Very punctual. Tom met with us every morning to go over plans for the day or week. He personally introduced each contractor to us before they began their work. We changed the scope of the job a couple times but they were able to meet our wishes. It really looks great. I highly recommend them for any job.

I asked him if he could get the job done in five weeks, and he got it done in five weeks. He's the nicest man, and did a great job. I would recommend him.

As soon as he showed up it was clear he did not want to do the work. He even said (not an exact quote), "Let's see if what you want to do is even a big enough job for me to bother with." My realtor was stunned and suggested that even if he submitted an estimate I shouldn't use him.

Tom and his team provided a complete restoration of our kitchen (exclusive of replacing cabinets - but that actually made their job harder as existing needed to be leveled to accommodate counters) and the master bathroom, which was gutted and redone completely (except for toilet, vanities and sinks, which were retained and reinstalled). We also had some custom millwork done in several locations to enhance or correct defects in existing. For instance, they completed a custom sliding door over a niche in the bathroom - we provided the specs and had the door made and Tom's carpenter adapted the hanging system to accommodate as well as custom finishing the niche shelves and surround. Throughout the process, Tom communicated updates and managed craftsmen and painters to ensure efficient and mostly seamless execution We are happy not only with the quality of the work but the time and interest Tom paid in discussing the progress and adjusting to changes made as we identified more work as initial work progressed. The entire effort was about 8 weeks onsite (not counting addressing a few punch list items - which Tom had taken care of to our complete satisfaction). We are very happy with the result and are looking forward to have Tom and team work with us to do some work in the living and bedroom areas of the house in the near future. While Tom was not the lowest quote we received for the work, this is a definite example of getting what you pay for as far as both the quality of the product and the relative seamlessness of execution.

I can not say enough good things about Stafford and Sons. Highly recommend!!. We have hired Tom twice now and are very satisfied with his work. We remodeled the kitchen, full bathroom, half bath and the family room. We are very satisfied with the outcome. Tom is very straight forward and honest about everything; he does not try and sell you on anything and allows you to make the best decision. Tom will also work with you on your schedule. his crew is on time and works around you. they clean up and make sure everything is clean. If I have any more work Tom will be the first and only person I will call. Thanks again Tom.

It is with great pleasure that we find ourselves writing this letter of recommendation for Mr. Tom Stafford. We were initially impressed with Mr. Stafford’s enthusiasm, communication skills and professional demeanor when we interviewed him as a possible contractor. Mr. Stafford provided unparalleled customer service for any issues or questions that arose. When we did have questions, which happened often, Mr. Stafford was very patient with us and made sure all of our needs were met and concerns were quelled. He and his crew are reliable, dedicated, and always upbeat! In addition, Mr. Stafford willingly accepted new changes to the contract and offered his ideas wherever he could. Mr. Stafford’s work ethic is outstanding and it is an absolute pleasure to work with him! Mr. Stafford multitasks between his active projects effectively and you will never feel like he is hard to reach or is trying to blow you off. Mr. Stafford consistently met or exceeded all daily project deadlines and promptly coordinated someone coming out if we were not satisfied with the work that was done. We felt very lucky to have such a wonderful resource in our contractor! Mr. Stafford is a very positive and energetic person and he makes sure all tasks were performed in an extremely timely and conscientious manner by his crew. Mr. Stafford’s crew were always dependable, helpful, cooperated in a team effort when needed, made sure that they cleaned up the work area when finished and they all seem like invaluable assets to any project they are involved in. Mr. Stafford employs a number of highly skilled individuals that worked on our bathroom remodel. While they all were great we would like to comment on Mr. James who did the tile in our bathroom. Mr. James work is amazing, we’ve received many compliments from friends & family on the pattern and workmanship of our tile. Mr. James also was a great asset for helping us decide tile placement as he would set up the tile in different patterns to give us visual images which we greatly needed! He continually went above and beyond what is expected of him and we are very grateful!! Used an Angie's List deal for design work (and bid on full remodel) when our kitchen was flooded. Tom was very friendly, punctual, and listened to our input for the design. The proposed price was right in the middle vs. other proposals and the initial design was pretty close to what we were looking for (could have modified had we proceeded further). In the end we went a different route due to budget limitations from our insurance settlement, but would happily call them again if we needed another kitchen or other remodel done.

I will start this review by saying everyone we know found it amazing that at the end of our construction we could still say we loved our contractor. Stafford and Son, Tom Stafford, was meticulous, patient and extremely responsive by email and phone to all of our needs and requests. He was quick to call us and keep us notified of what was happening on our project. As with any project, there were things that didn’t go as planned but he was prepared for everything we encountered. We had a delay with our flooring which wasn’t really anyone’s fault but he called us immediately to keep us updated on the progress daily. His contractors were on time and very knowledgeable in their respective fields but mostly we had no issues granting them access to our home while we were not home. Every sub-contractor Tom used for our job was as professional as he is. I will end this review by saying we will keep Tom on speed dial and once we can afford to do the remodel of our master bathroom he is the first person we will call.

