+ -1 moreWe discovered there were wasp nests apparently between the siding on our house and the walls. Terminex came right out when we called and drilled some small holes through which to spray and get rid of the wasps. They were polite, conscientious, and most of all, effective. We do not have wasps anymore, so I would recommend them.
Description of Work: They came and sprayed to get rid of a wasp problem at our house.

+ -1 moreI do also have an annual contract with Terminix. They come and treat in and outside my home. Anyhow as far as the door situation, while they were doing their termite inspection, they found termite damage. Now it was old damage from 35 years ago but they still replaced everything and I did not have to pay anything. They did a great job. They definitely deserve an A for their work. Another thing, if I have any kind of pest problem, they will come right out and take care of it.
Description of Work: I have a five bedroom home and I called Terminix to come in and replace my door and all the carpentry around it.

+ -1 moreI let the scheduler know my frustration and urgency of the service, he would not budge and scheduled me for 8:30 AM the next morning. The next morning we were infested again with ants this time having to throw away my $70 toaster because of all the ants that had swarmed it. 8:30 AM arrived and Terminix had not shown. We called the scheduler again and they did not know where he was. Just after 9:00 AM the technician showed to spray. He sprayed inside and out. Later in the day we spoke to the regional manager letting him know our contract was up in October and we would be taking our business elsewhere. The manager did not show any of the complaints we had made over the year in our file. We gave him previous managers names which we found out were let go. I will never recommend Terminix. Too much money for poor service.
Description of Work: We phoned Terminix a year ago October to obtain service with them for termite tunnels found in our living room. We took a complete contract for silver fish, ants, spiders, rats, termites, etc. We have paid almost $3,000 for one year of service. With Terminix THEY are supposed to call every 90 days to schedule a respray of your home inside and out. You are also able to call them any time for service with the contract we purchased. From the time we signed our contract and hit our first 90 days we had problems. Every 90 days for the past year I have had to remind them it was time to spray our home. We complained numerous times to what we thought to be supervisors which we found out were not. This past week we had an infestation of ants in our kitchen. When I called Terminix to schedule emergency service I was told they were too busy and could not get to me until 8:30 AM the next day. When I asked to speak with a supervisor I was told none were in and wouldn't be available for the day.

+ -1 moreWe use them because the builders used them when they constructed our home, so if we ever end up with termites we know who to talk to. We like using them and so far their service has been good and they have been professional when they come out.

+ -1 moreIn two years of regular contract service, we called Terminix only once for a scheduled appointment. We had an infestation of ants, and arranged for a Terminix exterminator to come to the house on a Saturday morning. I was at the house ALL DAY, but Terminix never showed, never called, and their office is closed on Saturday, so we couldn't reach anyone. That Monday I called to reschedule. They apologized, rescheduled for Tuesday, and then DID IT AGAIN - no show, no call and my husband missed a day of work waiting in vain. He called during the day to ask and was told they're very busy, running behind schedule, but would be there. Never happened. Next day I called to speak to a manager who wasn't available, so I left my name and number. No one ever called back. When I canceled the service, I paid the balance due. Then the following month I received another invoice and have been trying to get their mistake on that bill corrected ever since. WHAT HORRIBLE SERVICE!
Description of Work: This was an open contract billed at $87.00 every three months. Services were to include regular monthly checkups around the exterior of the house, periodic checkups inside the house, and response by appointment to any special issues with pests when reported. Initial service was good, at the time we signed the contract. We had mice in our new house and the problem was resolved in two weeks. Service after this, however, was very poor. The back portion of the house is enclosed by gates, and we could never arrange to complete the exterior service in the back of the house. Once a month, someone would come by and plant a green flag and put an invoice at the front door, but whether they did any work is a mystery.

+ -1 moreNot well at all. I contacted Terminix in December concerned about rodents in my home. The technician came to my home several times between December in March and placed rodenticide once and traps once. He said that was all he could do. Despite my repeated calls and his visits, he said there was nothing else to be done. We still have a problem and it's the end of May!
Description of Work: Investigated rodent presence, said they would eliminate rodents.

