care of it immediately. After all the work was completed, the guys even came out with extra soil to fill in the edges and make it look absolutely gorgeous. They even wound my hose back up when they cleaned up :) Highly, highly recommended

Outstanding responsiveness and quality. They recommended a few variations to my plans which were exactly correct. This was the most competitive offer I received of 3, and the results were exactly what I had hoped for.

Weather was a issue, but Mr Watson and I talked when it looked like the weather was going to be better and then not. He always kept in touch. He said the city of norfolk want a 10ft drive-way, which was going to be hard. And he did not push the issue about a little more money then contract stated. But I felted more concrete, so we agree on a little more money. His crew was outstanding. Worked very hard and clean up any mess made. Drive- way looks great and Mr Watson was here the whole time drive way was being pour and he put his finishing touches on it. His cost was very reasonable compare to the other top concrete people. So after 2 weeks of weather issue it is done and can't wait to drive on it.

No response to my phone calls or email requests. I can't rate the business on price or quality because they won't give me an opportunity to use their services. I thought it was unusual for a company so highly rated to not respond to my initial requests, so I gave it more time and sent another email and left another voice mail. No response at all. I'm left wondering if the company is still in business.

The overall experience was outstanding. Bill and his crew were on schedule, on budget and did all as promised. The bottom line is if I had to do it all over again I would hire Virginia Beach Hardscapes!! I am submitting before and after photos...

Overall, Bill was friendly, thorough and quick to make appointment for estimate. He arrived on time and gave a very nice quote with everything explained. I eventually went with another company only because I liked their choices of products more.

William was prompt in responding to my online inquiry about the service and was quick to come out and give me an estimate. Price was very good. Service included some excavation. William worked with me to get the layout I wanted and adapted quickly to some last minute changes. Service was performed professionally and to my satisfaction.

Bill and his crew poured a 20' x 26' garage slab, two car driveway and two walkways for us in a very efficient manner. They came highly recommended from a friend and we completely agree with that recommendation. Great company to work with!

The crew arrived early in the morning and removed the old concrete sidewalk. They prepped the ground, installed a base and border and installed the new pavers in a random pattern. They were quiet, neat, and cleaned up the site when finished. It got dark very early and it was chilly, but the crew stayed until the job was perfect. Because the old sidewalk was sloped incorrectly, rain would puddle in the middle. Bill made sure that the new pavers sloped correctly. We are very happy with the new sidewalk. Our neighbors and relatives have asked for business cards from Va. Beach Hardscapes. Next job - the driveway! I will be calling Bill.

They did an excellent job. They were very responsive to some follow-up calls. They were a pleasure to work with. There was some work that wasn’t quite up to standards, and he agreed and came back out and fixed it all to our satisfaction.

After getting multiple estimates and searching through Angie's List I chose VB Hardscapes based off of past reviews as well as price. They came in cheaper than the competition. They scheduled a date and called ahead for the work. The showed up on the 11th of March and proceeded to remove the old driveway, taking care with regard to the sprinkler system pipes that lay underneath. The second day it rained so they had already planned on not being there. The 13th of March came and they told me exactly what time they would be there with the concrete and poured it. I have to say that this has been the absolute easiest experience I have ever had with a contractor. Bill Watson runs a good company and answered all the questions I came up with before, during, and after the project.. Great customer service!!! I would use him again and strongly recommend him.

Nothing but great things to say about Bill and his crew. He came with a great recommendation from a friend and he gave us a competitive estimate for brushed/stamped concrete and pavers. We opted to go with the pavers. He showed up on time for the demolition of the old deck and knocked it out quick. He came back after the pool guys replaced the liner, steps and plumbing. He did a great job coordinating with the pool guys at various stages of the project and he actually fixed a few of their mistakes. They installed a concrete base for the bull nose and then installed approximately 1000 s.f. of pavers around the pool and two sidewalks connected to the porch. They did a top notch job and we are very happy with their work. We highly recommend Bill and his crew and we plan on using them in the future to rehab our driveway.

Bid for work promised came in on budget. Work was completed on time as initially stated by owner Mr.Bill Watson. The work area was cleaned up on a daily basis and work area was kept tidy during the work day. Work started on Monday and finished on a Friday. They did an outstanding job. The final product exceeded our expectations.

