We were told that this company does not pull up existing vinyl flooring and we would have to do that due to possibility of asbestos. As our home is only 10 years old that seemed a little farfetched but my hubby and I got on our knees (we are pushing age 70!) and got it all done somehow. They did take up the carpet and padding however (for an additional fee). They then put down the hardwood flooring in a large living room/dining/kitchen area and toe molding (AKA quarter round). Did a beautiful job on the flooring and worked long hours every day. Had a mud room and 1/2 bath done in new vinyl also. Everything on the floor looks fantastic but they messed up the walls with gouges and black marks in many areas. We had to hire a painter to come out and patch holes and repaint. I called Lowes and Quality to complain about the wall damage and after some back and forth and a visit from Quality supervisor to look at wall damage I got a phone call from one of the owners or managers and again after some back and forth we agreed that either a credit of $250.00 or a check to us for that amount would be fair compensation for our damage. After several days we got a check in the mail from Quality for the agreed upon amount. So overall I am very pleased with the flooring job but a little irritated that the same people who put flooring in so nicely messed up my walls and if I had not pushed the issue we would have had to live with the damage.
Description of Work: This company has the contract with Lowes in many locations to do their flooring installations. I picked out hardwood flooring for one part of my house and vinyl flooring for a mudroom and half bath area at Lowes in Tappahannock, VA. They told me I would be contacted by Quality to have someone comeout and measure and dtermine the exact scope of work. Man came out and measured and we agreed on who would move what out of the rooms involved. Workers showed up on time and did the flooring.
