Tile-It

Billy put the floor down and said to call him anytime if something goes wrong. He said to call him after 7 days, 7 months, 7 years, it didn't matter. We have cracked tiles and the grout is cracking and he never returned our calls. We filed a complaint with the BBB.

He talked a good game from the start, gave us reasonable pricing, but did not pay attention to detail. Laid the floor in the wrong pattern and had to lay another floor on top as we had radiant heat strips under the tile. He came back several times after the initial job was completed to fix areas we complained about, left placed pegged up with no caulking and I haven't been able to get ahold of him since - I stopped calling back in Jun as I was getting his email, but no call backs. I since have had someone else in to complete the work and will be billing Tile-it for the finish work since they did not finish the job.

Billy and his fellow workers were here on time, always let you know when they would be there day and time. At the end of the day they would let you know when they would return, who would be there, and what would be done. Always professional and all are very easy to work with. He would take our input into the design but if you asked for his input or his teams they will give you their thoughts and ideas, very helpful in any design questions you may have. The work he and his team did for our bath was absolutely beautiful! We truly have a spa bath now! I would recommend Billy to anyone who is needing tile work!!! He is doing our other two baths upstairs and when the time comes for our kitchen floor, breakfast nook, entry, and 1/2 bath to be re-tiled I will be calling him! We are very happy to have someone who we trust and we know that our rooms will treated as if they were his!

Bill and his staff are exceptional. Quality and professionalism through and through. Beautiful work. You absolutely will make the correct choice if you use Tile It and Bill Worells. Don't waste your time with any other bath or tile contractor. Simply the best.

He is fast talker and a fast worker. He did provide suggestions which were spot on. The installation of the kitchen backsplash went as he said . They were on time both days and completed the work each day befor they left. My backsplash looks great. I felt the price was too high, but went with this company because of positive references.

Billy and his team removed our vinyl flooring from the kitchen, laundry room, small bathroom and front foyer. They picked up all of our tile, grout, etc. from the store and did a good job tiling the floors. They worked with us to design the tile placement, including incorporating a custom tile medallian we purchased from an out-of-state vendor, thresholds and tile baseboard. They accomodated requests to adjust tiles and add thresholds. Triming doors to the proper size for the higher floors was incorporated into Billy's quote up front, which was nice. Next time we'll ask that the tile saw be used outdoors rather than in the garage so we can cut down on the coating of dust that seemed to be everywhere. The crew was always punctual, even though they were coming across town.. and arrived early in the day working until around 2. They always left the areas in the house neat.

Billy never showed up for the stated date/time. When I called him he made up an excuse about miscommunication but then proceeded to say that it was really because it was a small project and he wouldn't be making much money off of it. I brushed that aside and when the confusion was cleared up we rescheduled for a second date/time. Again, never showed. Instead, I got a text message that said, and quot;due to scheduling problems Tile it will be unable to do your backsplashand quot; When we called to question why, we were told it was because we were trying to nickle and dime them, when in all actuality all we asked for was a military discount which he agreed to nobly, but then used it against us and didn't have the decency to communicate with us. Instead, twice he just did not show up at a said date/time. It sounds like if you have a big project he will be great, otherwise you'll be back burner'ed and strung around waiting for him to show up to get your project completed.

I had called twice on two different days. I left voice messages and have not received a call back.

This was a great experience. We were in dire need of replacing the floor because the previous owners had installed tiles directly on top of the hardwood floor in front of our front door. Every year, the moisture and swelling of the hardwood was taking a toll on the tile, and eventually got to the point where the tile was buckling and we couldn't even open our front door. Bill came in and assessed the situation fully, and had a full plan of action within a few minutes of looking at it. His quote was much more reasonable than another business had given us earlier. Due to timing issues, he wasn't able to start right away, but once we were able to make the appointment, the job only took two days (not even, since both days were half days). He has a great relationship with The Tile Shop and once we picked the tile we wanted, he took care of the ordering, shipping and pick-up of the tile and even returned the extra box of tile that we didn't use for a refund. Very impressed with his professionalism.

Bill came in and gave us an estimate. we worked with The Tile Store for what type of tile we wanted. Bill gave us his price for the tile. The project took longer then expected due to The Tile Store delay in getting the tile off the truck plus they broke some of the bigger pieces. They did an excellant job and would hire them again for any tile project.

Billy had a dumpster delivered on Saturday. He and his crew arrived Sunday to begin the tile removal. Completed the demolition and clean up in one day. Came back the next day to begin the install. Laid out blocks of tiles to see if we liked the pattern he recommended. We did. He and his crew worked hard installing and grouting the tile. The work was completed within a few days . . . on time and exactly on budget. We love it! A month later we had Billy come back and do our backsplash! He and his guys are a well-oiled, incredibly hardworking machine!

The tiling work was a part of a bigger project actually. I have used them in the past on smaller jobs, and I find them to be very good and reliable. William, the owner, is a very creative guy, and he gives me lots of good ideas. Their workmanship is pretty good. There was just one component of the job that I wasn't too happy with. I felt that they did not do the refinishing as well as they could have. It didn't involve tile work, but it involved some re-spackling, touch-up painting and so on. I wished they had told me that they really did not want to do it, and I could have had somebody else do it. However, I would still use them for the tile work because they are excellent with it, and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them. I had a small issue with a couple of tiles once, and when I called William, he was Johnny on the spot and took care of it. Most of the vendors that they use are very good and reliable. I would rate them highly.

great! fast, clean efficient. Owner was on-site nearly 100% of time. Had a large crew with a lot of various talents, works 7 days a week (if you want). Owner checked in each morning for our questions and concerns. Electric radiant floor heating takes special care and equipment. It's easy to screw it up. Tile-it handled this all with no problem. Quite detail oriented. No drama. No surprises. Has good relationship with Mosaic Tile, who supplied the tile and the heating material, making returns, replacement of defective equipment, and pick-up and delivery painless. Contract was complete, detailed and thorough. Keeps meticulous notes on owner add-ons, amendments, and "oh, by the way" and charges for them, as they should. However, took it on themselves to recaulk a tub and regrout a shower for no charge. Quality costs. If you pay peanuts you get monkeys. Tile-It is a top-of-the-line company. We've found our tile guys for life.

It looks very nice. They worked with Mosaic Tile in Virginia Beach and Billy installed it. There were some oil stains in my driveway after he left and he came back immediately to clean it up. He's a very nice guy and is very accomodating. I would definitely use him again.

Excellent. Great advice, and quick, professional service. Came back to do touch-up, even after job was paid for. Billy always answers his phone! Our tiled porch floor is beautiful. This was a fairly small job, but Bill Worrells treated it like one would a bigger job.