The process for our remodel was always professional, painless, and very efficient. If at any time I had questions or concerns, Tom would take the time and patience to explain the process. I was given a calendar at the beginning of the work that explained when when different stages would take place. Tom made sure work stayed on schedule. I was very comfortable with all of the individuals that came into my home to work and everyone always maintained professionalism. I was impressed that Tom came everyday to ensure that work was being completed and that clean up was done. I would highly recommend Stanford and Sons and most definitely would hire them again. We were so fortunate to find Stafford & Son Builders. They did a fabulous job adding a roof to cover our existing raised concrete patio. The job was particularly difficult in that the existing roof included dormers, etc. that created a very complex roof line to tie into. Tom Stafford was super... very professional and "hands-on"...visiting the job daily, quick to respond to questions and very particular to ensure the job was done with quality. I am sure we could have gotten the job done more cheaply; but, in the end, you get what you pay for!! And, with Stafford and Son what you get is quality, quality, quality and absolute peace-of-mind that the job is being done right. Don't look further for your contractor...hire Stafford & Son Builders!!

Tom was very professional from beginning to end. He always returned calls promptly to answer questions, and addressed issues on the spot. We absolutely love the result!

He arrived on time, as scheduled, evaluated the project, identified some challenges, and provided an easy to understand estimate within a few days. The estimate was just too expensive for us.

All work was exceptional. Tom's attention to detail and quality of work were his top priorities. He worked with us on budget to ensure that we were getting everything we wanted for our money. Tom made some excellent suggestions to help trim our costs. While all of his subcontractors were carefully chosen and did great work it is select crew, Jeremy and Donovan, who were absolutely amazing. My wife and I were completely satisfied with the conduct and execution of the entire product. Mr. Tom Stafford met with us in early January and quickly delivered a proposal for our new room. Tom met with us before, during and after construction, answering all our questions and addressed all concerns promptly. Additionally, he was on sight daily to provide project oversight and quality control. He coordinated all required city inspections and cleared all necessary architectural changes with our Glenwood Homeowners Association. Our room was completed ahead of schedule and under budget. I purposefully delayed writing this review until we had actually used the room for a while. This room is exactly what we wanted, thanks largely to Mr. Stafford's helpful suggestions and guidance during the project. My wife and I are retired and were home during building. I can say without a doubt that construction of this room is of the highest quality. The craftsmen that built our room; the carpenters, electricians, HVAC and flooring installers, plasterers, and painters were all top-notch. We have used this room in cold weather (mid 30's) and hot weather (low 90's). Our new sunroom is probably the most comfortable room in the house. We have always had a central HVAC and the performance of the Daikon Mini-split heating/cooling unit has been a pleasant revelation. It is very quiet and maintains the room at our perfect temperature. Bottom line, we love our room, highly recommend Stafford and Son Builders, and we will use them again for any future remodeling projects we may undertake. I was unable to input the cost of this project in the space provided. The final cost was $34,000 and it was money well spent for my wife and I.

Tom was very punctual in responding to every question we had. Every day that his workers were here he would come by and check and see how things were going multiple times a day. There were things he noticed and we did not a d he had them corrected immediately. I highly recommend this company to anyone.

Tom Stafford provided very helpful suggestions and information at our initial meeting that enabled us to make the decision to proceed with this project. At each stage we were kept fully informed and all our questions were answered. Tom was very easy to contact at all times and responded immediately when communication was initiated by us. Every crew was very considerate, hard working and proficient and all arrived (and left) precisely as scheduled. Clean up each day was well done. Jeremy and Donovan, who worked diligently on matching the roof to the existing slate and installing siding, amongst other things, and James, who did the tiling, deserve special mention. We were extremely pleased with Tom's oversight, attention to detail and commitment to stay within the proposed estimate, even when additional work was required. We are thrilled with the finished product and have no hesitation in recommending Stafford and Son for any construction or renovation project.

Tom was super-knowledgeable, accommodating, and professional. The work was completed with great quality and on time, for less than the competitors asked. He then came to help when we had an unrelated leak, and spared us the need to call a plumber. We highly recommend him.

Once again Tom did a superior job. He is a wonderful person to work with . His work is flawless and quality James does his tile work and I cannot say enough good things about his work. I found this company on Angie's list and you will not go wrong if you hire them. They recently redid our 2 bathrooms and we could not be happier. I have heard horror stories about other companies. But not this one Grade A all the way!!!!!

Tom provided valuable input regarding the design of the bathrooms along with his quote, and quickly. We hired Tom, going with his recommendations, and are very glad we did. Both he and James, who did the actual tiling, were extremely polite and professional. James is a perfectionist; he probably drove Tom a little crazy with the time he took to get everything just right, but the results were well worth the additional time taken. Our only reservations would be regarding small details of final installations (toilet paper holders and two light fixtures) that were less than perfect. Otherwise, we couldn't be more pleased with how the renovations came out, realizing our vision for the finished work even better than anticipated. We would highly recommend Stafford & Son Builders.

The job went very well, and we are very pleased with the end result. The transformation is amazing--opening up the kitchn wall to take advantage of the beach front view made all the difference.