+ -1 moreThe home inspector and technicians were professional and appeared to know what they were doing. This is a new service, so the real proof will be how they respond if I ever need them. So far, so good.
Description of Work: Signed up for basic termite protection and general pest control. Home inspector showed up as scheduled (same day I first contacted them.) He performed a general inspection & then provided cost break down for various services. Termite plan was $1372 for first year then a couple hundred bucks annually thereafter. Pest control was $320 for first year then about $300 annually thereafter. The guys with the chemicals showed up as scheduled a couple of days later & performed the actual service. They are scheduled to return quarterly for re-inspections.

Description of Work: After trees were removed, I found trees had been infested with carpenter ants. Terminix sprayed the perimeter of the house to prevent insects for invading my home. Went under house and destroyed nest of crickets. No more crickets in house.

I thought the man was very polite and respectful and the bottom line is they did what I had paid them to do. They offered to come back out regularly and I said I would call when I was in need. They haven t been a bother which a lot of pest companies are.
Description of Work: They sprayed our foyer way and around the base of our home for ants and they also said it covered most bugs of all types.

They have always been upfront with us with the details and we have had a great working relationship with them. They were never a bother to us when they were here working. We have a yearly contract with them for our spraying.

Of course, I think they could drop their prices just a little, but, you get those prices everywhere. The important thing is that they are doing their job well. I have no termites and will keep them around to keep the bugs away.

+ -1 moreTerminix comes out quarterly to check the bait traps for termites. They do a pretty good job, we have been with them for a couple of years. The only problem that we had with them is when they said they would cover silverfish and come out to check for them. They didn't follow up they way they said they would. They never showed up. They are always here for the quarterly check for termites though.

+ -1 moreI am happy with Terminix. I do not see the termites anymore since we have started using them. As long as I do not see them, I am happy with them. I am not to sure on pricing, my wife handles that bill. I would say they are fair because she never complains. We plan to keep them around for another year or so then maybe try to stop and see if they still stay away. If not, we will call them right back.

+ -1 moreI do not need to have my house sprayed all that often, only enough to keep the bugs away. When I do call them, however, they are usually here within two to three days, at the most. The technicians have always been professional and polite. My house remains insect free. I have been calling them for twenty years, so they must be doing something right.

+ -1 moreI didn't think we had any termite problems now. Whenever they came out they were friendly. We thought it was a good deal, but then we thought more about it and decided that we didn t want to pay someone that much money just to see if we had a problem.
Description of Work: They inspected for termites around the foundation and underneath our home. They also installed termite traps around all four sides of our home. We had a yearly contract with them for $1200 a year.

+ -1 moreI have used them in the past for ant control and was supposed to pay them $300 a year for that. I have not been using them for that because they have eliminated the ants totally. I am hoping for the same with the termites. They are very friendly, courteous and polite. They never mess up anything. I think the one set price in the beginning of the year is just a swell plan.

+ -1 moreWe are very happy with the way Terminix does business. There have been occasions when we saw some insects in our house, and had to call them. They came out to spray immediately for no charge. They only charge for the quarterly visits, everything beyond that is free. Their technicians are also extremely well mannered. Our house had been insect free for most of the time we have been with Terminix. If we do see any they are not alive for long.
Description of Work: Terminix International Company applies insect killer to our property. They do this on the outside, and inside, and it happens on a quarterly basis. We are charged once a year.

+ -1 moreTerminix International Company was just a joke in my eyes. This was absolutely just time and money wasted on them. I let them go because when you spray to keep something away and it doesn't stay away, I have a hard time believing they did anything at all. This was not a company I would recommend to people who are trying to keep or get the bugs out.
Description of Work: They did an inspection and sprayed the basement around the baseboards in our home. They also sprayed around the foundation for basic pests like flies, ants and spiders.
