Terrible! We bought a home in June 2017. The seller hired Terminix at closing of the house to install a sump pump for the inches of standing water that accumulated under our new home in my crawl space as part of our closing agreement due to inspection. She paid $5,600+ to have them install a sump pump & a moisture barrier under the house. Fast forward to April 2018 & we had some pest concerns so we called two other pest control companies for quotes on a job. They both mentioned the water under our home so that was concerning since we had a pump in place, they couldn’t tell if it was working. So we called terminix to ask if they’d come look at it considering it had been less than a year since they installed. They were rude to my husband when he called & refused to come out & take a look since we were no longer their customers & the install wasn’t in our name (the previous owner). So I got in contact with them through their corporate Facebook page. The local office got in contact with me imediately & came out. David the tech couldn’t figure out where my pump was plugged in at so he called another guy to meet him 3 hours later at our house because he was familiar with our home. So then the other tech went in under our home, found the pump & drain. Turns out it was never even plugged in!!!! Electrical outlet was in the wrong spot, pump was in the wrong spot, & the drain was in the wrong location & not done professionally, they just had a tube coming out of my deck into my yard, not dug to the street like it should’ve been. So from June-April water was NEVER drained away from my home!!! They are fixing the pump & drain but now I have a water-rotted deck & wooden patio that we had spent money, time, & labor on to repair because we weren’t aware why the water wasn’t draining properly. They are refusing any responsibility for the wood damage. The boards we pulled up were treated wood & they were white with mold! Perfect climate for termites! The mold is concerning with my 6 year olds asthma issues. We are out several hundreds of dollars in imediate repairs & thousands that need to take place. This is seriously the worst customer experience I’ve ever had & I can’t preach it enough. What a nightmare. I can’t stress enough to stay away from this company! You can spend almost $6000 with them, they will fight you & not own up to their mistakes.
