Terminix - Virginia Beach -Termite & Pest Control

I don't have any problems with the guys. They are good. They are a little bit more expensive than some of the other companies but I like their service. They always come out when I need it.

.I was totally satisfied with them. They let me know when to keep my dog in and not let my dog around the chemicals. I have not had any problem with them

I pay them $25 a month. They're thorough, they have a professional staff, I had an ant problem, they got rid of that, they're good, I can call them anytime, they will come out, and do anything, I need them to do.

.We had a contract with them to do the work for pest control yearly on our home. What I found out was not really enforced through Terminix as it was just a independent dealer. They said they were doing work and we found out that they hadn't been doing the work. Then every year they would keep jacking the price up on the service. We ended up having someone else look at it and that is when we found out they had never gotten under the house like they said they had.

They come out once a year. Their work is guaranteed.

It was a good experience. We decided to do our own treatment for pests.

They let a lot of damage happen to my home and they didn’t cover any of it. I had a lot with this company. The technicians are very nice; it’s the company I have an issue with.

We like them a lot. They found something around the house and we are going to get that done. My experience with them has been wonderful. In our area where we live we have a great deal of trust in this company. They have been around a long time. They actually do what they say. We had another company that was much cheaper but they were not good. These people are really good.

I have been using them for ten years. They seem to be fine. I have had some termite issues and they have been very prompt about getting the things fixed. I have termite traps and they check those. They leave me a form that says whether or not they found any termites and whether or not they have to be baited. I only use them for termites and not for ants and spiders. They keep the termites out although they cannot control it a hundred percent. I don't think that they have that much control over it. Overall, they have done a good job by holding the bait and catching them if they appear. I have overall had four or five termites in the house where in the wall would not look right and your finger would go through the wall when you poked around or when you see a bug which would look like one bug but a thousand would come out when you poked around a little bit. This was a panic situation for me. You could have all the bugs in the world on the outside but I would not want them to come into my house. They have done very good. If I had to call them out for an emergency, then they would usually be out here quickly to repair any damage or try to get the bug under control. However, trying to get them to finish the repairs can sometimes be tedious. I don’t think that I should have to call them. When you set up the program for termite abatement as long as you stick with them you would have something like $25000 guarantee against the damage. When you have a hole in the wall where they sprayed things and the baseboards have to be replaced, I don't have to call them several times which has happened a couple of times. They are quick with the bugs but not quick with the repairs. They are good. I come home and there is a thing that says that they were here. I don't have a whole lot of basis for comparing the quality for the bug containment but I would grade them a little lower for the follow up business. They show up quarterly and it is not a big deal. They are very good with their professionalism.

Terminex failed to get rid of termites even though they have been coming to my home since April, 2007. I am now paying thousands of dollars to repair the damage the termites caused. This damage also allowed water seepage around some windows adding to the damage..that I may add Terminex has refused to pay for. They are giving me what they call a fair amount for repairs. In order to obtain the vull value of repairs it would be necessary for me to take them to court and run up more expenses. I do not and will not every recommend this company to anyone. ter

Terminix located the dehumidifier at one end of the house, I guess so it would be easy to change the filter, but it never worked at dehumidify the far end of the house, where the moisture reading from 3rd parties have consistently show above acceptable limits on the far end. I had to bully Terminix in the beginning to actually install a pump and drain line to get the dehumidifier water out from under the house. The device has been "repositioned" several times, all within the scope of the electrical cord, about 20 feet. I had a 3rd party (Tidewater Structural Repair-excellent, BTW) remove all crawlspace insulation, wipe down all exposed surfaces with BorRam to control mold and insects and then re-insulate the floors with extra high quality fiberglass batt less than a year ago. Switching termite companies to A-Active (another excellent firm many of my neighbors use) because Terminix is changing termite to only ONCE A YEAR inspections vs every other month for A-Active, a problem was found with the dehumidifier...again. (I'm uploading pix following this, if I can). After about two weeks since their last attempt to fix this, the Terminix dehumidifier is: sitting in a pool of it's own water the pump drain line is looped so high it drains back condensed water before it can pump the water outside the foundation 110 v electrical wiring from the pump and dehumidifier are wrapped around copper hot water pipes under the bathroom (a safety and code violation--I assume the GFI or Circuit breaker would "catch" any leakage, but Terminix just electrified my plumbing). I've hired TSR to rectify the problem, open the crawl space back up, add themovents, and a fan on a humidistat. It's clear after 3 or 4 years that trying to retrofit a crawlspace with a dehumidifier and then seal it is a losing proposition. Terminix has been fired.

We have a contract with them. They keep the bugs away. They are clean and efficient. When I need extra service, they respond fast.

Their price is very low. It is better than other places. However, I still find them to be expensive.

I have a contract with them and I spend $180 a year but the last time they came out, I spent $1080. They were good. Their technicians are good. Their technical people who came out were professional. The finance team did not handle the finances well.

2333398547A0110118I like the way they explain, what they are doing. I use their services especially to treat termites and interior bugs. They are polite and punctual to perform their services. Their services are reasonably priced. If I decide not to go with a particular service at that time, they re-schedule it, according both our conveniences. Their gesture to call me before they come is appreciable. I will continue to use their services in future.

Overall, I am satisfied with them. They did what they said they would do. Their customer service is satisfactory. It has worked out well. They have followed up whenever I have needed them. They charge me $75.00 per quarter. I have 2 service contracts with them, so I would use them again.

The whole experience was a used car sales pitch. The "inspector" wanted to sell $4595.00 worth of goods and services. The "inspector" tried to convince me that I needed a vapor barrier and dehumidifier for under my house. Even though there is a vapor barrior is in place and intact. The inspector was not expireced in the construction of my house and was rude when I questioned his explaination of what services were required. When asked about the existing vapor barrior the inspector stated that there was none present which is not the case.

They're pretty good and we're satisfied. Their service has been pretty good!

We have used this company to treat our home for the past five years. I feel that they are a dependable company. I like that if I see any bugs, that I can give them a call and they will be to my house shortly.

They are great. They are here to check every time without fail. Their pricing is very competitive with all the other market prices. I would use this company again and recommend them.

We have been using Terminix since 2002 for ant spraying. In July 2005, we discovered we had termites. We called Terminix and they came out and sold us the bait trap system. Big mistake. In February of 2007, we discovered termite damage in two of my kitchen cabinets. We called Terminix, complained and told them we wanted Termidor applied. They initially fought us, but said they would treat with Termidor, which they did last March. Long story, short, we still have the problem. They did not drill into the foundation or trench around the house as they should have and we still have a problem. I went with another company and just had treatment with Termidor today. I am very satisfied with this new company, they are very professional and quite knowledgeable. I'd never recommend Terminix to anyone. The bait trap system is an antiquated system that does not work. Termidor should be used by all companies. They get an F in my book.

Both did a very professional job. Time will tell, of course, but I am confident that Donte took care of the issue and will be back again on a regular basis to maintain the premise pest free. Dave and I are still working out the need for termite and moisture control. We should arrive at an agreement shortly.
