Description of Work: Had a brand new covered (a-frame) wooden front porch built to my specifications. Existing uncovered deck was removed & new one installed. Work was performed as contracted; on time, on budget, and in a professional, even personal manner. I was VERY pleased with the results and would definitely hire them again and recommend them to anyone doing a home improvement project!

Description of Work: Tom was very prompt and professional with his response and estimate. Unfortunately, we underestimated the expense and are now looking at a doing the bathroom project ourselves.

Description of Work: It was just the initial phone call. I described that we wanted to turn our half bath downstairs to a full bath and add French doors, that would need a build out, and he said that the job was too small for them. We had a budget of $10,000 so I guess they are to big for that little of money! The reason I called was because in the photos they have listed, they have a pic of the exact thing we want to do. They added a shower to the half bath. Not impressed at all!!!!!

Description of Work: This was my first experience with a contractor. I am extremely satisfied with the professionalism of all persons performing the services, quality of material used and timeliness of the work being done. I worked mostly with the older Tom. Mr. Tom was prompt with estimates, any followups and was willing to work around my difficult availability scheduling ( I was only avaliable 1 day a week). All of the repair personnell were friendly and took their time to do the job right. They were also kind enough to fix little things they saw around the repair area (fixed the lock on the front door, replaced the missing part under the outside stoop and repaired my bi folding door on the front closet). The whole process from damage that was done, estimate, follow up for additional repairs with insurance company, ordering of window for replacement and repairs was done professionally. This will be the only contractor I will use for my future major repairs or remodels.

Description of Work: We couldn't be happier! Stafford & Son came highly recommended by my sister who had an exterior 20 by 20 sunroom added to her 1950's brick ranch. They did such a nice job in a timely manner and a reasonable price that we decided to have them speak to us about our project. From the beginning, Tom and Tommy were nothing but punctual, professional and easy to work with. Our house is on the market and was only a three bedroom. I had a vision to turn a large old master and large outdated bathroom into two bedrooms with a Jack and Jill bathroom in-between. The whole space wast gutted. Demo, frame work, drywall, trim carpentry, plumbers, painters, electricians, HVAC, carpet, tiler , port o potty, dumpster.... This would turn the house into a 4 bedroom and therefore be more marketable. Of course no one wants to spend a ton of money when selling. Stafford & Sons took my vision and turned it into a reality at a reasonable price. It was completed in a timely manner ( 5 weeks) and not a day went by that work was not being done. I am a stay at home mom and here everyday to experience their professionalism and wonderful sub contractors. They came in on budget and we now have two beautiful bedrooms with a great bathroom with pocket doors for both bedrooms and a 5 foot walk in tile/marble shower. Our home is on the market for over a million dollars and their craftsmanship only increased the value and will ultimately lead to the sale. We will defiantly use them again on our new house renovations which will include a gourmet kitchen, hardwood floors and I am sure so much more. It is my pleasure to recommend them and speak to anyone that is looking for a contractor.

Description of Work: Stafford and Sons built a very high end custom waterfront home on my lot on the Chesapeake Bay in The Bay Breeze Point neighborhood in Norfolk, VA. The job was a complete turn key based on a custom design from a local architecture firm. The lot and home price exceeded a million dollars. The square foot of the house was approximately 3700 sqft on three levels and included special items such as tankless hot water heaters, a complete metal roof, elevator, and three inches of closed cell foam as the house must endure high winds from the bay. The windows are Anderson's highest level and all flooring is hardwood or tile.

Description of Work: They demoed two bathrooms and remodeled them. They built a shower and tiled it in the master bath. They replaced the tub in the hall bath. They tiled the floors in both baths and the tub surround in the hall bath. They installed new toilets, vanities, mirrors, towel bars, glass doors, and painted both bathrooms. They replaced electrical outlets, switches, light fixtures.
