The pest control technician was on time. He treated indoors and out, answered all my questions. He was polite, friendly, professional. We are on a one year contract with them for $252. They'll come once/quarter to treat and extra treatments if needed. We haven't seen any insects in the house and they've come back for 2nd treatment last week. I feel confident we won't have any issues with pests. George was the termite control and I knew we had issues under the crawlspace from previous damage. He inspected and sent us the digital images. He explained and answered all my questions regarding moisture damage and moisture control. They installed a dehumidifier and vent caps. The dehumidifier hose wasn't installed on the right side of my yard so I called George and he had them come back out and fix it right away. He came back to inspect and had to have the electrician come back because the dehumidifier wasn't working. I was impressed that he stayed on top of it and made sure the whole job was completed properly. Everything is working fine now. We are on a contract with them for termite and moisture control. The dehumidifier equipment and installation, electrical hook-up for dehumidifier, wood treatment, vent caps was $3,105.00. The following month, around Aug. 20th, we heard noises in the wall. I called Universal. They came right out, inspected our attic and discovered evidence of rats. They completed treatment for that around Aug. 24th. They tore out old insulation, put in new insulation w/pesticide, did sanitation and exclusion treatment. That was $2,575.00 They were professional, friendly, and hard-working. There was boxes of "stuff" up there from previous owners they had to clear out too. I think overall, a very thorough job!

I contacted this company after my previous company of 18 years would not certify the house because they found one landscaping timber that had termite damage. The other company was going to charge us $2000 for termite treatment. This company was recommended to me by a friend of mine. A gentleman from Universal came by the house to provide me an estimate. I explained the situation and showed him the landscaping timber. He inspected under the house and verified that we did not have termites. He did note the fungus under the house. We had this treated by the previous pest control company and even had plastic placed in the crawlspace for this same reason. Obviously, that did not work. He gave us a great deal on the services needed. Treatment was done within one week of our phone call. I only had one glitch with the billing dept. The quote given, apparently, went across several "divisions" of the company. The initial bill came with the fungus and pest control separated. This made the price go up by about $100.00. I called the billing dept. who assured me that they would pull the initial quote and go by that. We have subsequently had another outside/inside treatment. I am awaiting the bill for that service.

I have a contract with them, and I pay $85 for the year. The last time around, they sprayed for pests. They normally come out and spray at the start of summer, and at other times, they will come out if I call them at no extra charge. Their price has gradually moved up, but it is quite all right. They are responsive and punctual, and their quality of work is very good. I would rate them highly. They are coming out today for termite inspection.

The inspector was extreemly thorough and spent the time to expain the condition of the house that he found. They also were able to provide a very professional and well done job in repairing past termite and water damage they found under the house for a reasonable price. They were able to do the repairs the next day after the inspection. I was very impressed with the whole operation and I feel like they gave me a great price for as quickly as they were able to do it.

George Stapleton came out to give us an estimate on 2/18/11. We were having our siding replaced and had discovered termite damage under the old siding. George and Isaac Brown came out the next day and managed to work around the siding crew as well as to move a good deal of heavy material in order to complete the job. Thank you George and Isaac! I will be sure and recommend Universal to anyone needing pest control services.

He was very vigilant about getting the job. We compared prices and found him to be the best. He had a nice attitude and knew what he was doing. We have not had a problem.

Sent a guy & he sprayed under house & said no one is going to jack up house. Was done spraying in 20 mins. Have been unresponsive & had to push for every mtg. kept pushing off for several diff reasons. Already Pd $1000 & work still not done. This is conclusion for work dated 11/28 for moisture repair in crawl space. Work was eventually done after much MUCH haggling, prompting & calling the owner. After all of this was stood up multiple times by the 'mgr' who repeatedly promised to come & inspect work w/me. Asked for written doc sent describing exactly what was done - never rec'd anything except moisture letter. After finished their work had handyman service (Birch's Handy Man :) come & redo siding that let water in. Pulled away band board & exposed work Universal had done, was terrible. Sill board not cut to proper length, portion replaced not bearing any weight & was overall, poorly done. Ended up jacking house ourselves & recutting sill board to fix problem. DO NOT HIRE UNIVERSAL.

Universal was very courteous until they got our money. They completed work one week before we had a home inspection for the sale of the house done. The home inspector found several areas they missed. When I told universal about the problem, they did not believe me and wanted to see the report. I faxed the report to them, and they said they would fix it. This did not help because the buyer dropped the contract on the house. I called Universal to tell them we had lost a contract because of termite damage on the house. Their reply was that I find that hard to believe. I faxed over the letter from the realtor, but no response. They have claimed to have fixed the damage, but the contract is long gone.