Hire this company! Our experience was wonderful, this company is top notch. We called Bill and he came out and gave us an estimate on the weekend. Out of the three we got he was the most reasonable, he was very friendly, he knew exactly what he was talking about. He dropped off a book and samples so we could decide on how we wanted it to look. He gave us a date, but we wanted it sooner, so he said if he had a cancelation he'd call us and that is just what he did. Bill came out on the weekend and brought the equipment and items he needed to do our job. He is the kind of person who treats you right. He answers all of your questions and believe me doing this for the first time we had a lot. His crew is very nice and they clean up just like he said they would. We've had a lot of problems with other contractors in the past, but Bill is not like that. He is a straight up guy and very true to his word and does what he says he's going to do. We love our patio and would hire him again in a heart beat! And we did. We had him do our driveway and walkway too! Hire him and his company, it will be the best decision you ever make.

The crew arrived on time and began excavation. When I got home from work, they had removed all of the old paving materials and stacked them neatly in the yard as I had requested. I noticed that the crew hadn't included the trash can area in the prep. I called Bill and he assured me that it would be taken care of. The next day, the crew finished the prep, including the trash can pad. That night, it rained. Bill contacted me to explain that they could put down the pavers but couldn't finish if the ground was wet.The weather cleared and they laid the pavers. On the fourth day, the crew finished and cleaned up. We are so happy with this company that we plan to hire them again to pave the front walkway. They were professional, courteous, tidy, and finished on time.

I am so happy that I got rid of the crumbling slab I had in the back yard. I looked for Virginia Beach Hardscapes because someone else in the neighborhood used them for an extensive job (driveway, walkway, stamped and stained concrete with address imprinted) and they did an awesome job. I walked my dogs by the area while the team were working and saw that they were all about doing a good job. The reviews for the company on Angie's List convinced me to use them. I am glad I did. Wonderful job overall.

We called Bill in mid-August to request an estimate. Although he was on vacation with his family in Disney World at the time, Bill took the call, explained his situation, and told us he would phone as soon as he returned home. He was good to his word. The return call came in just a few days, and Bill arrived at our home to provide an estimate right at the agreed upon time. He listened to our ideas, provided a few of his own, and left us with a written estimate and drawing of the proposed work. Right up front we were told that Bill and his crew were steadily booked and would not be available till the end of September, but we were very pleased with the estimated price for the work and called the next day to schedule with VB Hardscapes. Bill kept in touch over the next five weeks, and just as he said, the third week of September he called to let us know that work would begin the next week. Work began on a Tuesday, and when I arrived home from work, Bill and his crew were already well on their way to preparing the entire area for the concrete pour the next day. All the workers were polite and professional. Concrete was poured the next day, and the crew stayed till after five to make sure all areas were smooth and properly finished. And even though the job was technically finished by the second day (what a nice surprise!), Bill returned on the third morning to inspect the work and to make sure all was cleaned up. While my husband is particularly happy about the extra parking, I am absolutely thrilled with the sidewalk and enlarged patio. Bill and his crew did a great job, and it was especially nice to be treated as "customers who mattered." Bill made us feel he truly appreciated our business, which is wonderful.

Bill came over and gave us an estimate on how much it would be to put a 4" thick 13'x20' concrete patio in our backyard. He was on time and very professional. He told us they could start work at the end of the week and on Wednesday his guys showed up to dig out the dirt and on Thursday they were here with the concrete. They were done in about two hours. All the guys were very friendly and professional!! I will definitely call them again if we ever need concrete.

The team arrived when scheduled, worked thru the day removing the grass, grading the area and laying the base material for the patio. The pavers were selected and he picked them up and delivered the next day. They spent the second day installing the pavers and finishing up. The patio was perfectly installed. We are very happy with the results, and would highly recommend this company.

Excellent. They were able to start and finish the job earlier than expected. Very professional, high quality work. Fair price. Nice details in the design showed they really were interested in handing us a good product. Use the phone number and call, though. The owner has trouble keeping up with the email given the positive reviews on Angies List.

Bill and his crew performed this job in an extremely timely and professional manner. I am very pleased with the final product and I will not hesitate to call this company in the future for any work of this nature. I can't say enough positive things about the workers and the job they did. They were courteous, hard working and very thorough.
