Tom and his team were wonderful to work with from start to finish! Soon after contacting Tom about my interest in several home renovation projects, he visited the house to talk through each of them with me, as well as offer his ideas and suggestions based on each unique space. He was communicative throughout the process and was easy to reach when I had a question. Stafford and Son Builders is a highly professional, highly skilled team with a true attention to detail. The project was outstanding in all respects. The final product looks awesome and seamlessly blends into the original house structure. Stafford and Sons was excellent to work with. Tom and his professional team of experts were punctual and knowledgeable. The price quote given was accurate, and the project was completed in exactly the amount of time expected (even with pandemic delays and shortages). Tom and his team were courteous and respectful of our home and yard. After a few months our kitchen is still working great and looking great. We would not hesitate to hire Stafford and Sons again.

Fantastic! Tom was great to work! I highly recommend him and his team. This was not an easy project but it was handled with the utmost of professionalism. They showed up when they said they would and it was completed on time, on our budget and needs. They always cleaned up everyday and were very respectful of our home. Tom did a great job communicating with us about the timeline and what to expect. All in all it was a great job done by everyone involved and we love the end result.

Tom was the epitome of professionalism. We had a major job of removing all Chinese drywall throughout the house and replacing all major systems, flooring, plumbing and electrical. Tom managed the entire project, gave us regular updates, was always reachable by phone or text, and came in slightly under budget. I highly recommend Stafford and Son Builders for your project, big or small. You will not be disappointed!

We hired Tom to complete an addition/renovation project for us and are extremely happy with the results. We have a disabled child so built a first floor accessible bedroom suite to accommodate his care. The project also involved renovating existing space including removing a load-bearing wall, and adding a new deck. I was impressed with Tom from the first encounter. I had about 15 different contractors quote the project and Tom spent the most time looking at the project, taking measurements, and asking detailed questions others did not. When I told him what I did for work he then dropped three names of colleagues of mine that he had done work for and they all had very positive things to say about him when I asked. He put together a detailed and transparent quote and had a very competitive price. Tom was at the house daily throughout the project and was very attentive to detail ensuring everything was done with high quality craftsmanship. He was flexible when we wanted to make changes or additions, and fair and transparent in his pricing providing quotes from his vendors. He was responsive throughout via phone/text/email. All his workers, whether those he directly employs or subcontractors, were professional and respectful and we felt comfortable having them in our house. The final product turned out great and we couldn't be happier. Several of our neighbors have already had him complete projects for them as well. We definitely plan on using him again for our next project!

Wonderful! Everything we asked was done in the time and at the price we agreed on. This is the second remodel they have done for us and would definitely use them again.

He was very reasonable with the quote...the lowest price he quoted when I shopped around and we even came in UNDER the quote. That never happens. Tom & crew were incredibly professional and the final product was excellent. Stafford & Son Builders is a finely tuned machine. It's clearly obvious that Tom is a high level pro and knows how to skillfully juggle many projects simultaneously, keep to schedule, and quickly handle (the inevitable) unforeseen issues that come up during the remodeling process. They did an outstanding job and we are more than happy with our 'new' home!

Because of medical problems, we had to ask Tom to completely reschedule the project and he was more than accommodating. At every point the work proceded on schedule after that. Tom was always available for questions and concerns, no matter how minor. All the subcontractors provided high quality products. Every member of Tom's team was professional and very interested in our specific needs. They were all extremely nice people to have met and had a chance to talk with. It was an exhausting project but I know we chose the right contractor to get us through it. I still love to walk into my kitchen and bathroom every day and admire the finished product.

I would highly recommend Tom Stafford and his team of craftsmen at Stafford and Son Builders. I was given a calendar that outlined the work over about 6 weeks. Toms and his team were able to stick to it and even finish some items a few days early. All this was done over the thanksgiving and Christmas holidays this past winter (2019) and they stuck to the schedule. This was a complete "gutting" of a really outdated kitchen, removal of a wall, countertops, flooring, the whole 9 yards. His crew cleaned up after themselves after each day and made as little impact on my family and I throughout the process. We are very happy with the finished product and would highly recommend.

Tom and his crew did fantastic work. We had a master bath, florida room and indoor porch added onto our home. The crews were on time and tidy. They were also very knowledgeable about what needed to be done. There were a couple minor hiccups, but I don't know a project that doesn't. They were promptly resolved. The tile work in the master bath was outstanding. Thanks for the great work!

Tom did a great job was very responsive and always on time. He kept us informed of the progress of the project, possible delays and completed on time. I will definitely be calling Tom again for future projects.

Estimates given were accurate. Repairs were done perfectly and we were very happy with the remodel of the bathroom. All work was done in a timely manner and workers cleaned up well each day. Workers were professional, polite, and trustworthy.

Tom and his crew showed up when scheduled even when I had a hard time giving him a date. They were there every day as scheduled, finished on tome, Helped with difficult decisions. Tile work was perfect. Tom was personally involved with all aspects of the job and checked the work before and after, found minor things that even I didn't find and corrected them. Tom even repaired my front door lock after completion because he didn't like the way it worked. I highly recommend his company to anyone.

This is the 2nd time we have used Tom Stafford and his crew for renovations. The redid our 2nd floor 3.5 years ago (review for that also on Angie's List). This time we needed a lot of other things done to prep the house for sale. As usual, they did a spectacular job. Could not be happier with responsiveness and quality of work. We will definitely be using again on our new house!!

After interviewing 6 contractors for our project, an 835 square foot addition, we selected Stafford &Son. There is no doubt in our mind that this was one of the best decisions that we have ever made! Tom was intimately involved in every step of the process and provided excellent suggestions which immensely contributed to our overall satisfaction. A major concern when taking on a project such as ours is to ensure that the final product seamlessly matches with the original home. Tom's crew exceeded all expectations!!

Extremely satisfied with the finished jobs. We received a detailed, itemized bid/contract which clearly spelled everything out. We were given a calendar with projected dates for demolition, electrical work, drywall work, tiling, etc. As expected with most remodeling jobs, the time frame for completion ran longer than anticipated -- but all for good reasons. Communication on arrival times each day was well communicated in advance. Workers arrived early or on time. On the rare occasions when no workers were present, that information was communicated to us the day before. Tom checked in on site often and answered questions promptly. Workers were diligent in laying drop cloths each morning, and cleaning up at the end of each day. The person who installed the tile (James) was meticulous in preparation of all surfaces and in laying the tile. He offered suggestions on layout and materials, and we are so pleased with the results. We were so impressed with this company that we recommended them to our son, who used them to build an addition to his home shortly after completion of our job. We highly recommend this company.

Extremely professional and reliable company and workers. Everything was cleaned up at the end of each day and we were always able to reach the owner with any questions. We would definitely use them again and would highly recommend. This was a complicated project as we have an old house and added a 3rd floor.

I highly recommend Stafford and Son Builders! They built a new addition on the back of our house, as well as a new deck off to the side of the addition (with two entry points--the addition and the existing house structure). We got 3 estimates before doing our renovation. Tom gave us the most detailed proposal, and was able to walk us through each expected expense. We got the feeling Tom was the best person and company to go with, and we were right! Tom is knowledgeable, honest, and responsive. He checked in on the progress of the addition daily, and always answered his phone when I called. He was very good about asking us questions, giving us the necessary time to answer (like choosing doors/windows/floors etc), and guiding us as needed. The entire process was very smooth, organized, and was completed on time. All of the people Tom uses are great, respond quickly, and do quality work. Stafford and Son is highly, highly recommended! If you're doing any home remodeling or renovations, definitely give Tom a call!
