Mr. Craig comes across as knowledgeable and responsive. He was easy to work with, typically professional until his work was complete and the guarantee period began - he then became totally unresponsive and did not live to professional standards he displayed during base work period. Started on time and got off to a very good start Excellent communications and cooperation from the start until he perceived work complete Generally responsive and easy to work with although some problems with control of sub contractors Work stalled at about the 80% completion stage and then stumbled to completion nearly 2 months late. Punch list followup was adequate to achieve final payment. Plumbing work was unsatisfactory although the problems did not manifest themselves until several months after the work was considered complete. On time completion appeared to be delayed by obtaining parts/materials (nearly all of which were identified at or before work start) There was a one year guarantee period in the contract which Mr. Craig refused to honor. He refused to return phone calls and when he finally did respond he would schedule followup visits for work - then not show up or call at the time of the appointment with some excuse. Subsequently, he failed to return any calls or live up to any of the guarantee provisions of his contract. These issues cost me an additional $3000 to date. The actual cost and impact is unknown due to collateral damage from the poor plumbing work. This contractor's marks above for overall, responsiveness, professionalism and punctuality would be more positive had he lived up to his obligations or even been responsive during the guarantee period. I would recommend insisting on a penalty fee for late completion, careful monitoring the plumbing work as occurring, and withholding a percentage of the final payment until the end of the guarantee period.
