It was fine. Service is and was prompt. Friendly people.

When he arrived, I saw that he was going to spray inside in the home. I asked him if he was going to get in the crawl space to service termites. At that point, I was informed that the deal didn't include termites but only general pests. He said he would have the office call me with a quote to service for termites and I haven't heard back.

The individual arrived on time and was very thorough and professional the entire time he was here. Answered my questions without hesitation and very knowledgeable. I would definitely hire this company again.

Initially we had a positive experience concerning the perimeter pest control (interior & exterior). The technicans performing this service were very friendly and professional. They arrived pretty much when expected and performed the job as expected. The only negative was their use of glue traps - which we removed upon detection and asked them not to place on our property in the future. They said they wouldn't and they didn't. However, once we decided to cancel the pest control service, a technician still showed up and we were charged for another visit. We paid the bill although we were not happy about the miscommunication. Our opinion of Universal deteriorated when we signed up for their termite prevention program. Two technicians performed the initial work that involved drilling holes into the foundation. They failed to fill all of the holes with concrete after the treatment, and it took them awhile to return to complete this job after we contacted Universal about our concerns. Next, we began having trouble with regards to scheduling inspections related to the termite warranty. Universal would call to let us know that we were due for an inspection. We scheduled the inspection for a Saturday because of our work schedules. No one showed up. We called Universal to inquire about whether a technician was still coming out, and they had no record of our scheduled appointment. We rescheduled the appointment for the following Saturday. Early Tuesday morning a technician arrived asking if he could do the inspection. He said he was in the neighborhood and knew we were due for an inspection. He said Universal was trying to get all of their customers caught up on inspections before the holidays. I explained that because I was getting ready for work, I did not have the time; I also have 4 dogs that I'd have to secure, and this process takes additional time that I did not have. He understood, and asked when might be a good time for him to return for the inspection. I told him we were expecting someone on Saturday, and he said that sounded good: Saturday. I was a little confused why he didn't know we were scheduled for Saturday, but I didn't have time to inquire. NO ONE SHOWED UP ON SATURDAY. My husband called Universal. He was informed that a manager would be in touch with him within about one hour. NO ONE EVER CALLED US BACK. We haven't heard from Universal since, but they cashed our check that paid for the upkeep of the termite warranty.

Very punctual! Called us in advance of arrival to confirm appointment and that they were on their way.

I bought an Angies list special for this company. They were very proactive on the phone and very polite. The service man came exactly when scheduled. He did a quick inspection of the outside and inside of the house but not under the house. He pointed out locations where insects might come in. Our issue was ants. We didn't see any but he treated the trouble areas and sprayed around the house. He seemed to be very knowledgeable and discussed the process with me. I was very pleased at the time. However a few days later, we had a real problem with those tiny ants in several areas and they did not appear to be dying off.. I thought that perhaps the treatment was not very effective. He had mentioned that areas might need treatment several times. However I didn't see any real change in the ant infestation after treatment which is why i didn't give them and A rating. While they were very nice to deal with, I think we will stay with the company we already had for annual termite inspection and i will try their ant control program. However, I think we certainly got our money's worth from Angie's special in information.

Tech was punctual, courteous and explained what he was doing. I was concerned because I had a kitten and didn't want them ingesting poison. I put the kitten away while he sprayed the perimeter and he told me it was non toxic as soon as it dried. No problems at all.

The pests have definitely decreased even during this very rainy fall.

There was a "guy before the guy" that came out to access the rodent problems. I feel he was trying to get me to buy extra services that weren't necessary. That is why I gave then a B overall and also for professionalism. The actual man who sprayed and put poison out was very nice and more jnformative. He said the damage in my insulation looked like an old problem because there weren't a lot of droppings found. If I listened to the first man I could have ended up spending two grand on random services to fix my so called terrible mice problem. I'm sure this was just propoganda but kind of frustrating because I'm young and new to home ownership. As for price. Very decent. Four trips this year for 250. I would have given them an A if they put mice traps down as well but they only had rat traps. It took less than an hour and it was pretty simple.

Things went very well. The inspection and sales visit went smoothly. Scheduling the first treatment was easy, but we had to change the date, I think, a couple times. The technician almost left without completing the termite treatment. Honest mistake, I'm sure. We've had a couple follow up visits, which are free and then another quarterly pest treatment ($99). We have seen some bugs, but I'm sure it would be much worse without the treatments. The roaches around here are really bad and friggin' huge! I think we have a whole colony living under our deck. We will continue with the quarterly treatments and renewing annually for the termites until we have reason not to do so. Customer service has been good and the technicians have all been very nice.

The serviceman was very friendly and answered all my questions regarding the safety of the pesticide with regards to my toddler.

I used this company because I had hear such good things about them, and the Big Deal was a really good deal for a years worth of pest control. They come out every 3 months to spray inside and out. I wasn't happy with the initial visit because I had pulled furniture away from the walls for him to spray behind. Well he only sprayed around the rugs in the middle of the floor; assuring me that it will kill any bugs that come near it. Well that is nice if the spiders decide to come to the middle of the room, but what about the spiders on the wall and ceiling? After that first visit, I still had silverfish, spiders and ants. I called for them to come out again and he couldnt for several weeks because they are only allowed to spray so often in the house. I have children so its hard to find a time to leave the house for them to spray. They say the spray isn't harmful but I dont like the idea of them being there while poision is being sprayed. I have had them cancel on me once or twice. They are very friendly when you call and they have been trying to come out and correct the problem. It has been several months and I still have spiders everywhere, but I think it is more because of the weather. I dont know if I will renew after the year is over.

We have been a long-time customer of Universal Pest & Termite, so we knew first hand that an Angie's List deal for this company was too good to pass up. The representatives are always punctual, friendly, and professional, and they touch base at least once yearly to discuss any maintenance or new needs.

Have been using Universal since 09. I like the people, they are fair and honest. I plan to have them come in and put a moisture barrier in my crawl space.

Follow-up contact is a bit lacking. I haven't had any bug issues though, so I have to go with it has gone well.

They schedule you starting with the first of the month each quarter. They call to confirm the day prior. Service is fast and thorough and the tech is knowledgeable.

He arrived on time and completed the job in a timely manner. He was professional and courteous. After a week or so, I was annoyed that I continued to see some bugs of the variety I had hoped to eradicate, but I assume it takes times for the process to work. I haven't seen any more recently.

We bought a deal through Angie's list. They called me to set up an appointment, and it went off without any problems. They were late, but it was all right, as they called before they were late to let me know they were running behind. They communicated with me, because my time is important too. That made them golden in my book right off the bat, but it got even better, as they were there when they said, 45 minutes later, and treated the house and outside area's. I felt very happy with the service, and would use them again if I needed to, but the ants and spiders have been under control, so it has been a very successful business venture.

2 weeks later all 3 types of pests reemerged in the same supply. Their service seemed to have no effect.

Started out trying to sell a contract before any service was performed. Wanted to see how the serviceman performed before buying a contract. He didn't spray all of the rooms; didn't even walk in the room where I was sitting. Over the next couple of weeks saw more bugs in the house than before the service was performed. Not what I expected.

They were good. They were easy to work with and to easy to schedule the appointment with.

Had a coupon for an initial treatment for mainly ants and earwigs around house. Tech came out and sprayed around entire house and visible baseboards inside. Nothing spectacular about the visit, what I would expect though. However, after a couple of weeks, the ants had not even begun to go away a little, so I called back and the woman I talked to said they could send someone back out and quoted a price. Decided to go with a remedy found in a local store and it seemed to have worked better.

i guess the services went well over all, but i didn't receive the outcome I had expected
