Bill and his crew exceeded our expectations. He was very pleasant to work with, patient as we explored various options and plans, and completed the work timely and professionally. We obtained several estimates from some of the bigger concrete companies and initially were a little reluctant since Bill's company was smaller and seemed not to have as many options to choose from. However, Bill was able to get exactly the pattern that we wanted, even though it wasn't one that he typically used. His price was also lower than the bigger companies. He explained very well the different strengths of concrete and other technical aspects of the job to allow us to make informed choices. When they began demolition of the old driveway, the existing concrete was much thicker than anticipated, probably because it was so old and may have even been part of a foundation at one time. Bill didn't miss a beat when he ran into this snag. He secured the proper equipment needed to handle the more difficult demolition and kept the job on schedule. He added a fun decorative touch with curves on the driveway that looks fabulous! Our neighbors were very complimentary of the work as well.

Bill Watson the owner of the business dealt with us one-on-one. He was on the job every day from start to finish supervising every detail. Bill provided us with valuable information and guidance in the design of the drainage system for rainwater that would eventually be covered by the concrete. When we indicated we wanted to add a drain in the patio near one edge to handle the rainwater runoff he provided suggestions on material to use and sloped the entire patio to that drain. Shortly after a heavy rain the patio is near dry with no standing water.The results of the job was absolutely beautiful. Everyone who sees it gives it rave reviews. Many months after the job was completed we wanted to add some color contrast to one portion of the patio. Even though Bill had been paid and his part of the job completed he still took time to stop by the house and give us some advice or what we wanted to do. We have recommended Bill to our neighbors who hired him to replace their driveway and he did a beautiful job custom designing their walkway entrance to the house. Bill is friendly, knowledgeable, courteous and a true professional. I recommend him to anyone who needs concrete work done. I would use him again for any job I had. In addition his cost for the job was the best value of the many estimates we received.

Bill and his crew are really great guys. They are very punctual and polite. (My two greatest pet peeves are punctuality and manners.) They worked quickly and efficiently and always cleaned up after themselves. They even washed down my back fence and the side of the garage to make sure there was no loose concrete stuck to them. Between the price of the job and the quality of the work, if we ever have anymore concrete work done, I'm calling Bill FIRST.

I contacted Va Beach Hardscapes after looking on Angies List. The owner (Bill Watson) came over and we discussed the project. He did a design and gave me a quote. I agreed and entered into a contract. Bill and his team got the building permit and within a few days they were here digging the foundation. They arrived on time every day and cleaned up every day. The brick work was fantastic. The new deck is beautiful. Bill and his team did a GREAT job.

From start to finish, Mr. Bill Watson and his crew were very professional. Mr. Watson came to our home on a Sunday morning (8 am) to provide his quote. Out of four companies I contacted, he provided the most affordable bid. He explained in details the scope of the work. After two weeks the job was complete (including weather delays). We love the outcome and my neighbors were very impressed with the work. During the course of the job, his assistants even took out our trash on pick up days when we forgot to do it. They also fixed our storage door without being asked to. Each day after they are done with their work, they ensured to cover a gap on our backyard gate to prevent our dog from escaping. Lastly, Mr. Watson came over to follow up on his work two weeks after it was completed and left us a thank you card with a gift card. I highly recommend this company.

We are very pleased with Virginia Beach Hardscapes. Bill was always on time for appointments and very prompt in returning phone calls. His estimate for the patio was spot on with no hidden or additional charges. Bill was always on the job whenever work was being performed and his employees were polite and very neat/clean in their work. Overall we are very satisfied with the quality of wormanship and attention to detail in making our patio part of our living space. We would definitely hire him again for any future concrete projects.

VBH was excellant. They were first class and the work was outstanding with a very fair price. This was hard work with a huge unknown risk - they overcame all obstacles with a smile. They were very responsive and very quick (hardworking). Great company and service and easy to work with.

Mr. Watson was always punctual, gave us a thorough estimate that was very reasonably priced, and called back to ensure all of our questions were answered. On more than one occasion, he let us know that he truly appreciated our business, and this was evident in the quality of the job performed. Even after the estimate was given and work began, he was very flexible and accomodating when we requested a few small changes be made. His assistant, Tap, was equally friendly, professional, and did an outstanding job. Both men always showed up when they said they would, and the job was completed on time and looks fantastic. We would certainly use this company again in the future should we ever need any concrete work and highly recommend them

Very well. Responsive, punctual, and professional.

It went very well. It took 4 days to accomplish but was worth it! All my neighbors love it and I get many "Drive-byes" from curious residents. Stamped concrete is the way to go.

It went very well. Mr. Watson and his "Pavers Plus" is a new business; though he has been doing cement for some time. He had just been to a "paver" school/training in Arizona and clearly knew the technical aspects of the various substrates/sands and bricks that he used. He made good recommendations, and he listened to our preferences. He was careful in his work and really did a professional job--much better than I would have done if I'd attempted it myself. He carried away all debris, was understanding when the cat walked across his nicely smoothed base, and was a pleasant man to deal with.
